The Importance Of Arts Education
Yes. Art is an important class. Everywhere you look you see artworks. Arts are everywhere today in
our life it became the important part of our daily life. Arts education helps students develop creativity,
visual learning, self confident, decision making, improved academic performance, and self motivation,
all of which are necessary to be successful in life. Arts education isn t something we add on after we
ve achieved other priorities, like raising test scores and getting kids into college, said the First Lady
Michelle Obama. Art education is important for future students. Art allows students to learn about
themselves, their culture, their community and the world around them. The creativity and imagination
of students will be pushed through the development of art. Art uses science, math, creativity, and
ideas. Art uses math because math involves shapes and angles and etc. and when people make an art
project with geometric shapes they use math to find what is this angle worth? Science needs art
because art helps people to understand what they are learning in science classes. Scientists always use
and draw models which includes art. Body(200 250 )
Creativity, visual learning, Improved academic performance
Arts improve our creative skills. Whether it is thinking, painting, cooking or dancing, we do art as if it
s our own. Creativity in art class helps allow students to show themselves better than English or math
class. Arts education is one of the most important

Raphael Research Paper
Raffaello Sanzio, known as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect born in the mountain town of
Urbino. In his early years, Raphael was trained by his father Giovanni Santi, a court painter and
versifier, allowing him to gain a wide education in the arts, literature, and social skills. This enabled
Raphael to move easily amongst the higher circles of court society and this helped him gain
recognition. His career falls naturally into three phases and three styles, first described by Giorgio
Vasari: his early years in Umbria, then a period of about four years (from 1504 1508) absorbing the
artistic traditions of Florence, followed by his last hectic and triumphant twelve years in Rome,
working for two Popes and their close associates. (Raphael Biography)
Raphael s mother Màgia died in 1491, followed by his father in 1494 causing him to become orphaned
at the age of eleven. He was left under the supervision of his paternal uncle, Bartolomeo. This is of
course, when he wasn t serving as an apprentice to a master. He had already shown talent, according to
Giorgio Vasari, who tells that Raphael had been a great help to his father . In these years he developed

This was accepted with great pleasure by this up and coming artist who now had solidified himself as
more than just an aspirant, but a successful artist. As it happened, the biggest commission of Raphael s
life brought him into a direct encounter with one of his idols. Just down the corridor, Michelangelo
was engaged in the greatest solo project of the Renaisssance, the painting of the Sistine chapel.
(Donegan) Michelangelo didn t think very highly of Raphael, and thought him unworthy to work on a
project of such high religious significance. This began one of the greatest artistic rivalries of all time

The Effects Of Race On America Today
The Affects of Race in America Today
By, Alex Peterson
Soc 420 Final
Racial oppression and racism have been an issue seen throughout the history of the United States.
During the 60 s the era of the Civil Rights movement Americans saw advances in racial equality. This
seems to have created a notion throughout the United States that racism was not an issue for many
years. Yet racism still seems to be engrained in American society, it is just hard to realize when it is
happening. Recently racial controversies surrounding the United states Justice System have been
making the news headlines. What Americas are seeing is institutional inequalities that are creating
racial conflict. Institutional inequalities have lead to racial oppression do to the power structure in the
United States. Critical Race Theory provides an explanation showing that race is imbedded in
American society today; can the theory explain why racial inequalities between the United States
Justice System and citizens of different colors seems to be a reoccurring cycle. Throughout the next
few paragraphs I will be explain how race is affecting the United States in modern society. First I will
explain Critical race theory, a sociological theory that can help us better understand where these racial
issues stem from and why these conflicts are still happening in modern America. I have found an
article on the Huff Post called Demands for Justice Are Failing Black Women and Girls by Kali Nicole

Visual Stream Mapping
VISUAL STREAM MAPPING 1.1 Introduction Lean manufacturing is a production practice that
considers the expenditure of resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end
customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination. Working from the perspective of the
customer who consumes a product or service, value is defined as any action or process that a customer
would be willing to pay for. The goal of Lean is to becomes the creation and maintenance of a
production system which runs repetitively, day after day, week after week in a manner identical to the
previous time period. Lean is actually the set of tools that assist in the identification and steady
elimination of waste. As waste is eliminated quality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the product. 3. Identify pollution and wastes generated by the production activities. 4. Identify root
causes of wastes and inefficiencies. There are a number of common icons used in value stream maps,
but icons can also be customized to best serve a value stream map. Icons help distinguish different
elements of a product line from another. For example, different arrows should be used to distinguish
between product and information movement. The figure 1.0 below contains commonly used icons in
value stream mapping. Figure 1.0 1.4 Implementation Once future state map completed a plan to

