Aegeus Theory Of Theseus
Theseus, also known as Thiseas, is a Greek hero that ruled Athens as king. He was no god nor
had any special powers, just his strength and intelligence to give him a name for himself. There is
many theories on his origin, a question mostly of who his father is. One theory is his father is
Poseidon, his mother being Aethra. This comes into play later on when he is asked to prove his
heritage to Minos, which he does by retrieving his ring in the sea. He ends up being successful, but
Minos just laughs this action off as if it didn t matter much to him. Another theory is that Aegeus is
Theseusfather, which I ve found more stories of because it aligns with the fact that Theseus was
prince of Athens, and to be that he d have to be Aegeus son. In both stories the mother is Aethra.
Aegeus needed an heir, which he left for Aethra to raise until he was ready to retrieve a sword and
sandals left by Aegeus himself. When Theseus became old enough to move the rock that was
imprisoning his birthright, he headed to Athens to meet his father and take his place as prince. This
little adventure, according to Pantheon.org, turned out to be quite rough, as Theseus encountered
many troubles along the way. Dangerous and unsettling, he ended up defeating multiple burglars,
which made him a hero once he returned to Athens. Such a hero, in fact, that Aegeus wife was
concerned about people favoring him over Aegeus and set out to poison the man s wine. She does,
but Aegeus spots Theseus

Kansas City Hyatt-Regency Stairs
In 1980 the Kansas City Hyatt Regency Hotel opened, with the main attraction being the atrium
bridged by 3 walkways on the second, third, and fourth floors which were suspended from the
hotel lobby roof. These three walkways stretched a distance of 37 meters and were suspended
from the atrium s roof by 32 millimetre diameter rods (Delatte, 2009). On 17 July 1981, just over
a year after the opening during a dance, two of the walkways collapsed killing 114 people and
injuring more than 200 others (Delatte, 2009).
Although many factors contributed to the collapse of the walkways, the biggest contributor was
the design. A few investigations ran but one done by National Bureau of Standards (NBS) came to
a number of conclusions. Firstly, the collapse of the walkways happened under the action of loads
that were noticeably less than the design loads specified by the Kansas City Building Code
(Marshall, 1982). Secondly, as constructed, the beam rod connections, the fourth floor to ceiling
rods, and the third floor walkway rods did not satisfy the design requirements of the Kansas City
Building Code (Marshall, 1982). Thirdly, under the original, continuous, rod arrangement, Figure 1,
the beam rod connections would have had the ability to resist the loads calculated to have been
acting at the time of collapse (Marshall, 1982). And lastly, it was also found that neither the quality
of workmanship nor the resources used in the walkways had a major role in starting the collapse
(Marshall, 1982). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even if the details had not been modified the rod hanger connection would have violated building
standards. As built, however, the connection only supported 30% of the minimum load which
explains why the walkways collapsed well below maximum load (Feld and Carper,

Analysis Of The Movie The Montana
Broadway in Missoula, Montana was seen March 25, 2016 in the form of the show Mama Mia.
This comical venue was presented at the University of Montana Adams Events Center, in
Missoula, Montana. A large company of well renowned Broadway actors was seen in Missoula
which led to the large crowds and excitement. The company was composed of Kyra Belle
Johnson as Sophie, Kat Borrelli as Ali, Christina Eskridge as Lisa, Laura Michelle Hughes as
Tanya, Sarah Smith as Rosie, Erin Fish as Donna Sheridan, Stephen Eckelmann as Sky, Justin
Goei as Pepper, Max Ehrlich as Eddie, Andrew Tebo as Harry Bright, Ryan M. Hunt as Bill
Austin, Chad W. Fronwalt as Sam Carmichael, and Joshua Taylor Hamilton as Father
Alexandrios. Many of these actors and actresses have been seen in other Broadway shows as
well as Television and off Broadway shows. Upon arriving at the Adams Center the popularity of
Mama Mia was obvious by the heavy traffic, packed parking lots and long lines to enter the Events
Center. Though the long line was inconvenient it moved quickly and the atmosphere of excitement
made for an enjoyable wait. The masses upon entering the stadium quickly found their seats, and
anxiously awaited the start of the show at eight o clock. The seating was stadium seating, not true
to opera houses, lacking plush chairs and balconies. Instead the seats were made of a hard plastic
and there were no balconies. The temperature was quite warm, making much of the audience a bit
uncomfortable. The stage was

Kevin Hart Research Paper
When reality hits and you see that you ain t growing no more, there s a part of you that realizes
it s time to give up, Hart says. But I just ignored that part. In my mind I was still the tallest kid in
the fourth grade. That s when I was on fire. I played forward. I think I might have technically
been the same height from fourth grade to eighth grade. But I just refused to acknowledge it.
People would say, What are you doing out here, shorty? (Accept And Delude Yourself). Kevin
Hart is a well known comedian and understands the harsh reality in life giving him the recognition
of being a celebrity. With being a celebrity, Kevin has also accomplished a lot of career goals and

Kevin Hart s childhood was very rough since his father, Henry, drank and did drugs. As a
protector and mother to Kevin, Nancy Hart kicked Henry out of the house. However, Kevin lost
his guardian in 2007 when she sorrowly passed away. Kevin then fell into depression until he
found comedy. Later he would say, As a coping mechanism, the young Hart found humor to
battle back the pain of his childhood (Bio.com). This incident lead him to start his comedy line.
This also has an affect on other aspiring comedians when Kevin made it big. It had an effect on
aspiring comedians because it give inspiration on where to get jokes from. Another way Kevin
has influence on aspiring comedians is his family. This particular family member is his father
Henry. Henry has a reputation of being a very bad dad considering his criminal record, the
experiences told by Kevin, and his time outside of the family house. An example of this was
when Henry, was in and out of jail and rarely around (Bio.com). There was really a place where
Kevin got many of his jokes from and that was his father. But the two, even though they
disagreed on a lot, they eventually made up and they were close until 2007 when Henry died of
ovarian cancer. The last way is his whole comedy script and where that comes from. Kevin s
humor comes from a special place that is sacred to him and that is his shady childhood. He gets
his humor from the messed up things in his life, so he does not have to come up with everything
on the spot like most comedians do. An example of this is, The jokes, He has said of his stand
up, come from a real experience (Bio.com). Most of Kevin s jokes are how it is. It also shows
other comedians do not have to make fun of other things, they could be like Kevin and make fun
of himself. These jokes are not fabricated, but true and terrible. These events in his life show how
Kevin has aspired to become a major

