communication of information usually
PAID for and usually PERSUASIVE in
nature about products, services or
ideas by IDENTIFIED SPONSORS
through the various media.
Objectives of
Advertising
The companies which are in their INTRODUCTIVE
STAGE generally work for this objective. The trial
objective is the one which involves convincing the
customers to buy the new product introduced in the
market. Here, the advertisers use flashy and
attractive ads to make customers take a look on the
products and purchase for trials.
This objective is concerned about keeping the existing
customers to STICK ON TO THE PRODUCT.
The advertisers here generally keep on bringing something
new in the product and the advertisement so that the existing
customers keep buying their products.

This objective is for the companies who want their previous
customers back, who have switched to their competitors.
The advertisers use different ways to attract the customers
back like new advertise, some reworking done on packaging,
etc.

world. It consists of television, radio , or Internet
advertising. The ads on the television have a large audience
and are very popular. The cost of the advertisement
depends on the length of the ad and the time at which the
ad would be appearing.

At the end, it can be concluded that most of the
criticisms against advertising are not entirely true. In
the present competitive world , advertising helps in
effectively communicating with the target market,
Increasing the sale and reducing per unit cost of
production.
It is not a social waste, rather it adds value to the
social cause by giving a boost to production and
generating employment.

  • 3. Advertising is the NON-PERSONAL communication of information usually PAID for and usually PERSUASIVE in nature about products, services or ideas by IDENTIFIED SPONSORS through the various media.
  • 5. The companies which are in their INTRODUCTIVE STAGE generally work for this objective. The trial objective is the one which involves convincing the customers to buy the new product introduced in the market. Here, the advertisers use flashy and attractive ads to make customers take a look on the products and purchase for trials.
  • 6. This objective is concerned about keeping the existing customers to STICK ON TO THE PRODUCT. The advertisers here generally keep on bringing something new in the product and the advertisement so that the existing customers keep buying their products.

In the present competitive world , advertising helps in effectively communicating with the target market, Increasing the sale and reducing per unit cost of production. It is not a social waste, rather it adds value to the social cause by giving a boost to production and generating employment.