Newton s Third Law Of Motion Research Paper
Newton s third law of motion also applied to the baseball and enhances baseball. Newton s Third Law
of Motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction . (책) Baseball players,
especially outfielders understand this as a baseball that goes up should come down. () Newton s third
law claims that whenever an object uses force on another object, the second applies an equal and
opposite force from the first object. So, when the ball hits and reaches to the bat, the bat uses a force
on the ball that equals of the ball on the bat. Also, there is a net force on the ball due to the forces
acting on different bodies even these forces are both equal and opposite. (*) Additionally, 뉴턴의 운

reach the target base. For example, Hall of Fame leadoff hitter Ricky Henderson used his velocity and
the laws of motion to hit, get on base and obtain records of 1,406 bases. ( ).To sum up, Newton s third
law of motion is applied to baseball closely and improved this sport with several physical concepts.
In conclusion, Newton s three laws of motions are applied in several parts of baseball play and this
sport has been enhanced through applications of laws of motion. A lot of skillful players are using this

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Voltage-Source Inverter
Abstract The Z Source Inverter (ZSI) overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional Voltage Source
Inverter (VSI) and Current Source Inverter (CSI), it can buck and boost its output voltage by utilizing
the shoot through state which is forbidden in traditional VSI. Different PWM techniques are available
for the control of Z Source Inverters. In the traditional PWM technique equal shoot through time
interval is considered for the three phase legs. Hence, the realization of the shoot through state is easy,
but the main drawback of this modulation method is big inductor ripple and a large inductor when the
output frequency is low. In this paper, a novel Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM)
technique to reduce the inductor current ripple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to equation (14), the eight switching vectors, output line to neutral voltage (phase voltage),
and output line to line voltages in terms of input DC voltage Vdc, are given in Table1
Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) refers to a special switching sequence of the upper three power
transistors of a three phase power inverter. It has been shown to generate less harmonic distortion in
the output voltages and or currents applied to the phases of an AC motor and to provide more efficient
use of supply voltage compared with sinusoidal modulation technique. The biggest difference from
other PWM methods is that the SVPWM uses a vector as a reference. This gives the advantage of a
better overview of the system.
Out of the 8 possible switching states, two are zero switching states and six are active switching states.
These are represented by active (V1 V6) and zero (V0) vectors. Six nonzero vectors (V1 V6) shape
the axes of a hexagonal and feed electric power to the load. The angle between any adjacent two non
zero vectors is 60 degrees. Meanwhile, two zero vectors (V0 and V7) are placed at the origin and
apply zero voltage to the load. This is shown in Fig.

Wealth Argument Analysis
A middle class citizen sits in a courtroom while a wealthy citizen sits in a different courtroom. Same
charge, different outcome. The wealth gives the first class citizen a very unfair advantage within the
judicial system. First, he can hire lawyers that know how to find any and every loophole in the system
to get their client off with little to no charges. Even if the charge is as drastic as manslaughter. This
happens everyday all over the country as wealth bails people out of consequences.

Plato And Aristotle s Views On Life And Political Regime
Western philosophy s origins can be traced back to the ideas of Greek philosophers Aristotle and
Plato. Aristotle and Plato were philosophers who lived in Athens, Greece who critically studied
matters of human life, political rule, human nature, and therefore wrote on the subjects. Plato s ideals
are theoretically based and although Aristotle was one of his students his thoughts and ideas are more
practical and biologically orientated than Plato s ideals. Although Plato and Aristotle have similar
ideas on ideal human life and political regime there approach on both is distinct, since Aristotle
focuses more on developmental and practical forms of life and Plato strives to proclaim the ideal
forms although they may be unattainable. An ideal purpose or function exists for individuals in both
Plato s and Aristotle s conceptualizations of mankind. This ideal purpose is called a telos, and every
human being has a telos to live up to. According to The Republic written by Plato the soul consists of
three parts: reason, spirit and appetite. (Plato p. 130: 435 b c; p. 135: 440 e) Each person is governed
by one of the three components of their soul and it ultimately determines their role in society.
Individuals with a soul that is dominated by reason are the only ones that are rational and those who
spirit or appetite rule there body are deemed as irrational. The component of reason in the soul is the
rational part which is wise and rules the spirited and appetitive

