Analysis Of The Book Julius Caesar With My Class
Recently I have gotten the chance to read the book play, Julius Caesar with my
class. Although it s hard to understand at times, and it s long and boring. I ve learned a
lot from the play already. Throughout this paper, I m going teach you and explain to you
one of the things I learned. This one thing I learned is going to be the main point of my
paper, with extras around it, that one thing is What is a roman tribune? and Why are
Marullus and Flavius, worried about Caesar? This play is full of twist and turns, by the
end of this paper, you will have an answer to both the questions.
In this play there are several different types of Roman Tribunes, some that hold
higher powers than others. One of the highest tribunes is Brutus, then there s
Cassius, and several more. I named these two mainly because they play a huge part in
this play. They are one of few that actually hold some type of power in the play, and their
close to one of the highest powers there is. This higher power you might ask? Goes by
the name of Julius Caesar.
Since Pompey died, the head person in charge, the king. Since he died, Caesar has
attempted to take his place. Although Caesar is the new highest power, he isn t as high a
he wants to be. While he s trying to get to the top, there are some of his tribunes that
don t want him to be the highest power, because other than them, no one knows how
Caesar really is. Caesar isn t aware o this, he thinks that everything is

Eumenides Views On The Rule Of Law And Civil Process
Is it realistic for justice to effectively perform its function of keeping order without the rule of
law? As someone who lived all his life within in civil democracy, it is fair to say that I have biased,
yet, supportive views regarding need for order, law and institutions as a way to promote the pillar
of modern society: justice. This idea of the rule of law and civil process has not always been apart
our world, as we used to operate under a much more barbaric system, one both lacking a civil and
democratic process. This essay will argue that in Eumenides, the shift in views on the role of the
rule of law and social order on matters of justice is displayed through the character progression
of the furies from ones of vengeance and bloodthirst to ones of compassion, reason and
forgiveness. It is also worth mentioning that the shift from the older conception of justice to a
newer one also reflects the author s political leaning toward a society that embraces the rule of
law as a way to favor a civil legal process in society. Prior to going over the importance of the
Furies and the relevance of their character progression, it is imperative to understand the context in
which they develop from Furies to Eumenides. In a nutshell, Orestes has come to the temple of
Apolloin Delphi to purify himself from the sin of killing his mother, Clytemnestra. After expressing
his concerns, Apollo essentially tells him that he will act as his guardian and protect him, as he

How Boeing Changed the World
After five years under wraps, the future of commercial aviation is about to make its worldwide
debut.
The global spotlight will be shining on The Boeing Co. July 8 (07 08 07) as it unveils its newest
passenger jet in 13 years: the 787 Dreamliner. It hasn t even flown yet and already the 787 is
making aviation history as the world s hottest selling and most technically advanced new
commercial jet ever.
Not since Boeing ushered in the jet age with its 707 in 1954 has there been such hoopla over a
new passenger airplane. For the 787 the company s first all new jet since the 777 was unveiled in
1994 Boeing has rented an entire football field to simulcast the rollout, which will be emceed by
broadcaster Tom Brokaw.

This is a far cry from how Boeing used to make airplanes, says Hamilton.
The first few weeks of final assembly have not been smooth. Some of the jet s major structures
were delivered incomplete and fuselage sections didn t fit together properly. In addition, temporary
fasteners were being used to hold fuselage sections together because of an industry wide shortage of
permanent fasteners.
Boeing officials have acknowledged the problems and characterize them as hiccups in the
production process that are being resolved as soon as they crop up.
Company officials, however, are keeping a watchful eye on their international partners to ensure
the aircraft sections are delivered on time. Any more missteps or delays could end up in a
disastrous domino effect, forcing Boeing to postpone the 787 s first flight. Just last month, Vought
Aircraft, one of Boeing s major partners on the 787, fired a top executive because of production
snafus and delays on fuselage sections.
Mike Bair, head of the 787 program, told reporters recently that the production snafus have been
resolved and are typical for all new airplane programs. He denied a JP Morgan analyst s report
that the 787 production schedule may slip four months, saying the program is still on schedule. We
are where we need to be, he told reporters.
Boeing s bold new manufacturing strategy is a sore point for the company s largest union, whose
contract with Boeing expires in the