Reflection Paper On Retreat
We trudged up the rigid, brown steps, knowing that the unknown was ahead. We were on our
way, traveling down the empty highways to northwest New Jersey. It was a mandatory retreat to
get to know our new peer mentor partners, who we would work with once a month for the next
year. 23 Birch Ridge Road, Hardwick, NJ was the destination. Camp Mason was the place that we d
spend our next two days on Mother s Day weekend. The retreat has changed my life and I am
better because it allowed me to realize that nothing is ever as bad as I think it is and it can
always be worse. As we settled in on the campground that was filled with puddles and puddles of
water all over the ground, we all realized that we had a long weekend ahead of us. We dropped
all of our suitcases off in the cabins and proceeded on to the main lodge, with no expectations for
what was next. The instructors split us up into two groups and then it began. Luckily, my
friends Michael, Justin, and Rupak were in my group with me. It started off with an ice breaker
activity before, which consisted of everyone trudging around the room, hoping that the activity
would soon be over. Once it finally ended, everyone prayed that the next activity would be at
least slightly better. We started to walk out, but before we could leave we passed by another one
of the groups. As expected, everyone tried to procrastinate for as long as possible, discussing how
terribly their days started. We talked for as long as we could before the

Differences Between Informal Logic, And Theoretical...
Introduction
Philosophy is commonly divide to theoretical and practical.Theoretical philosophy is sometimes
confused with analytic philosophy, but the second is a philosophical movement, embracing certain
ideas and methods but dealing with all philosophical subject matters, while theoretical philosophy is
a way of sorting philosophical questions into two different categories in the context of a
curriculum. The topics included in theoretical philosophy are metaphysics/ontology, philosophy of
language, epistemology, philosophy of mind, and logic.
Through studies in theoretical philosophy, it provides an introduction to human reasoning and the
knowledge relating to it, and its different fields support each other. The studies will gain systematic

Natural language here means a language that is spoken, written or signed by humans for general
purpose communication, as distinguished from formal languages (such as computer programming

It focuses on the reasoning and argument one finds in personal exchange, advertising, political
debate, legal argument, and the social commentary that characterizes newspapers, television, the
Internet and other forms of mass media
Symbolic Logic
Symbolic Logic is the study of symbolic abstractions that capture the formal features of logical
inference. It explains and deals with the relations of symbols to each other, often using complex
mathematical calculus, in an attempt to solve difficult problems traditional formal logic is not able
to address.Symbolic logic is often divided into two sub branches:
Predicate Logic
Predicate Logic allows sentences to be analysed into subject and argument in several different
ways. Predicate Logic is also able to give an account of quantifiers general enough to express all
arguments occurring in natural language, thus allowing the solution of the problem of multiple
generality that had perplexed medieval

Avoidance Spirals Case Study
Avoidance spirals are a type of destructive conflict pattern that continuously reinforces conflict
between individuals, thus reducing the possibility of positive conflict resolution. As the model
suggests, the continual avoidance of conflict with others is likely to create a downward spiral in
managing conflictwith others since most individuals who prefer the avoidance conflict style, as
mentioned above, become more and more uncomfortable confronting problems directly since they
have little to no practice or experience in doing so. As such, the personbecomes more and more
fearful of using other conflict styles since they perceive their ability to effectively communicate
their feelings as being poor. The avoidance spiral occurs primarily because

A Community School is a strategy for organizing the resources of the community around student
success. It is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community

With New York City as the largest school district in the country, the successful implementation of
this project can set a precedent as a nationwide model targeted at improving struggling schools
(New York City Community School Strategic Plan). As part of Mayor de Blasio s Equity
platform, the administration is committed to establishing 100 Community Schools by 2017 (New
York City Community School Strategic Plan). Within one year, Mayor de Blasio will have created
128 Community Schools surpassing his goal (83 Renewal Schools and 45 AIDP schools) (New

Strategic Policy Initiatives, Richard Beury, former President and CEO of the Children s Aid
Society, to the newly created position was a strategy to bring the Community School model to scale

teachers, school leaders, and community stakeholders meet to identify school and community

Jess Walter s short story, Bleacher Couch Man is about a 42 year old man named Cole Griffith.
He has two kids, Rita and Alexandra, who he no longer visits due to his divorce with their
mother, Andrea. He lives in a loft apartment just above a furniture store with leftover food
scattered around every room, and to make facts worse, he doesn t even have his own bed;
instead he sleeps on a three decker bleacher couch. A majority of Cole s day to day life consists
of him playing basketball with other middle aged men who are just as sizable losers as him,
because each one of them chose basketball and drinking over a real occupation. Each game

Antibiotics In The 1940 s
Antibiotics have played an essential role in the fight against diseases and infections since the 1940
s. Antibiotics are a leading cause for the rise of global average life expectancy in the 20th and 21st
century. They have greatly reduced illnesses and deaths due to diseases. With the introductions of
antibiotics in the 1940 s, like penicillininto clinical practice, formally deadly illnesses became
immediately curable and saved thousands of lives (Yim 2006). Antibiotic use has been beneficial
and when prescribed and taken correctly their effects on patients are exceedingly valuable.
However, because these drugs have been used so widely and for such a long period of time the

Little research has been done on human superbugs but even less on antibiotic resistance in animals
and whether the bacteria can be passed on to humans (Press Release 1998). The problem with the
growing number of bacteria that are resistance to available antibiotics, is that there are very few
new antibiotics in development. The financial costs of creating newer and stronger antibiotics are
exceedingly high. Pharmaceutical manufactures either don t have the money or refuse to because
of the small amount of profit they will make from these one off drugs. Research institutes are
another option for new antibiotics but also don t have the sufficient financial support (Kesselheim
2010). Antibiotic resistant patients require extensive care and there are rare cases that they need
complete isolation. The cost of this intensive care for long periods of time is phenomenal. With
growing rates of resistance cases more isolation units are going to be in need which will cost
governments hundreds, even thousands of dollars to provide (Lansing 2011). The economic
factors of antibiotic resistance for developing world countries are worrying. Some counties health
systems have no where near enough financial support or staff members to help the number of
superbug patients (Kaier 2011). The economic implications of the growing rates of superbug cases
is concerning. Globally there is very