Dystopian Literature In Never Let Me Go And The Handmaid s...
Popular literature often reflects society s beliefs and struggles, and dystopian fiction is once again
gaining popularity. From Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro to Hulu s reimagining of The
Handmaid s Tale, written by Margaret Atwood, and all the young adult dystopias in between, one does
not have to search far to find a unique dystopian read. While every dystopia is different, these novels
have similar characteristics that define their genre.
These two novels appeal to me because they are unique depictions of dystopian societies. The
narrative style of Never Let Me Go slowly unveils the dystopian qualities of Hailsham, the primary
setting of the novel. Readers of this novel develop an attachment to the characters, only to find out
that these characters with their dreams and plans already have a destiny written out for them; they are
clones and they will be organ donors until there is nothing left to give. Similarly, in The Handmaid s
Tale, women are subjugated and used, with their futures planned for them. There is no freedom for the
clones or the handmaids, and these beings are treated as less than human. The thing that makes these
two novels different from most of the dystopian novels I read (usually young adult) is the fact that in
Never Let Me Go and The Handmaid s Tale, the protagonists aren t heavily involved in overthrowing
the status quo. In fact, in the former, the protagonist accepts her fate without any fight. This is
interesting as most dystopian novels leave you feeling good after the protagonist (usually a teen in the
books I read) manages to defeat tyranny and create a better society for future generations. For a long
time now, I have found dystopian societies fascinating, and these two books in particular appeal to me
because they are different from the dystopias that are usually read. The Handmaid s Tale follows many
of the conventions of post modern literature as well as feminist literature, however, it is a novel that in
my opinion does not fit neatly into any category. According o Ramen Sharma and Dr. Preey
Chaudhary, research scholars of Singhania University in India, one major convention found within
post modern works is paranoia. (cite this). According to Gina Whisker, Atwood s

Reflection Paper On Project Management
EXTERNSHIP PAPER DRAFT

1. Courses I Am Taking This Quarter
In the first quarter I am enrolled for the hybrid course Project Management BA63177 H3 (Instructor
name is Dr. Eric S. Harter) and will be taking the Information technology from January 2018 in the
same semester. I requested for this plan because of my marriage in November 25th 2017. Thanks for
being flexible in timely manner.
2. Link outcomes from my 1st course to My Workplace
They Items I learnt and liked something interesting in the course , some of them are listed below
enterprise performance management, project monitoring ,project planning, and project management.
The enterprise performance management is it kind of framework for organizing analyzing the business
and this process used to rule the overall performance of the system. It is also helpful in the work
environment for driving the unified set of object into planning monitoring executing the deliverables.
It also improves the financial operations with efficient results. The most important term in the course
is project management which is the root of organizing and managing a project from scratch to the
completion of any project. Project manager role is important for any successful completion of the
project. The rules and responsibilities of the resources could be decided by the manager. Manager is
ideally responsible for making big decisions in the project. Scheduling the project is another important
aspect which adds the value to the project and provides the commitments. Initial stuff is planning
which defines the needs of the project and designs, define how to move forward with the project. This
also includes gathering the right resources for the right task and at the right time. The project manager
should be qualified enough to get the tasks or projects delivered in time.
In my job I have observed some of the concepts that I have learned in this course such as I have been
introduced to my project manager, so he has gathered the technical skills information from me and
analyzed in all perspectives and assigned me to the right project under the supervision of another
manager who is dedicated to that project. There I have observed how the

A Comparsion of the Bhagavad Gita vs The Gospels Essay
Coming from a western culture, it is easy to familiarize with the Gospels over any other written text.
In order to get a different perspective on the outlook of life, it is better to compare the Gospels to
another written text. A text that is an excellent candidate to stand up next to the Gospels is the
Bhagavad Gita (or just the Gita). These two texts can depict similarities and differences between the
two cultures presented: Christianity and Hinduism. Keeping an open mind when reading cultural texts
is what makes the texts more interesting and informs the reader more clearly. The analysis between
one western text and one non western text can really widen the perspective of one person. Due to the
fact that Krishna from the Gita seems to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the messages is to basically love God more than anything and put him before everything. The
verse of Matthew 22:37 states that: Thou shalt love The Lord Thy God with all Thy heart, with all Thy
soul, and with all Thy might. Likewise, the Gita says, Keep your mind on me, be my devotee,
sacrificing, bow to me you will come to me, I promise, for you are dear to me (Gita 155). Clearly the
meanings behind both these quotes are the same but just worded differently. Krishna and Jesus
constantly emphasize certain aspects that are similar to the other person s teaching. This goes to show
that even though Hinduism and Christianity are two separate cultures with two different scriptural
texts and two different religions, the idea and meaning behind both of these religions are closely
related. No matter how different the two religions may appear to be, the meaning behind their
scriptures is what really defies their religion. Just because the two religions believe in different deities
doesn t mean that the deities aren t teaching the exact same thing. It s just that the two religions have
different ways of teachings their followers and the teachings are slightly worded differently, so this is
where many people fall into the trap by thinking that the meanings from the two scriptures are
different and unique. Morality is the principles concerning the distinction between right and

