The document discusses advanced manufacturing systems and compares conventional and advanced manufacturing. It describes types of advanced manufacturing systems like JIT, CIM, and FMS. JIT focuses on producing only what is needed when it is needed to reduce inventory. CIM uses computers to control manufacturing processes to increase speed and reduce errors. FMS allows flexibility to react to changes in production. The document concludes that advanced manufacturing uses computer technologies and skilled workers to efficiently produce a variety of products in both small and large volumes.

This power point slide is all about the contemporary trends in quality engineering and management.every one should have a knowledge about the quality engineering in a 21st century.quality gives you more success in life.i had been giving you some techniques use in quality engineering program for a business purpose.
This presentation is focused on the topic of automation and its various applications. It is my pleasure to share with you the information and insights that we have gathered on this subject.
Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.
Overview of the fundamental roles in Hydropower generation and the components involved in wider Electrical Engineering.
This paper presents the design and construction of hydroelectric dams from the hydrologist’s survey of the valley before construction, all aspects and involved disciplines, fluid dynamics, structural engineering, generation and mains frequency regulation to the very transmission of power through the network in the United Kingdom.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
HEAP SORT ILLUSTRATED WITH HEAPIFY, BUILD HEAP FOR DYNAMIC ARRAYS.
Heap sort is a comparison-based sorting technique based on Binary Heap data structure. It is similar to the selection sort where we first find the minimum element and place the minimum element at the beginning. Repeat the same process for the remaining elements.
2. Definition of Advanced Manufacturing Systems (AMS)
Conventional manufacturing v/s advanced manufacturing
Advantages of AMS
Types of AMS
JIT (just in time manufacturing)
CIM ( Computer integrated manufacturing)
FMS (Flexible manufacturing systems)
WCBM (World Class Business Management Practices)
Conclusion
3. The main differences are :
Volume and scale of economies.
Labor and skill content
Depth and diversity of network surrounding
the Industry.
4. Introduction of new technology.
Relevant,attractive,Trade oriented product
design.
Minimized manual work maximized machine
work.
Minimization of cost.
9. Next process takes only the
required quantity from the
previous process. This is called
the Pull System.
When the previous process
manufactures only the number of
items to be used in the next
process, it is called
Replenishment Process.
12. Computer-Integrated Manufacturing is the
manufacturing approach of using computers to
control a production process.
WHY?
Manufacturing becomes faster and there are less
errors.
The main advantage is the ability to create
‘automated’ manufacturing processes
13. F.Y.I.
Relies on closed-loop control
processes, based on real-time input
from sensors.
There are at least two computers
exchanging information, e.g. the
controller of an arm robot and a
micro-controller of a CNC machine.
14. Means for data storage, retrieval,
manipulation and presentation;
Mechanisms for sensing state and
modifying processes;
Algorithms for uniting the data
processing component with the
sensor/modification component.
15. A flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is a
manufacturing system in which there is some
amount of flexibility that allows the system to
react in case of changes, whether predicted or
unpredicted. This flexibility is generally
considered to fall into two categories, which
both contain numerous subcategories.
16. The first category, machine flexibility,
covers the system's ability to be changed
to produce new product types, and ability
to change the order of operations
executed on a part. The second category
is called routing flexibility, which consists
of the ability to use multiple machines to
perform the same operation on a part, as
well as the system's ability to absorb
large-scale changes, such as in volume,
capacity, or capability.
17. Reduced manufacturing times,
Lower cost per unit produced,
Greater labour productivity,
Greater machine efficiency,
Improved quality,
Increased system reliability,
Reduced parts inventories,
Adaptability to CAD/CAM operations.
Shorter lead times