Ellen Degeneres Research Paper
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres is a celebrity many of us know. We know that she hosts a television show and
makes people laugh. She looks like she has it all together but, do you really know how she came to
be the Ellen DeGeneres we know?
On January 26, 1958, 58 years ago, DeGeneres was born into the world. She was welcomed by
parents, Betty and Elliot DeGeneres and by brother, Vance. She lived a pretty normal childhood,
spending her days either at school or out on the wild streets of New Orleans. Unfortunately,
DeGeneres parents decided to divorce when she was thirteen. Her calm childhood was now the
complete opposite. DeGeneres, her mother, Betty and Vance all moved to Atlanta Texas. She
finished her schooling in Texas before final deciding to return to New Orleans.
Vance, her older brother is also a comedian. As for Betty, DeGeneres mother, she dated around but

She lost job offers, sponsors and even fans. Her coming out made her the first openly gay actress.
DeGeneres claims this was the hardest thing for her to do and she s more than okay with that.
Now, she has inspired millions of people that it is okay to be who you are. DeGeneres started
her own talk show. It first aired September 8, 2003. The next year in 2004, it was nominated and
won Emmy s. The Ellen Show is still very successful and has been airing for 13 seasons. Ellen
DeGeneres is generous. (No pun intended.) DeGeneres gives to a bunch of charities. Some help
animals, some help people in need and some help schools. She also gives to inspiring people to
help pay for everyday expenses or to help with medical bills. Even though DeGeneres is very
busy, she still has time for a somewhat private life. DeGeneres married Portia de Rossi in 2008.
They are still happily together despite what the tabloids say. They also own dogs and cats. Despite
their chosen pathways, they both love peace and

Swot Analysis Of Grandma s Strengths And Weaknesses
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Strengths
Grandma s Best has many strengths, one of which is supplier diversity. This diversity provides
multiple procurement channels for goods and services. Obtaining a large catalog of suppliers
create scenarios that involve multiple suppliers that compete for Grandma s business. In doing
this Grandma s reduces the overall cost of the product/service. This drives competition between
suppliers, which increases the bottom dollar for the company and ensures that Grandma s is not
over reliant on any one supplier. The relationship that the company has with the brokers is a key
asset, these brokers have the capability of being able to expand on the existing channels of
distribution. The fact that Grandma s Best is financially stable is another positive for the firm.
The company s financial performance and profitability are solid, as production capabilities have
expanded with increased sales creating positive net income. There was an increase in net income
of 112.8% from the previous year, an indication of good financial profitability. Although Grandma s
Best owns a very low market share (.05%), it has seen great compound annual growth for the past
three years of 4.62%, which is better than the average United States confectionery market.
Weaknesses
There are a few weaknesses we identified: no vision or mission statement, underutilized website,
lack of capacity and lack of technology and information systems. According to Ceil Wloczewski of
Cella Consulting, mission, vision and values statements are crucial to communicating the who,
what and why for your organization to corporate management, team members and to the users of
your services. It s not enough to feel passionate about the products and services your organization
offers, you and your entire team also have to consciously understand the framework of what drives
the organization. This is essential in order to effectively communicate those drivers to a diverse
group of people. (http://www.cellaconsulting.com/blog/three things you cant do without mission
vision and values statements/) In today s society social media and a strong online presence can be
key factors in the growth of a company, Grandma s Best is lacking in this area.

Premenopausal Hormone
As a woman ages, well so does her body. Things begin to change on the outside and the inside.
When a woman reaches a certain age she gets to a point in her life where the term premenopausal

menopause. It is frequently marked by various physical signs such as, hot or cold flashes, change in
menstrual cycle and irregular heartbeat (Magnolia Miller).Eleanor is going through something at all

Estrogen, the female hormone as so many people know it promotes the growth and health of the

Cigarette smoke contains toxins and compounds that are suspected to cause reproductive damage
and possibly hormone activity. Cigarette smoking can be the deciding factor in when you start
menopause too. In menopausal women, cigarette smoking raises adrenal hormones such as
cortisol. High cortisol levels create an unstable blood sugar. The ovaries slow down production of
estrogen and progesterone but will continue to produce androgens well into a women s eighties

dreaded hair loss in older women. Cigarette smoking amplifies the effects. There is good news
though, hormone balances can be easily achieved and maintained when you quit