Much like Natty Bumpo in The Last of the Mohicans, Nathan sets out to expand the boundaries, not of
America, but of Christianity. His inroads into the frontier have destructive repercussions that are
disguised as progress. Just like James Fenimore Cooper, this author deals with the ideal boundary that
is the frontier and the difference between the civilized and cultivated and the wild and Lawless
(Fiedler 179). Kingsolver adds to this list, however, the Christian and heathen in much the same way.
Nathan Price refuses to see the beauty of the system that is in place and struggles to bend Africa to his

Captivity is a strong theme running throughout American Romantic literature. This novel is a
wilderness romance with strong undercurrents of captivity and escape. Not long after arriving in the
Congo, their minds are already focused on escape. The jungle is a paradise, but a dark, gothic one
where evil lies in wait in the form of venomous snakes, flesh eating ants, and the poisonwood tree.
Just as surely as the slaves in Uncle Tom s Cabin were searching for escape from captivity, so too are
these women and children, and their escape is equally fraught with danger. The entire time that they
live in the village, they imagine that a return to America will release them from their heartache, but
this does not prove to be the case for any of them. Africa takes the life of one sister, holds on to

Mary Mcleod Bethune Biography
In a time of economic failure and discrimination, it was important for leaders to emerge and stand up
for minorities in America. One of these leaders was Mary McLeod Bethune, whose work laid a
foundation for society s view of the black community. Based on her contributions to advancements in
civil and educational rights for people of color, she was arguably the most impactful leader in the

Dbq Cherokee Indian Removal
All men are equal but not the Cherokees? It was not necessary for the Cherokees to be removed from
their land because the Cherokee had many rights and many of them were violated by the government.
The Cherokee were trying everything they could to stay in their land but they could not. For they were
removed inhumanely while attempting to save their nation from being wiped off the face of the earth.
The Cherokee indians were being forced out of the land that rightfully belonged to them. During the
indian removal act of 1830 the Cherokee indians were being forced off their land that was rightfully
theirs for natural resources, gold, and land that the United States of America said that belonged to

Learning is the single most important aspect of any school education. Being able to retain the content
and apply the information is much more important than simply memorizing facts. Earlier this year, I
had initially started to take a certain class that would not benefit me in the future, and instead create an
abundance amount of stress for me, as I had no interest in taking that course and was merely taking it
to fit the norms of other students. Soon after, I realized that taking a different class that actually
interested me would be more beneficial, and thus I would be able to focus on my other courses of high
levels. This switch genuinely allows me to develop a much higher level of commitment for my other
classes and help me retain the information for future purposes. A leader takes diligent time in
considering the ability to adhere to other people s interests and presents their followers with a positive
mindset. This summer, I accepted an invitation to participate in the Dale Carnegie Young Adult
Leadership Program. Attendees of this program learned several skills that can be applied to future
experiences, especially on how to become an effective leader. Everyday, the attendees acted as leaders

Civil service in the United States has a long and complex history. Civil service rules govern how
public employees are hired, promoted and fired. This paper will focus on the selection politics of
public personnel systems as divided in three time periods, the spoils era, the reform era, and
representative bureaucracy. It will discuss the major civil service reforms throughout history in the
Unites States and examine the role that politics and the environment play as an element of civil service
reform in the public sector organizations. The paper will also touch on a number of institutions and

This type of system is usually initiated by government, or as a result of pressure groups and lobbyists
campaigning for a particular disadvantaged group. It is usually found where disparities and
imbalances in employment exist as a result of discriminatory practices on the basis of race and color,
gender, disability, or any other unfair grounds not related to the job. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, as
stated by Desario and Slack, outlawed discrimination in public accommodations, voting, education,
employment, and the utilization of public funds (Farazmand 2007, 355). The Equal Employment
Opportunity Act of 1972 which extended the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requirements and it s
commission was established to enforce Title VII, the employment section of the Act, and the Office of
Federal Contract Compliance to enforce the nondiscrimination requirements applied to government
contractors (Farazmand 2007, 355) on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, or national origin.
Desario and Slack argue that following the intent of the Fourteenth Amendment, affirmative action
meant public policies that afforded individuals opportunity without discrimination. (Farazmand, 2007,
356). Later on President Kennedy used the term affirmative action in context with racial
discrimination and therefore, the goal of affirmative action would shift from equality of opportunity to
equality of outcome (Farazmand, 2007, 357). Affirmative Action is a highly controversial policy. Its
guidelines and policies have resulted in many important changes in the selection process. They have
forced public jurisdictions and public personnel professionals to carefully examine existing selection
procedures and adapt them to the requirements of affirmative action (Rosenbloom, 1985,

