Is how an individual views who they are based
on their habits, skills and temperament.
Self-esteem
Is an attitude or view that an
individual has about him or herself.
3. Self-concept and self-esteem are
multidimensional:
Bodily self it is self-consciousness, showing
that full-fledged, linguistic self-consciousness is
built on a rich foundation of primitive, non-
conceptual self-consciousness.
Athletic self it is a type of self-schema or
how an individual perceives themselves.
4. Mathematical self influenced mathematical
self-concept, even when controlled for numeracy
skills.
Social self multifaceted analysis of the self-
concept based on the social nature of the self.
5. Self-Description– this forms an individual’s
self-image or self-concept.
In each area of self-esteem, individuals have
a sense of:
Self-regardit is for or consideration
of oneself or one's own interests.
6. Self-affirmation the recognition and
assertion of the existence and value of one's
individual self.
Self-worth It means having unshakable
faith in yourself and in your ability to follow
through and get things done.