Comparing Marriage In Marie De France s Sir Gawain And The...
The medieval literary genre of romance deals, according to Cooper, with the subject matter
concerning love or chivalry, or both. (10) In Romances love and marriage, two matters often
associated with each other, are treated as two entirely separate things. In Eliduc by Marie de
France and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, marriageis not done out of love, and keeping chivalric
codes and promises is paramount, even if it complicates extramarital affairs. In Marie de France s
lai Eliduc the titular character refrains from sleeping with his paramour because of his binding
contract with his wife. The marriage between Eliduc and GuildelГјec is treated like a contract rather
than a romantic relationship, but Eliduc, being an honourable knight, has to adhere to chivalric
codes and keeps his promise to stay loyal to GuildelГјec. Eliduc repeatedly doubts whether his
affair with Guilliadon is morally sound because of the implications it will have on his marriage.
An example of this occurs between lines 300 and 326. Eliduc realises that he has fallen in love

The setting of these scenes, the bed, has, according to Hahn, nothing to do with heterosexual
passion, but rather with the marriage contract between a woman and husband (224). Because
Gawain and the host s wife are not married, this setting is peculiar. However in the sixth verse of
part three of the poem the lady claims that if she could choose, she would rather be married to
Gawain than to her own husband. It is clear that from the host s wife s perspective, marriage and
love are two separate affairs. By repeatedly attempting to seduce Gawain, the lady challenges his
virtues, especially his courtesy and his chivalry. When Gawain refuses to kiss her, she accuses him
from being uncourteous. However by kissing her, Gawain is breaking his chivalric code and his
loyalty to his

Sparks study, using tools to allow creative minds to blossom is something he suggests.
According to a study published in The Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, by Cory Armes,
M.E suggests hyperactivity may actually help students overcome their attention problems.
Running, jumping and even rolling around in class actually helps an ADHD student
concentrate. Most ADHD students become restless when they are asked to do a task involving
the use of the executive functioning of the brain. Research also shows when students with
ADHD were asked to do a task which involved working with memory and organization, students
that were given permission to move or fidget performed much better than students who were
asked to be still. This study proves the ADHD student s gross motor movements helps them
finish intellectual tasks. In essence if a student with ADHD is allowed to move around and
fidget, they will be more successful in their work. What does this mean to the average student
and teacher? Studies have shown to help an ADHD student succeed, he or she must be allowed
to be hyperactive. How does one control this hyperactive behavior? A wobble chair, an exercise
ball as a seat and small fidget devices such as squishy balls, cubes, and spinners can be used by
ADHD students to keep them in their space and be less of a distraction for others in the class.
Allowances are made for children with wheelchairs along with other disabilities and

African American Women in Early Film Essay
African American Women in Early Film
In early film many African American actresses portrayed roles as mammies, slaves, seductresses,
and maids. These roles suppressed them not allowing them to show their true talents. Although they
had to take on these degrading roles, they still performed with dignity, elegance, grace and style.
They paved the way for many actresses to follow both blacks and whites. These women showed the
film industry that they were more than slaves, mammies, and maids. These beautiful actresses
showed the film industry that they are able to hold lead parts and even carry the whole cast if need

was a limited black land and home ownership right. Though she won the suite she still was

Teenage Pregnancy
The Effects of Teenage Pregnancy
Pregnancy is beautiful; however, for a teenager it can be a philosophical event with long term
implications. Wall Wieler stated that, Teenage pregnancy is having at least one pregnancy between
the ages of 14 and 19 (inclusive) (4). Such a situation for teenagers comes with many obstacles.
Adolescence would lose the opportunity to fully enjoy their teen years. This is a once in a lifetime
experience, which would be cut short because of engaging in adult activities. There is also the
possibility of frustration, depression and confusion because the situation might be too much to
handle. In most cases, teen pregnancy will have a negative effect on the pregnant teen because it
will force them to be fully committed to the concerns and needs of the child while neglecting their
own.
In the same fashion, teen mothers would face the challenge of changing their life style to
accompany a child. Some teenagers will miss out on their education; this could mean not going
to school or potentially dropping out of school permanently to take care of their baby. According
to Huffman, Only 32 percent of teen mothers have graduated from high school that is, have
received a regular high school diploma by age 30, compared with over 84 percent of women who
delay motherhood. This figure is not surprising; the presence of a young child makes it very
difficult for teen mothers to continue their education (56). When a child drops out of school they
are prone to