Erik Erikson s Psychosocial Development Theory
The psychodynamic approach is predicated on a struggle between conscious and unconscious forces.
As with anything in life forces are always at battle affecting our psyche, development, and mental
health. Erik Erikson s Psychosocial Development theory outlines how environmental forces can either
foster a healthy development or cause maladaptive behaviors and development. Everyone has either
seen or heard the awful stories of children being mistreated to the point it hinders proper development,
and his theory helps to explain how to properly ensure a child, adolescent, or even adult has a healthy
chance at life. The theory has eight stages that span from infancy to death. The importance of which is

To preface, if a person doesn t successfully reconcile the conflicting sociocultural forces in the stage
they re in at the moment does not means there is no hope for the future development for that person; it
simply means not mastering that stage can cause future issues to arise from what each stage
represents. For example a child may have the best environment possible and go through each early
stage with success and then in early adulthood problems may arise that cause them to then not master
the stage there at. Does this mean that person is doomed? No, there is always ample time and
opportunity to access the psychosocial crisis at hand and either seek help for problems presented or
educate themselves as to the proper steps to assure that the next stage they reconcile the forces at
hand. Also, mastery of a stage is not dependent on whether a person can move forward in life, but it
may damper the timeline and cause any number of problems: from mental health issues, inferiority
complexes, guilt, or at worse not being able to face death with open arms and understanding. Erikson
was a Neo Freudian and was taught by Anna Freud, Sigmund s daughter. One can see how Erikson s
early stages of childhood reflect Freud s own personality development. Also, the fact that there is a

Lawrence observed that several delegations ignored the Arabs; therefore the Arabs could not become a

anything about it. In the late 1920s, Winston Churchill hired Thomas Lawrence as an advisor in the
Colonial office. Then Thomas Lawrence retired from the army and wrote a famous memoir regarding
his experiences, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. The memoir would not be published until 1926.
Lawrence slowly became popular and a well known celebrity. Part of the reason he was popular was
because of Lowell Thomas, who supported Lawrence s views. After a few years in retirement
Lawrence returned to the British army as a pilot for thirteen years. Lawrence did not appreciate the

school must make a rule in the code of conduct preventing message t shirts. South Hadley has become
troubled with the safety of both students and faculty. If this irresponsible behavior goes on much
longer the school may not be an exceptional learning environment for students. South Hadley High
School is one of the numerous schools forced to correct dress code. Dozens of students neglect to
realize what harm they are causing by their profane images and slogans depicted on their clothes.
Regulating t shirts is desirable for three reasons. Age plays a large role, students saying hurtful things,
and teaching about language is a school s job. Without a doubt, public schools should regulate
message t shirts. The main reason that public schools should control message t shirts is that age plays
a large role. While growing up the mind of a child is still expanding as is their ability to have rational
decisions. For example, in adolescent years adults can expect the teen to do a task such as babysitting,
but would never ask that from a toddler. As young people age, they are allotted more decisions for
themselves. This is why it is very vital for public schools to manage message t shirts,

Nature is everything which surround us and one of this is the flower. Flower is a part of a plant. It is a
reproductive organ that produces eggs and pollen grains. Many flower have brightly colored petals
and sweet fragrant which make them unique from the other living things. They produce nectar that
attracts insect, animals and human too. While the animals eat on the nectar, some pollen grains stick
on their bodies. When they move to another flower they carry the pollen and help pollinate those
flowers. The pollination by animals are more effectively than pollination by the wind. Why? Because
the animals directly move from flower to flower and not like in wind where the pollen can be carry
anywhere. There is an assurance if it is