Causes Of Scarlet Fever Infection
Scarlet Fever When illness strikes, children have a very difficult time explaining how they are
feeling. Thus, parents must rely on visual cues and changes in behavior to determine when their
child is ill. This week s discussion will focus on an 8 year old child who was taken to Emergency
Room with abdominal pain resulting in appendicitis. After surgery was performed, the child then
developed a health care associated infection, scarlet fever. This post will also cover the following
items: implications of being exposed to a patient with scarlet fever, nursing actions to prevent the
spread of the infection, two nursing actions and an explanation of precautions for this kind of

The main risk factor for contracting scarlet fever is coming in contact with the bacteria responsible
for the infection. This bacteria can be spread in respiratory droplets when an infected person
coughs or sneezes. (Centers for Disease and Control Prevention, 2016). An outbreak of strep throat
or scarlet fever in the community, neighborhood, or school may increase the risk of infection. To
minimized the spread of this diseases and other childhood disease parents need to be educated in
the spread of such diseases by requiring children to have immunizations (Pillitteri, 2014).

Oedipus Character Analysis
In the tragedy, Oedipus the king, by Sophocles, the main character Oedipus rules a city called
Thebes. Oedipus, being a tragic hero, was always destined for disaster, but one of the major key
parts that contributed to his downfall was his uncontrollable temper. As a child, he was destined,
by Apollo, to marry his mother and murder his father. So he ran away from his hometown Corinth
in attempt to avoid his destiny, but he unfortunately could not avoid it. He has always been a very
angry and irritable person, but the most important parts of his life that determined his success or
failure was always interrupted by his temper. Oedipuss temper can interrupt Oedipus s life at very
important times. The first example of his anger is when he kills the driver, which ended up
being his father. As he explains his story he says, In anger I struck the driver as he tried to crowd
me off. (pg 45) This example shows how Oedipus s temper can get out of control and can
actually lead to the death of someone. This is significant because this is the part of the play when
Oedipus kills King Laius, his father, literally fulfilling the prophecy, which stated that Oedipus was
going to murder his father, and marry his mother. He completed one half of the prophecy because
he couldn t control his anger. This is important because this shows how Oedipus s temper can
overcome his actions and cause him to go out of control. Although Oedipus didn t know that the
driver was his father, he should never

Pete Turner is a famous photographer who was best known for his colored photography.
All of his images combine bold color and graphic design. Turner uses techniques such as using an
intense color palette, geometry, hue and saturation, creating vanishing points, and surrealism.

and transparency material. At the start of his career he took pictures when he was drafted into the

Hue and saturation are major editing techniques Turner utilizes. In the Nikon USA article
Pete Turner: Master of Color Photography, Turner states, I ll work with color levels and curves,
hue and saturation, but not with filters or composite effects. I don t do any photo composition
partly because I don t like the look of it, and also because it s too easy and too many people are
doing it. I don t like to follow the path of what s trendy. Saturated color helps to emphasize the
boldness of his pictures. He also uses saturation to make parts of his picture more or less bold.
Turner does this to make parts of the picture more apparent than others and this creates vanishing
points. Vanishing points are apparent in all of Pete Turners photos. After saturating parts of the
image and editing it with a digital palette, Turner is able to create vanishing points. Some of the
vanishing points he creates a lot are not straight lines. For example, after he makes a blue and
green that are next to each other bold, he then saturates the area where they meet and this makes the
line blurred and appear not straight anymore. He has done this with people too. Turner makes

Eventually, she enrolled as a nurse at Middlesex Hospital and attended lectures given to the male

She turned to private study and was taught anatomy at the London Hospital and general medicine

Pantheon of Rome and the Parthenon of Athens
Pantheon of Rome and the Parthenon of Athens
Introduction
Since the times of ancient Rome, there has been work of art including architecture. The invention
of architectural objects boosted the construction industry and among the results of architecture was
building of temples. Since the ancient people like the romans had beliefs in gods, they constructed
temples, places of worship. Among them were the Pantheon of Rome and the Parthenon of Athens.
Style of Pantheon of Rome and culture
The temple has a coffered concrete dome of which the romans believed that the temple was
dedicated to planetary deities. The pantheon had an Orb which was a simple of the universe and
this showed the supremacy of the emperor over the world. Additionally, there were also has seven
niches for the altars and statues. At that time there were seven well known planets. Also on the
dome, it is seen a central ring of the Oculus which is surrounded by 5 rings of coffers. These can be
related to the heliocentric view of the cosmos having the sun in the center and Jupiter, Mars, Saturn,
Venus and Moon around it.
Function of the Pantheon of Rome
Used for worshipping gods of ancient Rome. It is of great importance to note that the romans were
keen on astrology. Among the purposes of the Pantheon was that it was a temple cum planetarium
made to bring down the heavens to the earth and to then trap their perfection within the building
and cast a heavenly blessing on the Emperor s earthly power.

Taking a Look at Audience Analysis
Audience analysis is one of the most important elements of effective communication which involves
assembling and interpreting information about the recipients of oral, written, or visual
communication. In order to derive an effective speech or writing, it is imperative to determine the
associated characteristics of an audience. Audience analysis can help you gain valuable insight
about your readers, which can help you to choose and develop a relevant, meaningful topic. It can
also help you to create a writing plan that is tailored effectively to your reading audience, with
appropriate tone, style, language and content.
Generally, audience analysis is the collection and interpretation of audience characteristics through
observation, inferences, questionnaires, or interviews. There are three main ways to adapt to
audience before starting the communication process (Steven A. and Susan J. Beebe, 1997):
Demographic analysis
Disposition analysis
Knowledge analysis
Demographic analysis: It involves age, gender, culture, ethnicity, race, religionand educational
level of the audience. More likely, it gives an idea about:
Is my audience homogenous or heterogeneous? How are the readers alike or different from one
another? Despite the differences, what do readers have in common?
What range of ages is represented?
What are my readers political and religious affiliations?
What is my role in relationship to my reading audience?
Each of these factors affects reader s

America s Homeland Security Strategy
To keep our great nation safe requires the combined effort of a multitude of agencies and groups
nationwide. The US homeland is the physical region that includes the continental United States,
Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and surrounding 500 nautical miles of territorial waters and
airspace (Joint Chiefs of Staff, 2013). The keep the countries boarders secure and over 324 million
Americans safe is a massive task and this broad stroke program involves federal government
including the military, federal, state, local, tribal areas and the private sector along with other
governments with shared interests. According to The Department of Homeland Security(DHS) there
are three key concepts that are the foundation of America s homeland security strategy.
Security
Resilience
Customs and Exchange
This leads DHS to five main homeland security missions. The main two entities that control all
aspects of these programs in a coordinated effort are the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
and the Department of Defense (DOD) even though they are separate roles each impacts the success
of the other.
1.Prevent terrorism and enhancing security: this is best accomplished by prevention of terror
attacks and the acquisition of CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) materials in
addition to controlling our critical infrastructure vulnerability s.

