This document outlines the agenda and content for an anti-racism/anti-oppression professional development conference for those working in settlement services. It discusses systemic barriers faced by newcomer immigrants and refugees from racialized communities. Statistics are presented on trends in visible minority populations in Canada and disparities they face. The need for an anti-racism framework in organizations and service delivery is discussed.