Should Child Soldiers Be Granted Amnesty Essay
Child soldiers should be granted amnesty. The reason child soldiers should be considered as victims
are because they are forced into labor, drugged, and threatened into service. Many of these child
soldiers, after being rescued and rehabilitated, are able to be adopted into loving families and lead
normal lives. However, those who are sent back to where they became child soldiers will surely
commit those crimes again.
The first reason that child soldiers should be considered as victims are that they are drugged. In many
cases, after the child is taken away from their family, the warlords and their older soldiers will give the
children drugs such as cocaine, marijuana and narcotics to make them more obedient. In the case of a
boy named Ishmael Beah, he was forced into service by government soldiers through threats, cocaine
laced with gunpowder called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Compare And Contrast The French Revolution And The...
There are many similarities and differences when comparing revolutions. Most of these revolutions
fall in around the same time and some had the same causes/goals. The American, French, and Haitian
revolutions all took place in a span of less than 100 years. While these revolutions have much if
common, they also have differences in the effect of these wars. The American revolution started in
1770 when conflict of the citizens and English broke out. Civilians opposed the English law and they
believed that the taxes imposed were unfair to the people. These disagreements led many citizens to
revolt leading to the protests in Boston and the Boston Tea Party. Many people in the colonies dumped
crates of tea into the water to prove a point that these laws and taxes were unfair. Their goals were to
have unity throughout the colonies and to be free from English law. After the French and Indian war,
the residents knew they had to do something about these problems. After this war, the Treaty of Paris
was signed and the colonies were officially free from England. Since the English no longer have rule
over them, they had to find a new form of government. This was the beginning of the Articles of
Confederation. Which then after influenced the U.S Constitution. ... Show more content on

This same year was the start of the French revolution. The causes of this war were very comparable to
the American revolution, such as disapproval of tax systems and laws, as well as to be free from the
poor leadership of their monarchy. The french though, were suffering from a decrease in crop
production and a poor economy. This revolution lasted 26 years, as a result of this long running battle,
the French started a democracy. This democracy and conflict also led to the rise of

Descriptive Essay About Field Day
FIELD DAY
Everything started to look dim, then I was out. I was at school and I was thrilled for the day to start.
The reason why was because today was field day. So I got to my homeroom and my teacher Mrs.
Martin (my second grade teacher) started explaining what was going to happen today. I couldn t make
out everything from the fact that I was thinking about what was going to happen today. We started
heading outside carrying all the materials we will need for the day.
So if you were not sure what field day is I ll give you a summary of what it s about, so field day is a
day when you hang outside playing games with competition against other classes.
So anyways, my class got to the fields along with the other classes and we started the games. When
the first second of the first game started, I felt nervous. I was very competitive about things and I
wanted to win. I watched as the games went by and I had to because I was the captain and I had to
keep track of the score. We were losing badly and making me think of all of the scores made me
woozy.
When it was finally my game to play I started to feel light headed, but I headed over to my station
anyway. My teammates were Gabe, Laney and some other people. Gabe was behind me and Laney
was in front. The game I was in was the sled pull. I felt like I wanted to drop to the ground. Finally it
was my turn then Gabe tapped my shoulder. You have a tick behind your ear, Gabe yelped.
I didn t hear him and whispered, What.