Allegory Of Plato s Cave
The allegory of the cave by Plato is a theory concerning human perception. The point of the
theory is to distinguish between two types of people. People who mistake sensory knowledge
for the truth and people who really do see the truth. The slaves are taken into a cave and chained
down and the experiment begins. Plato s cave can be confusing at first but once it is considered

the blue pill, which will make him fall back into the illusion of the Matrix like nothing happened.
Of course, he chooses the red pill because otherwise the movie would have been boring as hell.
Neo then finds himself aware of the real world for the first time. When he wakes up he is

Colorism In African American Culture
What is Colorism How was it implemented in various cultures? Colorism comes in different forms
between different cultures, as well as within the same cultures. Colorism between African
Americans, Caucasians, and Indians has been a huge problem for many years now. It is sometimes
harder for african americans, and minorities to get jobs, and other opportunities. While colorism is
different from racismthey are closely related.
Colorism is a form of intergroup stratification generally associated with black people in the
United States but is present among all people of color.
(https://www.theodysseyonline.com/colorism and its impact on society ) While colorism is a
huge problem in today s society, I don t agree with it because it is unfair, unjust, and disrespectful.
Colorism is generally associated with African Americans, and is essentially the differences

The theory that those with the lighter skin, are superior to those that are darker. Oftentimes those

It is also a reliable source of income. So many people do not believe they can dance. They think
they are uncoordinated, have no rhythm and most of all, they assume the ability to dance is either
something you have or you don t. They see dancers as members of an unattainable and exclusive
club of good posture, hours of practice and perfect young bodies with plenty of technique.
Dancers are often called the athletes of the arts and like athletes they undergo years of hard
physical training in pursuit of excellence. It is exhilarating watching human beings perform
extraordinary and courageous physical feats. In dance, this energy is used to tell stories and
convey ideas, creating very powerful experiences that can be dramatic, moving and even funny.
(The Autralian Ballet, 2010) However, if you are one of those people who have always thought
you had two left feet, or are just starting out, don t allow any negative thoughts deprive you of the
happiness that dancing brings. No matter what style: jazz, ballroom, belly dance or just plain
shaking it to your favorite tune, dancing is one of the greatest joys in life. It can transform your

On the other side of the coin, being a supermodel is somewhat the same as being a dancer wherein
there are certain challenges that need to be surpassed and most importantly you should ve the skills

Kierkegaard And Nietzsche
Soren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher/existentialist born in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Commonly known as the father of existentialism , his works included strong subjects such as
seeing the human existence as fallen, and that human life is lived in suffering and sin, guilt, and
anxiety. Kierkegaard s work is mostly revolved around religion, specifically Christianity based.
Coming from a line of Lutheran pastors, shows how major of an influence religion is on his work.
On the contrary, Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher/existentialist, was different from
Kierkegaard with a more atheist background. Nietzsche s writing came from somewhere non

As mentioned earlier, Nietzsche doesn t recognize a high power, which is odd because he grew up
among Lutheran pastors. Philosophy of the future influenced Nietzsche s philosophy. He believed
in the after of certain periods. For example, he was post moral, post religious, post metaphysical
etc. He also was the type of existentialism philosopher that was about reevaluating values,
basically giving a new sense of good and bad and to be multi perspectival. However, in Nietzsche
s eyes decision making wouldn t be a burden like it would be seen in Kierkegaard s eyes.
Nietzsche would see as a great process for people to have control over their own lives. Because
he believed in that you should enhance the quality of life and become a work of art would support
that having that free will, will let humanity become, enhance, and create the life they want for

life affirmation, which involves an honest questioning of all doctrines that drain life s expansive
energies, however socially prevalent those views might be. (Wicks 1). With Nietzsche s outlook,
would intrigue modern people today, to proclaim their own lives and make their own decisions.
Also, being constructive, being creative, and reinterpreting everything was a part of the Nietzsche s

Desert Places Robert Frost Summary
Robert Frost was an American poet who commonly used images of nature in his poetry. The use
of nature in poetry is typically used to create a connection between humanity and nature. The use
of nature in his poem Desert Places , published in 1936, does exactly this as Frost, through the
narrator, vividly describes an open field which is covered with snow, and subsequently the
feelings or emotions created within as a response to the observations. The title of the poem itself
already alludes to the central theme of loneliness and death, as a desert is commonly a lonely,
empty and abandoned place. However, the poem itself compares the narrator s life and mind to
that of a desert. Through observation of nature, Frost explores the ability of nature to inspire
introspective thoughts of life and death along with self realization. Frost, through the narrator,
begins his narrative by mentioning that the snow covers the land and everything contained in
that space quickly and without reservation or discrimination. He states, Snow falling and night
falling fast, oh, fast (Frost, 1936, line 1). As he continues his narration about the landscape he is
viewing and about to embark upon, the reader becomes easily preoccupied with the sense of
emptiness and loneliness (Wand, 2013). The speaker mentions the field being almost covered
smooth in snow (Frost 1936, line 3) and the reader is made to imagine the blank, baron and
lonely state. Frost s description of the dark and quiet landscape is comparable to death and the
nature of this inevitable end of life event. This may be Frost s idea of how death approaches and
the effects and feelings contained within its victims. The mention of all animals being smothered
in their lairs (Front, 1936, line 6) shows that death is indiscriminate and covers everyone and
anything in its path. Generally, images of nature are thought to be beautiful, serene, romantic and
typically desired for all these reasons. Frost however, creates a different idea and feeling about
nature with his description of the surroundings. Critics of Frost s poetry view him as a skeptic who
regarded nature as an antagonist (Liebman, 1996). With this criticism in mind, loneliness and a
feeling of solitude is