Essay The Matthew Shepard Event
The Matthew Shepard Event
The human body is an object in which one lives and the medium through which one experiences
oneself and the world. The human body vests claims on ideology and space; and thus participates
as the site on which conflicts about belief systems and territory contest violently. Gay bodies
become entangled in violence when they enter into arenas that combat certain ideas. Gay bashing
illustrates incidences all in which bodies experience physical injury. In modern U.S. communities
various militant conservatives individually target homosexuals in gay bashing. Though few
conservative political groups explicitly avow targeting gays for physical violence, their members
individually carry out anti gay brutality. Mathew ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ironically, the word panic originates from the Greek god Pan, who was noted for causing terror.
Gay panic implies that causing terror in violence is due to forgivable bouts of misjudgment. The
defense s language suggests a lack of both premeditation and cognitive participation brought about
by the unexpected fright. Sociologists use panic to refer to irrational group behaviors, such as those
arising from riot mentality. This statute barrows language from social science for the purpose of
linking gay bashing to an academically accepted explanation for seemingly illogical group behavior.
Defense attornies often argue that the victim s sexual advancement on the defendants who are
already extrememly insecure about their own heterosexual orientation gave their precarious sanity
just enough of a nudge to tip over and hence produce irrational violent behavior. The defense also
assumes that homosexuality is such a terror as to uproot even something so supposedly stable as
heterosexuality. If gay bashing is a symptom of a mental disease then the defendents must be
suffering patients instead of knowing criminals. By pathologizing gay bashing, the medical and
social jargon legitimizes it through institutional recognition.
To facilitate exploring a specific anti gay defense, I locate this statute within its homophobic

The Resilience Of Energy Supply Chain

In the era of globalisation supply chains are getting more lengthy and complex hence they are now
more vulnerable to disruptions. The resilience of energy supply chain by Luca Urciuoli, Sangeeta

As suggested by the article to keep reserve stocks for up to 90 days of supply. For example, in Baji
a major oil refinery was set on fire by ISIS forces who were controlling this refinery in the past.
This oil refinery was one o the major oil production companies in the country. In such cases
small safety stocks will finish in a few days, so only keeping reserve stocks may not be the
solution . World s 60 percent oil reserves are in middle east where these types of incidents occur
(Critchlow, 2015).Deciding the perfect amount of safety stock is very critical and depends on
various factors like company sales ,forecasts and transportation risks.
In case of natural disaster or a major disruptions various strategies can be used to prevent loses.
As the article suggests alternate product design can be used in case of disruption ,this approach is
practical and was used by many companies in the past. For instance, In March,2000 after a major
electronic company caught fire in Mexico both Nokia and Ericson were facing component shortage
. Instead of waiting for the product Nokia changed the product design and sourced different
component from other suppliers while Ericson on the other hand lost millions because of this

perfect star shapes. (3) worked well in particular. The reemergence of routine worked well when

of the guilt and conflict that she has gone through without Winnie. Some inner dialogue within the

Overcoming Esteem And Self-Confidence
Overcoming fear is one of the greatest challenges that you will face as you learn how to improve
your self esteem and self confidence.
Imagine that you lived in the 17th century when there were no airplanes and parachutes. Imagine
that you lived happily with your family at the top of the mountain until you ran out of food and
water. You can see all the water and the food that you need to help your family survive from the
top of the mountain. However, to reach the water and food you need to overcome your fear and
jump from the mountain top to the ground. You know that when you jump you will dive into the
river beneath the mountain and not suffer physical injury. You also know that it will change
your life to jump because you will be able to gather all the food and water that your family needs,
but you need to overcome the fear and doubt that is holding you back. You also need to overcome
questions triggered by fear on your mind and make you anxious, what if I hit the rock , What if I