  • 3. Raphael Research Paper Raffaello Sanzio, known as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect born in the mountain town of Urbino. In his early years, Raphael was trained by his father Giovanni Santi, a court painter and versifier, allowing him to gain a wide education in the arts, literature, and social skills. This enabled Raphael to move easily amongst the higher circles of court society and this helped him gain recognition. His career falls naturally into three phases and three styles, first described by Giorgio Vasari: his early years in Umbria, then a period of about four years (from 1504 1508) absorbing the artistic traditions of Florence, followed by his last hectic and triumphant twelve years in Rome, working for two Popes and their close associates. (Raphael Biography) Raphael s mother Màgia died in 1491, followed by his father in 1494 causing him to become orphaned at the age of eleven. He was left under the supervision of his paternal uncle, Bartolomeo. This is of course, when he wasn t serving as an apprentice to a master. He had already shown talent, according to Giorgio Vasari, who tells that Raphael had been a great help to his father . In these years he developed a self portrait drawing that showed off ... • 4. The Effects Of Race On America Today The Affects of Race in America Today By, Alex Peterson Soc 420 Final Racial oppression and racism have been an issue seen throughout the history of the United States. During the 60 s the era of the Civil Rights movement Americans saw advances in racial equality. This seems to have created a notion throughout the United States that racism was not an issue for many years. Yet racism still seems to be engrained in American society, it is just hard to realize when it is happening. Recently racial controversies surrounding the United states Justice System have been making the news headlines. What Americas are seeing is institutional inequalities that are creating racial conflict. Institutional inequalities have lead to racial oppression do to the power structure in the United States. Critical Race Theory provides an explanation showing that race is imbedded in American society today; can the theory explain why racial inequalities between the United States Justice System and citizens of different colors seems to be a reoccurring cycle. Throughout the next few paragraphs I will be explain how race is affecting the United States in modern society. First I will explain Critical race theory, a sociological theory that can help us better understand where these racial issues stem from and why these conflicts are still happening in modern America. Newton s Third Law of Motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction . (책) Baseball players, especially outfielders understand this as a baseball that goes up should come down. () Newton s third law claims that whenever an object uses force on another object, the second applies an equal and opposite force from the first object. So, when the ball hits and reaches to the bat, the bat uses a force on the ball that equals of the ball on the bat. Also, there is a net force on the ball due to the forces acting on different bodies even these forces are both equal and opposite. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Voltage-Source Inverter Abstract The Z Source Inverter (ZSI) overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) and Current Source Inverter (CSI), it can buck and boost its output voltage by utilizing the shoot through state which is forbidden in traditional VSI. Different PWM techniques are available for the control of Z Source Inverters. In the traditional PWM technique equal shoot through time interval is considered for the three phase legs. Hence, the realization of the shoot through state is easy, but the main drawback of this modulation method is big inductor ripple and a large inductor when the output frequency is low. In this paper, a novel Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique to reduce the inductor current ripple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to equation (14), the eight switching vectors, output line to neutral voltage (phase voltage), and output line to line voltages in terms of input DC voltage Vdc, are given in Table1 Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) refers to a special switching sequence of the upper three power transistors of a three phase power inverter. It has been shown to generate less harmonic distortion in the output voltages and or currents applied to the phases of an AC motor and to provide more efficient use of supply voltage compared with sinusoidal modulation technique. The biggest difference from other PWM methods is that the SVPWM uses a vector as a reference. This gives the advantage of a better overview of the system. Out of the 8 possible switching states, two are zero switching states and six are active switching states. These are represented by active (V1 V6) and zero (V0) vectors. Six nonzero vectors (V1 V6) shape the axes of a hexagonal and feed electric power to the load. The angle between any adjacent two non zero vectors is 60 degrees. • 13. Plato And Aristotle s Views On Life And Political Regime Western philosophy s origins can be traced back to the ideas of Greek philosophers Aristotle and Plato. Aristotle and Plato were philosophers who lived in Athens, Greece who critically studied matters of human life, political rule, human nature, and therefore wrote on the subjects. Plato s ideals are theoretically based and although Aristotle was one of his students his thoughts and ideas are more practical and biologically orientated than Plato s ideals. Although Plato and Aristotle have similar ideas on ideal human life and political regime there approach on both is distinct, since Aristotle focuses more on developmental and practical forms of life and Plato strives to proclaim the ideal forms although they may be unattainable. An ideal purpose or function exists for individuals in both Plato s and Aristotle s conceptualizations of mankind. This ideal purpose is called a telos, and every human being has a telos to live up to. According to The Republic written by Plato the soul consists of three parts: reason, spirit and appetite. (Plato p. 130: 435 b c; p. 135: 440 e) Each person is governed by one of the three components of their soul and it ultimately determines their role in society. • 15. Dystopian Literature In Never Let Me Go And The Handmaid s... Popular literature often reflects society s beliefs and struggles, and dystopian fiction is once again gaining popularity. From Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro to Hulu s reimagining of The Handmaid s Tale, written by Margaret Atwood, and all the young adult dystopias in between, one does not have to search far to find a unique dystopian read. While every dystopia is different, these novels have similar characteristics that define their genre. These two novels appeal to me because they are unique depictions of dystopian societies. The narrative style of Never Let Me Go slowly unveils the dystopian qualities of Hailsham, the primary setting of the novel. Readers of this novel develop an attachment to the characters, only to find out that these characters with their dreams and plans already have a destiny written out for them; they are clones and they will be organ donors until there is nothing left to give. Similarly, in The Handmaid s Tale, women are subjugated and used, with their futures planned for them. There is no freedom for the clones or the handmaids, and these beings are treated as less than human. The thing that makes these two novels different from most of the dystopian novels I read (usually young adult) is