Domestic Policies Of Thomas Jefferson, William Harding,...
The domestic policies of Thomas Jefferson, William Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Ronald Reagan
varied greatly as they were set forth during different time periods. Firstly, Thomas Jefferson wanted
a government that would respect the power of individual states, operate with a smaller bureaucracy,
and cut its debts. He believed that the government would stimulate the growth of agriculture and
therefore bolster the economy. William Harding, who was president from 1921 to 1923, supported
the Immigration Quota Act of 1921 which made it more difficult for immigrants from Eastern and
Southern Europe to enter the country. Harding was also determined to make the federal
government serve United Statesbusiness interests. Additionally, from 1923 to 1929, Calvin Coolidge
was outspoken in his support for civil rights for African Americans and Natives. He also believed
that the federal government should not intervene in local affairs. Finally, Ronald Reagan was
president from 1981 to 1989, and he set out to cut taxes and deregulate some industries. Reagan
hoped that deregulation would lower costs and boost profits for employers while lowering prices
for consumers. Ultimately, from 1801 to 1989, the United States changed greatly economically,
politically, and socially causing presidents domestic policies to change as well. Firstly, Thomas
Jefferson held office from 1801 to 1809 and established a wise and frugal Government, which shall

Therefore, with this lack of space, the home did not uphold to the municipal code, which would

A gang crime can be occurred anywhere in the town. It may be a local park, a school, a parking
lot, even a groceries store. Gangs mash every property that is in the middle of the battle field. No
business investors want to send their money to develop the place where they think that their
properties and resources will be used for gang crimes. If a neighbor doesn t have any
development, the economy of the town will fall down without braking in the middle. Some gangs
give them a permission to collect monthly money which they called a protection fee . If the owner
did not hand them the fee, they would demolish the store until they get the money. Therefore,
prices of local groceries and commodities have to be risen up to compensate the fee. Gang members
use graffiti to declare their allegiance to the gang, advertise the gang s status or power. Without
permission, they just paint, draw, or sculpt on neighborhoods properties; therefore, it decreases
property values in residential neighborhoods and negatively affects industrial and commercial areas.
The serious effect of gangs activities is effect of teenager, and children. A lot of people said, most
of teenagers minds are hard to understand. Some of them think that join in a gang group is just for

Adversity In Night By Elie Wiesel
Have you ever experienced adversity in losing everything you once believed in? In the book Night,
Eliezer is a young Jewish boy who suffers through the hardships of religious discrimination in the
concentration camps during the holocaust. The theme I plan to talk about is Eliezer s loss of faith
throughout the war and his journey through the horrors of Auschwitz, Buna, Gleiwitz, and
Buchenwald. Religionis a stronghold for most people during times of struggle; the story begins
with Eliezer believing God was the most important thing in his life, to struggling with the thought
of God letting all the suffering happen in Germany. The life of Eliezer Wiesel revolved around
family, religion, and love. I believe his loss of faith impacted his identity, family, and morality
throughout the narrative. During the day I studied the Talmud, and at night I ran to the synagogue
to weep over the destruction of the Temple (Wiesel, 1) This quote showed how sincerely involved
he was religiously; weeping at the destruction of the Temple shows a clear emotional connection to
his faith. As the story progresses, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Structure And Geometry Of Water Molecules Lab Report
Describe the structure and geometry of a water molecule, and explain what properties emerge as a
result of this structure.
Water is a polar molecule that can form hydrogen bonds. Four pairs of electrons in the outer shell
of the oxygen atom repel one another which gives the water molecule a tetrahedral shape. A water
molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. The chemical features show some
properties as water, such as the ability of ice to float, the freezing and melting temperatures of
water, the ability of water to store heat, the formation of water droplets, and waters ability to

Gender Roles In Lillie Devereux Blake s Fettered For Life
In nineteenth century America, there were strict gender roles and expectations that men and
women were expected to conform to. Men were seen as dominant to women; while men were
able to work and drink, women were expected to get married, follow orders from her husband,
and live a life of limited freedom and personal choice. We see examples of these roles throughout
Lillie Devereux Blake s novel, Fettered for Life, as we encounter different women in the text that
are oppressed through physical abuse and lack of agency. However, Frank Heywood, the woman,
manages to outsmart these rules by cross dressing to be a man. She s the only female in the
novel to break free of the slavery of womanhood, and in the process uses her newfound freedom
to act as a voice for the oppressed female population. Not only does Frank aid women and their
oppression, but she also proves that women can do the work of a man, but are denied opportunities
because of their sex. Blake uses Frank s character to demonstrate the ways in which genderroles are
socially constructed, and prove that it s possible to break through the implemented social rules. Our
first encounter of Frank, in the opening scene, leads us to notice something different about him.
Reporting for the New York Trumpeter in the courtroom during Laura s trial, Blake describes him
as having dark ernest eyes, with a strange expression lurking in their depths, an indefinable

mailings from 5 fictitious organizations and one non existent pen pal all promoting sexual
liberation and challenging government censorship. After Jacobson was somewhat responsive, a
government agency attempted to sting him by selling him child pornography which he purchased,
resulting in his arrest and conviction. The court ruled that the government agency did incite
Jacobson causing the innocent person to commit a crime. This case is similar to scenario two as

Socioeconomic Status In America
In the United States, obtaining a higher education is more important than ever. The income gap
between a family of college graduates and a family of high school graduates grew 30,000 dollars in
just three decades (Porter). Institutions of higher education are engines of upward mobility that is
not afforded to the entire population. American society is still plagued with racial disparities;
however, they are no longer the main divider separating Americans. Today, the most imminent
danger to the American dream is socioeconomic status (SES). The Organisation for Economic Co
operation and Development (OECD), an intergovernmental economic organization, found that when
it comes to academic achievement, SES has more influence in the United States

