ACCUMULATOR
HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS
 Pressure intensifiers, also known pressure
boosters are used to compress the liquid in a
hydraulic system to a value above the pump
discharge pressure.
 An intensifier is a device which converts a
large-volume, low-pressure fluid supply into
a proportionately small-volume, high-
pressure fluid outlet.
 It finds its application at places where a
liquid of very high pressure is to be
developed from available low pressure.
 Its used to hydraulic presses, riveting m/c.
spot welders.