the fact that in Never Let Me Go and The Handmaid s Tale, the protagonists aren t heavily involved in overthrowing the status quo. In fact, in the former, the protagonist accepts her fate without any fight. This is interesting as most dystopian novels leave you feeling good after the protagonist (usually a teen in the books I read) manages to defeat tyranny and create a better society for future generations. For a long time now, I have found dystopian societies fascinating, and these two books in particular appeal to me because they are different from the dystopias that are usually read. The Handmaid s Tale follows many of the conventions of post modern literature as well as feminist literature, however, it is a novel that in my opinion does not fit neatly into any category. According o Ramen Sharma and Dr. Preey Chaudhary, research scholars of Singhania University in India, one major convention found within post modern works is paranoia. (cite this). It is also helpful in the work environment for driving the unified set of object into planning monitoring executing the deliverables. It also improves the financial operations with efficient results. In order to get a different perspective on the outlook of life, it is better to compare the Gospels to another written text. A text that is an excellent candidate to stand up next to the Gospels is the Bhagavad Gita (or just the Gita). These two texts can depict similarities and differences between the two cultures presented: Christianity and Hinduism. Keeping an open mind when reading cultural texts is what makes the texts more interesting and informs the reader more clearly. The verse of Matthew 22:37 states that: Thou shalt love The Lord Thy God with all Thy heart, with all Thy soul, and with all Thy might. Likewise, the Gita says, Keep your mind on me, be my devotee, sacrificing, bow to me you will come to me, I promise, for you are dear to me (Gita 155). Clearly the meanings behind both these quotes are the same but just worded differently. Krishna and Jesus constantly emphasize certain aspects that are similar to the other person s teaching. This goes to show that even though Hinduism and Christianity are two separate cultures with two different scriptural texts and two different religions, the idea and meaning behind both of these religions are closely related. No matter how different the two religions may appear to be, the meaning behind their scriptures is what really defies their religion. Just because the two religions believe in different deities doesn t mean that the deities aren t teaching the exact same thing. It s just that the two religions have different ways of teachings their followers and the teachings are slightly worded differently, so this is where many people fall into the trap by thinking that the meanings from the two scriptures are different and unique. Quindlen is very smart to talk about such a hard topic for so many people to talk about and turn it into a very inspiring speech about being yourself and straying from the social norm. In the beginning of the speech, she described to us that, when she was younger, she did everything on her power to be perfect including studying, doing well in school, being friendly, but not too friendly and sitting on a housing council. • 28. Erik Erikson s Psychosocial Development Theory The psychodynamic approach is predicated on a struggle between conscious and unconscious forces. As with anything in life forces are always at battle affecting our psyche, development, and mental health. Erik Erikson s Psychosocial Development theory outlines how environmental forces can either foster a healthy development or cause maladaptive behaviors and development. Everyone has either seen or heard the awful stories of children being mistreated to the point it hinders proper development, and his theory helps to explain how to properly ensure a child, adolescent, or even adult has a healthy chance at life. The theory has eight stages that span from infancy to death. The importance of which is Erikson may have been the first and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To preface, if a person doesn t successfully reconcile the conflicting sociocultural forces in the stage they re in at the moment does not means there is no hope for the future development for that person; it simply means not mastering that stage can cause future issues to arise from what each stage represents. For example a child may have the best environment possible and go through each early stage with success and then in early adulthood problems may arise that cause them to then not master the stage there at. Does this mean that person is doomed? No, there is always ample time and opportunity to access the psychosocial crisis at hand and either seek help for problems presented or educate themselves as to the proper steps to assure that the next stage they reconcile the forces at hand. Also, mastery of a stage is not dependent on whether a person can move forward in life, but it may damper the timeline and cause any number of problems: from mental health issues, inferiority complexes, guilt, or at worse not being able to face death with open arms and understanding. Erikson was a Neo Freudian and was taught by Anna Freud, Sigmund s daughter. One can see how Erikson s early stages of childhood reflect Freud s own personality development. Then Thomas Lawrence retired from the army and wrote a famous memoir regarding his experiences, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. The memoir would not be published until 1926. Lawrence slowly became popular and a well known celebrity. Part of the reason he was popular was because of Lowell Thomas, who supported Lawrence s views. They have become concerned because of t shirts showing indecent messages and obscene language. Every day this issue progresses more and more. This has now gotten so out of hand that this school must make a rule in the code of conduct preventing message t shirts. South Hadley has become troubled with the safety of both students and faculty. If this irresponsible behavior goes on much longer the school may not be an exceptional learning environment for students. South Hadley High School is one of the numerous schools forced to correct dress code. Dozens of students neglect to realize what harm they are causing by their profane images and slogans depicted on their clothes. Regulating t shirts is desirable for three reasons. Age plays a large role, students saying hurtful things, and teaching about language is a school s job. Without a doubt, public schools should regulate message t shirts. The main reason that public schools should control message t shirts is that age plays a large role. While growing up the mind of a child is still expanding as is their ability to have rational decisions. For example, in adolescent years adults can expect the teen to do a task such as babysitting, but would never ask that from a toddler. As young people age, they are allotted more decisions for themselves. This is why it is very vital for public schools to manage message t shirts, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of these revolutions fall in around the same time and some had the same causes/goals. The American, French, and Haitian revolutions all took place in a span of less than 100 years. While these revolutions have much if common, they also have differences in the effect of these wars. The American revolution started in 1770 when conflict of the citizens and English broke out. Civilians opposed the English law and they believed that the taxes imposed were unfair to the people. These disagreements led many citizens to revolt leading to the protests in Boston and the Boston Tea Party.