This was achieved through cunning and intelligent choices as to what was filmed and what was cut
out. He had also employed a number of other techniques such as camera angles, shot composition,
editing and intentional use of music to accompany the visuals. Through these techniques Spurlock
has effectively positioned the audience to accept his views on America s aforementioned obesity
epidemic. Spurlock has positioned the audience to accept a somewhat version of the truth as not
all sides of the story are given a voice.
The way in which Spurlock presents himself to the audience has also deliberately been altered to
position the audience to coincide with the attitudes he s presenting throughout the documentary.
Spurlock intentionally wore relaxed clothing and spoke directly to the audience in order to
position the audience to feel comfortable accepting Spurlock s attitudes towards America s obesity
crisis. (INCLUDE FOOTAGE HERE) To further position and help the audience connect with
Spulock, he has introduced them to his fiancГ© who s a vegan chef which will be in juxtaposition
to the unhealthy food served by most fast food restaurants. These inclusions have positioned the
audience to feel close and trusting of Spurlock so that his opinions could be accepted.
The use of irony during this documentary has been used because if the audience finds something
humorous and therefore having a positive reaction, they are more likely to accept what is being

Becoming familiar with these men proved to be an asset in Eisenhower s military career. Before
the entrance of America into World War II, he found himself promoted to the rank of brigadier
general.
After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, General George C. Marshall called him to Washington for a
war plans assignment. Eisenhower impressed both the general as well as The President (Theodore
Roosevelt) with his well thought out plan to focus on weakening Germany before assaulting the
Japanese. Because of this, he was placed in command of the Allied Forces landing in North Africa
in November 1942. On D Day, 1944, he was Supreme Commander of the troops invading France.
After heading many decisive victories for the U.S., Eisenhower accepted Germany s surrender on
May 7, 1945. He returned home a national hero.
Eisenhower s Term in Office (1952 1960)
After the war, he became President of Columbia University, then left to assume the first position of
supreme commander over the new NATO forces being assembled in 1951. In 1952, Eisenhower
resigned from the army to campaign in the presidential election that year. Both major parties
wanted him to represent them in the presidential race, but in the end, Eisenhower ran for president
as a Republican, favoring their conservative values. His prestige as commanding general of the
victorious forces in Europe during World War II, no doubt, helped him into office. Becoming the

20th Century American Public Schools Essay
Teaching Origins in 20th Century American Public Schools
Introduction
The debate over the origins of the earth and of life has captivated and divided America since the
late 19th Century. Evolutionists and creationists have battled in courtrooms , churches , academia ,
and public schools over the course of the 20th century and continue fighting, or attempting to make
peace over, this culture war today. The debate has changed between the time of the Scopes Trial and
the present in several important ways. First, creationists have developed many more diverse
arguments, and employ not only biblical and moralistic arguments, but scientific evidence, logical
arguments, and political rhetoric to counter evolutionary theory. Second, ... Show more content on

Evolutionary theory has accrued evidence from diverse scientific fields and is now championed as
the centerpiece of biology. Creationism has branched out to include scientific, moralistic, and
probabilistic arguments, and its alliance with fundamentalist Christianity has helped it retain
political power. Toumey asserts that without the churches, academies, colleges, lobbies, rallies,
broadcasts, and mailing lists of the New Religious Right, creationism would be an obscure oddity;
with its Religious Right sponsors, however, it becomes a popular sensation that generates difficult
public controversy about science education.
Evolutionists have largely tried to control curricula at the level of national and state standards, and
view the inclusion of creation models in public schools as a central part of the larger problem of
the poor quality of science education in American schools. Creationists have typically worked on
the local and state level, appealing to first amendment freedoms of religious practice and expression
and attacking the validity of evolutionary theory.
Historical Overview
Since public education in the US has historically been controlled at the local and state level, the
content of and emphasis placed on origins education has varied over time and by locality due to
pressures from creationist and