My Statement Of Purpose For Electrical Engineering
Passionate, Curiosity to ask till you are convinced and Clarity such that it sounds simple but not
simpler. The quench for this would be fulfilled by understanding the unknown and what lies
undiscovered. Intrigued by the laws of nature I have always been inquisitive about science and
technology and how it can be most useful to the society. Also over the years, I have developed a
deep interest in a combination of technology and how it can be most useful to the society. I also
have developed an interest in a combination of technologies using electronics and computers. My
special inclination towards Electrical Engineeringhas been primarily because of subjects namely
Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and Computer Organization which I learned during my
undergraduate program. I am equally fascinated by the processors or microcontrollers used in our
computers and smart phones and the amazing number of possibilities they can be made in. I am
strongly determined to learn the working of these systems and pursue a research career in the
same. Hence, I resolved that pursuing M.S. will be an ideal step towards the achievement of my
goal.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These topics have fascinated me ever since. When I studied the fundamentals of analog and digital
signals, I almost decided that Digital Signal Processing will be the career for me. What got me
more enthused in this area was when I learned about microprocessors. I had the opportunity to
study some of the processors during my third and fourth (final) year of undergraduate. That s when
I realized how the two fields could be merged together by having dedicated processors. I was
certain that my interest in this will increase by taking Digital Signal Processing and Computer
Architecture as electives in my final semester of undergraduate

Digital Marketing Essay
You Will Always Cut It With Any Of These Digital Marketing Techniques
Digital marketing keeps growing more and more everyday. Right now, digital marketing is a big
umbrella of several marketing techniques. This is why it is now much more expensive to hire a
digital marketing service provider.
Every mobile app development company includes digital marketing tools in their app. A good
example is the single push button with which you can send posts to all the users of your app. The
common digital marketing techniques have been outlined right below.
1.Social media marketing
People are now generally obsessed with social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... etc. So,
digital marketers take advantage by creating social media account to ... Show more content on

The suggestion will hold water as other participants will take it as a non biased opinion.
3.Email marketing
Digital advertisers send marketing emails to people that have subscribed for their newsletters.
However, before each mail is sent, there will be some profiling. The people who may need the
product are then filtered out. For instance, if the product is ladies shoes, it will be sent to only
ladies. And guys will be left out.
Email marketing has a lot of advantages. It is sent directly to only the intended recipients. It is also
about the most cost effective marketing techniques. Besides, you can be able to track who received
the mail and who didn t.
4.Google adwords
Google AdWords are keywords people are expected to type into Google searchengine when
looking for certain products or services. As a company, you are supposed to link these keywords
to relevant landing pages on your website. This means that when you adopt keywords like Buy a
cheap raincoat , you are supposed to link it to the exact landing page on your website that has all
the raincoats you offer and the price of each of them. It is wrong to link it to your home page as it
will waste the prospective buyer s time and also earn you low quality score.
For Google to display your site on its search engine result page (SERP), you have to submit it to
Google. However, Google has its own set of procedures for displaying results. On its own, Google
has to find, crawl and analyze

Analysis Of East Of Eden By John Steinbeck
Steinbeck s own family and their dreams was a great inspiration for his multi generational novel
East of Eden. His maternal grandfather Samuel Hamilton emigrated from Ireland in the 19th
century to buy land, build a ranch and raise his family in Salinas Valley. From an online article
John Steinbeck s Derry Roots we find out that Samuel Hamilton was born at Ballykelly on 7
October 1830... Samuel emigrated at the age of 17, at the height of the Great Famine, to New
York where he married a young Irish girl, Elizabeth Fagan in the summer of 1849. They came to
California and set up a ranch in the foothills of the Salinas Valley. When Samuel came to
California, all the fertile land was taken. As Steinbeck writes in the first chapter of East of... Show

While the book progressed, the focus switched from the Hamiltons to the Trasks. As the title of
the book suggests, East of Eden was an allegory to a book of Genesis, namely the story of Cain and
Abel. The siblings rivalry for a love of their father transcends through generations. Adam vs.
Charles, Aron vs. Cal. Many of critics attacked Steinbeck for having showed all the symbols too
obviously and therefore the novel is not convincing. As Warren French points out, The
theological disputation is interesting as an exposition of Steinbeck s ideas, but these lack
consistency and might be more appropriately discussed in an essay than a novel (156). Owens
argues that East of Eden may be a much more subtle and complex construction than we are at
first prepared to believe, one deserving of more careful scrutiny than we have yet brought to
bear (74). The most memorable character is Aron and Cal s mother, the amoral Cathy/Kate. She
represents everything evil. Kate is manipulative and is not afraid to kill anyone who stands in
her way. It has been said that Steinbeck s second wife Gwyn was in a way an inspiration for Kate s
character. Kate was a contrast to Samuel s character. Steinbeck s grandfather is here portrayed as a
wise and kind family man, a dreamer, always willing to help. Samuel Hamilton becomes a force
for good, a kind of savior, water witch, grail knight, and non teleological visionary all rolled into
one (Owens 66).
The East of Eden story circles around the Hebrew word: Timshel , loosely translated by a servant
Lee as Thou mayest. It was Samuel, who had a meaningful conversation with Lee, when he realized
what the word meant to

Collect Quality Data
Emergence of Tools and Methods to Collect Quality Data While it is easy to decide that quality
needs attention in emergency medicine the first question when reviewing something is of course,
how? Tools and methods must be developed when investigating anything in order to collect
information. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) describes quality measures
as tools that help us measure or quantify healthcare processes, outcomes, patient perceptions, and
organizational structure and/or systems associated with the ability to provide high quality health
care and/or that relate to one or more quality goals for health care (CMS, 2015). In order for
quality measures to be used, however, how is that data collected? According to CMS... Show more

There was a speck above the island, a figure dropping swiftly beneath a parachute, a figure that

side... then each time the wind dropped, the lines would slacken and the figure bow forward
again, sinking its head between its knee. (103 104) This figure is a dead soldier which would

Summary Of The Political Allegory In Macbeth
William Shakespeare s Macbeth is widely thought to be written in 1606. Three years after the
ascension of James VI of Scotland to the English Throne as James I and some months after the
discovery of the Gunpowder Plot, although the exact date remains impossible to establish. The
turmoil of the era can be attributed to the civil unrest. The narrative acts almost as a instrument to
subjugate an unruly citizenship by purging negative emotions such as anger, fear or anxiety. The
Jacobean era was defined by its conflict not only between two warring ideologies but by opposing
political stances. Unionist and nationalist stood against each other in opposition to the change of
power dynamics, religious upheaval caused Englandto be further divided. Shakespeare s use of
catharsis acts as a balm providing the proper purgation of negative emotion and therefore supressing
real rebellion in James rule.
Lauded as the most instructive tragedy in the world Macbeth follows the typical five act structure
of the era, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and dГ©nouement. The familiarity of
this structure would have clearly reinforced for a contemporary audience that Macbeth would
face his inevitable downfall in the final fifth act. His fall from the seat of power echoes the
traditional belief in the great chain of being and the divine right of kings. As a political allegory,
Macbeth in part serves as a warning to potential despots. As critic Stephen Greenblatt has
observed, There is always someone who escapes the murderer s net, someone who poses a threat
seeks to redress an injury or simply remembers what it felt like to be free and unafraid. Macbeth is
more interested in power than in loyalty. In each subsequent act, we find that Lord Acton s
observation: Absolute power corrupts absolutely is true. Macbeth eventually will stop at nothing
not even his own beheading, to hold on to power:
I will not yield
To kiss the ground before young Malcolm s feet,
And to be baited with the rabble s curse...
I will try the last.
The Scottish play is without doubt an allegorical tool, but it can be viewed from many differing
perspectives for example while the narrative can be viewed as a political statement it could

