The document summarizes two studies on anthropometric measurements of populations. The first study (Gallwey and Fitzgibbon) measured dimensions of 164 Irish males. The second study (Al-Haboubi) measured 408 males from a mixed population in Saudi Arabia. Both found significant differences compared to U.S. data. Al-Haboubi also found differences when comparing dimensions between populations from different countries. Future studies should collect functional data for homogeneous and mixed groups, different age groups, include females, and find reach envelopes for design.