The Kingdom of Heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven
The plot of this movie can be very well defined as a romantic quest for what is right and just in
the world at that time. The film starts off in the early 12th century with a blacksmith called
Balian of Ibelin (who is actually an artificier, or military engineer) that has just lost his wife to
suicide and is given the chance to go to the Holy Land to seek forgiveness for her sin by his long
lost father Godfrey of Ibelin. This becomes his secondary goal upon arriving in Jerusalem because
soon after the start of their journey, Balian s father dies and passes on his legacy to Balian making
him the new Baron of Ibelin. With the title comes the duty of defending Jerusalem in the name of
the king and at the same time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, it is said that when Guy failed to attack the Muslims in 1183, Baldwin went into a fit of
anger because he wanted them all dead. The movie makes it seem as though Baldwin wanted to
keep peace between the two groups but that was not true because really, he could not stand the
Muslims and would do almost anything to keep the Holy Land out of their hands.
When it comes to Saladin, the film makes it seem as though he was a man of tolerance and respect
when in reality, he took pleasure in watching the decapitation of hundreds of christen soldiers
and civilians alike. Through out his time as ruler of the Muslims, Saladin Preached jihad(or holy
war) on the Christians and made it very clear that his goal was to take Jerusalem by force and
kill all of the people living behind the walls and on the surrounding lands. Saladin as he is
portrayed in the film is a man who chooses to work together with the Christians to try to find a
reasonable balance between groups and holds them in high regard to himself.6 This is very far
from any kind of truth at all.
I believe that this was such a big deal for groups when the movie came out because the film made it
seem as though both men wanted a somewhat peaceful solution to obtaining what they desired
when in fact, that was the last thing they wanted. Both men were very respectable from what I can

1916 Killing Fields Analysis
Adjectives that would describe the documentary, 1916 Killing Fields, would be heart breaking, eye
opening, raw, gruesome, powerful, insightful, and heroic. So many brave men went into this war
thinking they would be home shortly once after they defended their homeland. Unfortunately, no
one predicted the way this war would ve gone. This documentary recalling the events that took
place during World War I showed the true hardships and brutality behind a world war. Watching
the documentary, the various men interviewed all gave insight that was unique as well as moving.
One man talked about organizing the troops and marching in the town parade before being
deployed, everyone was excited. (Jones 1998). Upon being sent, there were 70 million men
enlisted to fight in World War I. Britain was the only country to have solely volunteers, no one had
to be drafted. Watching these men stand next to one another preparing themselves for something so
horrific was incredibly hard. Even the men who were being interviewed were having a hard time
recounting the events which shows just how terribly they suffered. Being in those bunkers in the
ground, a soldierrecounted a memory, everyone was singing We Will Meet Again in the Homeland.
(Jones 1998) Seeing the circumstances and hardships of war showed the price those soldiers paid to
protect their homeland. When the documentary switched to the start of the battle, you could sense
the change in tone. The videos were harsh and unforgiving

the separation of days within the majority of the school year having proven optimal, the timein

Deliquency And Juvenile Delinquency
Introduction
An estimated 70% of juveniles that are in the juvenile system have an elementary academic
achievement level, and have learning disabilities. [1]. Poor school performance, skipping school,
and dropping out at a young age are all connected to delinquency. There was an increase in the rates
of juvenile delinquency after dropping out from school [2]. Juveniles who go to school
consistently and have a strong academic performance, ideally go on to college and have a
successful career and bright future [1]. There seems to be a connection between academic
performance and delinquency. It seems that young people with a lower academic performance are
more delinquent than young people with a higher academic performance [3,4].

What is linking academic performance and delinquency together, and what kind of association do
they have with each other, is it negative or positive?
Studies suggest that improving educational performance and behavior will more than likely result
in positive outcomes. It also suggests that coming up with innovative educational strategies are the
most effective solution to improve delinquency and academic performance [2]. Educational
programs intended to address delinquency and poor academic performance that teaches self control
and social class, will probably be more successful in improving education outcomes for juvenile
delinquents [2][7]. The purpose of this study is to find the link between academic performance and
delinquency, and find what kind of association they have with each other.
Methodology The participants for this study will include 200 juvenile delinquents that will be
recruited from juvenile detention centers in New York, through a process of stratified sampling.
Stratified sampling allows us to select participants from different areas of New York. To be
eligible for this study, participants have to meet these requirements, 1) ages 14 17; 2) In juvenile
detention; 3) able to speak and read in English. Participants were excluded from the study if they

A Brief Note On The Independent Contractors Organizations

ACM 395 (Pricing)
Professor Adina Peyton
Independent Contractors Introduction Independent contractors are hired and used for various
reasons by companies. Probably one of the main reason businesses hire independent contractors is
that it will save the company money in the long run. Independent contractors are not employees of
the company for which they are hired. They are ultimately hired to perform a service or provide a
good for a fee. The definition of a contractor,