  • 2. Aegeus Theory Of Theseus Theseus, also known as Thiseas, is a Greek hero that ruled Athens as king. He was no god nor had any special powers, just his strength and intelligence to give him a name for himself. There is many theories on his origin, a question mostly of who his father is. One theory is his father is Poseidon, his mother being Aethra. This comes into play later on when he is asked to prove his heritage to Minos, which he does by retrieving his ring in the sea. He ends up being successful, but Minos just laughs this action off as if it didn t matter much to him. Another theory is that Aegeus is Theseusfather, which I ve found more stories of because it aligns with the fact that Theseus was prince of Athens, and to be that he d have to be Aegeus son. In both stories the mother is Aethra. Aegeus needed an heir, which he left for Aethra to raise until he was ready to retrieve a sword and sandals left by Aegeus himself. When Theseus became old enough to move the rock that was imprisoning his birthright, he headed to Athens to meet his father and take his place as prince. This little adventure, according to Pantheon.org, turned out to be quite rough, as Theseus encountered many troubles along the way. Dangerous and unsettling, he ended up defeating multiple burglars, which made him a hero once he returned to Athens. Such a hero, in fact, that Aegeus wife was concerned about people favoring him over Aegeus and set out to poison the man s wine. She does, but Aegeus spots Theseus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Kansas City Hyatt-Regency Stairs In 1980 the Kansas City Hyatt Regency Hotel opened, with the main attraction being the atrium bridged by 3 walkways on the second, third, and fourth floors which were suspended from the hotel lobby roof. These three walkways stretched a distance of 37 meters and were suspended from the atrium s roof by 32 millimetre diameter rods (Delatte, 2009). On 17 July 1981, just over a year after the opening during a dance, two of the walkways collapsed killing 114 people and injuring more than 200 others (Delatte, 2009). Although many factors contributed to the collapse of the walkways, the biggest contributor was the design. A few investigations ran but one done by National Bureau of Standards (NBS) came to a number of conclusions. Firstly, the collapse of the walkways happened under the action of loads that were noticeably less than the design loads specified by the Kansas City Building Code (Marshall, 1982). Secondly, as constructed, the beam rod connections, the fourth floor to ceiling rods, and the third floor walkway rods did not satisfy the design requirements of the Kansas City Building Code (Marshall, 1982). Thirdly, under the original, continuous, rod arrangement, Figure 1, the beam rod connections would have had the ability to resist the loads calculated to have been acting at the time of collapse (Marshall, 1982). And lastly, it was also found that neither the quality of workmanship nor the resources used in the walkways had a major role in starting the collapse (Marshall, 1982). ... The masses upon entering the stadium quickly found their seats, and anxiously awaited the start of the show at eight o clock. Another way Kevin has influence on aspiring comedians is his family. This particular family member is his father Henry. Henry has a reputation of being a very bad dad considering his criminal record, the experiences told by Kevin, and his time outside of the family house. An example of this was when Henry, was in and out of jail and rarely around (Bio.com). There was really a place where Kevin got many of his jokes from and that was his father. But the two, even though they disagreed on a lot, they eventually made up and they were close until 2007 when Henry died of ovarian cancer. The last way is his whole comedy script and where that comes from. Kevin s humor comes from a special place that is sacred to him and that is his shady childhood. He gets his humor from the messed up things in his life, so he does not have to come up with everything on the spot like most comedians do. An example of this is, The jokes, He has said of his stand up, come from a real experience (Bio.com). Most of Kevin s jokes are how it is. The financial costs of creating newer and stronger antibiotics are exceedingly high. Pharmaceutical manufactures either don t have the money or refuse to because of the small amount of profit they will make from these one off drugs. • 17. Oedipus Character Analysis In the tragedy, Oedipus the king, by Sophocles, the main character Oedipus rules a city called Thebes. Oedipus, being a tragic hero, was always destined for disaster, but one of the major key parts that contributed to his downfall was his uncontrollable temper. As a child, he was destined, by Apollo, to marry his mother and murder his father. So he ran away from his hometown Corinth in attempt to avoid his destiny, but he unfortunately could not avoid it. He has always been a very angry and irritable person, but the most important parts of his life that determined his success or failure was always interrupted by his temper. Oedipuss temper can interrupt Oedipus s life at very important times. The first example of his anger is when he kills the driver, which ended up being his father. As he explains his story he says, In anger I struck the driver as he tried to crowd me off. (pg 45) This example shows how Oedipus s temper can get out of control and can actually lead to the death of someone. This is significant because this is the part of the play when Oedipus kills King Laius, his father, literally fulfilling the prophecy, which stated that Oedipus was going to murder his father, and marry his mother. He completed one half of the prophecy because he couldn t control his anger. This is important because this shows how Oedipus s temper can overcome his actions and cause him to go out of control. • 32. Desert Places Robert Frost Summary Robert Frost was an American poet who commonly used images of nature in his poetry. The use of nature in poetry is typically used to create a connection between humanity and nature. The use of nature in his poem Desert Places , published in 1936, does exactly this as Frost, through the narrator, vividly describes an open field which is covered with snow, and subsequently the feelings or emotions created within as a response to the observations. The title of the poem itself already alludes to the central theme of loneliness and death, as a desert is commonly a lonely, empty and abandoned place. However, the poem itself compares the narrator s life and mind to that of a desert. Through observation of nature, Frost explores the ability of nature to inspire introspective thoughts of life and death along with self realization. Frost, through the narrator, begins his narrative by mentioning that the snow covers the land and everything contained in that space quickly and without reservation or discrimination. He states, Snow falling and night falling fast, oh, fast (Frost, 1936, line 1). As he continues his narration about the landscape he is viewing and about to embark upon, the reader becomes easily preoccupied with the sense of emptiness and loneliness (Wand, 2013). The speaker mentions the field being almost covered smooth in snow (Frost 1936, line 3) and the reader is made to imagine the blank, baron and lonely state. Frost s description of the dark and quiet landscape is comparable to death and the nature of this inevitable end of life event. This may be Frost s idea of how death approaches and the effects and feelings contained within its victims. The mention of all animals being smothered in their lairs (Front, 1936, line 6) shows that death is indiscriminate and covers everyone and anything in its path. Generally, images of nature are thought to be beautiful, serene, romantic and typically desired for all these reasons. Frost however, creates a different idea and feeling about nature with his description of the surroundings. Critics of Frost s poetry view him as a skeptic who regarded nature as an antagonist (Liebman, 1996). With this criticism in mind, loneliness and a feeling of solitude is ... In the book Night, Eliezer is a young Jewish boy who suffers through the hardships of religious discrimination in the concentration camps during the holocaust. Religionis a stronghold for most people during times of struggle; the story begins with Eliezer believing God was the most important thing in his life, to struggling with the thought of God letting all the suffering happen in Germany. The life of Eliezer Wiesel revolved around family, religion, and love. I believe his loss of faith impacted his identity, family, and morality throughout the narrative. • 38. Gender Roles In Lillie Devereux Blake s Fettered For Life In nineteenth century America, there were strict gender roles and expectations that men and women were expected to conform to. Men were seen as dominant to women; while men were able to work and drink, women were expected to get married, follow orders from her husband, and live a life of limited freedom and personal choice. We see examples of these roles throughout Lillie Devereux Blake s novel, Fettered for Life, as we encounter different women in the text that are oppressed through physical abuse and lack of agency. However, Frank Heywood, the woman, manages to outsmart these rules by cross dressing to be a man. She s the only female in the novel to break free of the slavery of womanhood, and in the process uses her newfound freedom to act as a voice for the oppressed female population. Not only does Frank aid women and their oppression, but she also proves that women can do the work of a man, but are denied opportunities because of their sex. Blake uses Frank s character to demonstrate the ways in which genderroles are socially constructed, and prove that it s possible to break through the implemented social rules. Our first encounter of Frank, in the opening scene, leads us to notice something different about him. • 44. Analysis Of East Of Eden By John Steinbeck Steinbeck s own family and their dreams was a great inspiration for his multi generational novel East of Eden. His maternal grandfather Samuel Hamilton emigrated from Ireland in the 19th century to buy land, build a ranch and raise his family in Salinas Valley. From an online article John Steinbeck s Derry Roots we find out that Samuel Hamilton was born at Ballykelly on 7 October 1830... Samuel emigrated at the age of 17, at the height of the Great Famine, to New York where he married a young Irish girl, Elizabeth Fagan in the summer of 1849. They came to California and set up a ranch in the foothills of the Salinas Valley. When Samuel came to California, all the fertile land was taken. As Steinbeck writes in the first chapter of East of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the book progressed, the focus switched from the Hamiltons to the Trasks. As the title of the book suggests, East of Eden was an allegory to a book of Genesis, namely the story of Cain and Abel. The siblings rivalry for a love of their father transcends through generations. Adam vs. Charles, Aron vs. Cal. Many of critics attacked Steinbeck for having showed all the symbols too obviously and therefore the novel is not convincing. As Warren French points out, The theological disputation is interesting as an exposition of Steinbeck s ideas, but these lack consistency and might be more appropriately discussed in an essay than a novel (156). Owens argues that East of Eden may be a much more subtle and complex construction than we are at first prepared to believe, one deserving of more careful scrutiny than we have yet brought to bear (74). The most memorable character is Aron and Cal s mother, the amoral Cathy/Kate. She represents everything evil. Kate is manipulative and is not afraid to kill anyone who stands in her way. It has been said that Steinbeck s second wife Gwyn was in a way an inspiration for Kate s character. Kate was a contrast to Samuel s character. Steinbeck s grandfather is here portrayed as a wise and kind family man, a dreamer, always willing to help. Samuel Hamilton becomes a force for good, a kind of savior, water witch, grail knight, and non teleological visionary all rolled into one (Owens 66). The East of Eden story circles around the Hebrew word: Timshel , loosely translated by a servant Lee as Thou mayest. It was Samuel, who had a meaningful conversation with Lee, when he realized what the word meant to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 51. Summary Of The Political Allegory In Macbeth William Shakespeare s Macbeth is widely thought to be written in 1606. Three years after the ascension of James VI of Scotland to the English Throne as James I and some months after the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot, although the exact date remains impossible to establish. The turmoil of the era can be attributed to the civil unrest. The narrative acts almost as a instrument to subjugate an unruly citizenship by purging negative emotions such as anger, fear or anxiety. The Jacobean era was defined by its conflict not only between two warring ideologies but by opposing political stances. Unionist and nationalist stood against each other in opposition to the change of power dynamics, religious upheaval caused Englandto be further divided. Shakespeare s use of catharsis acts as a balm providing the proper purgation of negative emotion and therefore supressing real rebellion in James rule. Lauded as the most instructive tragedy in the world Macbeth follows the typical five act structure of the era, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and dГ©nouement. The familiarity of this structure would have clearly reinforced for a contemporary audience that Macbeth would face his inevitable downfall in the final fifth act. His fall from the seat of power echoes the traditional belief in the great chain of being and the divine right of kings. As a political allegory, Macbeth in part serves as a warning to potential despots. As critic Stephen Greenblatt has observed, There is always someone who escapes the murderer s net, someone who poses a threat seeks to redress an injury or simply remembers what it felt like to be free and unafraid. Macbeth is more interested in power than in loyalty. In each subsequent act, we find that Lord Acton s observation: Absolute power corrupts absolutely is true. Macbeth eventually will stop at nothing not even his own beheading, to hold on to power: I will not yield To kiss the ground before young Malcolm s feet, And to be baited with the rabble s curse... I will try the last. The Scottish play is without doubt an allegorical tool, but it can be viewed from many differing perspectives for example while the narrative can be viewed as a political statement it could ...