A good independent contractor should have good networking skills. Most independent contractors
use subcontractors to complete the job. By having good networking skills, independent
contractors are able to hire subcontractors that are able to come in and help the project progress
at a much faster pace and ultimately finish the job on time. Most would say reliability is the most
important trait of all. When companies hire independent contractors they hope that the contractors
is very reliable. Reliable in the sense that they are able to meet all the requirement and deadlines
outlined in the contract. If companies have concerns about the reliability of an independent
contractor, they should move on to another contractor because in the long haul the job will not
get accomplished which will lead to headaches in the future. Competitive pricing is also
important when selecting a contractor. Hiring a contractor because of price is not always the
best practice. Deciding which price to go with can be a challenging task when it comes to hiring a
contractor. According to Murphy (2009), the sellers wants to make as much money as possible
and the buyer wants to save as much as possible . When companies receive quotes from contractors
that are extremely low or high those could be red flags. Extremely low could mean that the

caused South Africa s rehabilitation and self determination to be an obstructed undertaking.
Unaddressed security problems of belligerent crimes and HIV/AIDS are a direct cause of the
failure to manage the aforementioned legacy (Vercillo n.p.). Back in 1947, the growing
desegregation which was caused by the liberation of India and Pakistan, helped spread the
evidential racial equality. The Afrikaaner Nationalists of South Africa, led by Dr. Malan, believed

This could be improved by utilizing an inert atmosphere of solely nitrogen. Melting the compound
resulted in an intensely dark purple liquid. This is a result of the resonance stabilized radical being
formed by the homolysis of the carbon to carbon bond validating the photochromic properties. The
colour change further substantiates that the desired product was produced despite the inaccuracies
in melting point values. Homolytic cleavage of the dimer prepared by solvation with toluene results
in a deep purple solution confirming the formation of the resonance stabilized radical.
After placing in darkness the colorless solution resulted by reformation of the radical intermediates
to a new thermodynamic product via C N bond at room temperature. UV Vis was conducted on the
solution before and after the irradiation with sunlight: UVtoluene 554.92nm, A=0.12 before
irradiation and A=1.05 after. The peak at 554.92nm corresponds to yellow/green light and its
complementary colour is red/violet. This validates the solutions violet color. The increased
absorbance was accounted for an increase in the radical component. The radical was formed when
exposed to light, which was visually apparent with the purple coloration and proved the
thermodynamic dimer was also photochromic. When dimer 4 is exposed to light photons collide
with the molecule and impart energy upon them. This energy is significant enough to break the
bond between the two rings and results

Informative Speech On The Theory Of Premillennialism
Why The theory of Premillennialism is false teaching
By Hunter Strohl
Specific Speech Goal: I want to show and persuade my audience to look at the faults in the Theory
of Premillennialism.
Proposition: I believe that the theory of Premillennialism is wrong.
Introduction: Good afternoon, today I want to show and encourage you to take a second look at the
theory of Premillennialism.
Before we start tearing up the theory of Premillennialism let s look at the main points of this
theory. The theory of Premillennialism is made up of 11 key points. (Rev.20) Jesuscame to
establish an Earthly kingdom, but was rejected and crucified. The Church was an afterthought of
God. There will be a rapture and an Antichrist. Christ will win the battle of Armageddon, and he
will reign for 1,000 years. The temple will be rebuilt and the Jews will return to animal sacrifices.
Satan will be freed after 1,000 years to fight one last battle. Finally judgement will take place.
This theory is very complex to get a grasp on understanding these points B. This book is full of
imagery and figurative language that the recipients understood the meaning of.
So let s apply this concept and breakdown a couple of the points of this theory.
We will examine the flaws in this belief as well.
Thesis: The man made theory of Premillennialism is incorrect because it argues for Christ to have
an earthly kingdom, a return to Old Testamentconcepts, and does not take into part that Revelation

I feel learning the phonics of letters through the rhythms of music truly helped me as I began to sit
down with my first readers.
As I began applying what I was learning in the songs to some basic basal readers like Dick and
Jane I was able to find patterns between the phonics in the songs and the words on the page. We
had books that were themed each week with certain phonic sounds. The sound was then repeated
throughout the book but in different words. We were able to take these books home and practice
with our parents. I think that practice and repetition are key in continuing to recognize letters with
their phonic sounds. I feel these books served the purpose of achieving good reading skills for me
as a child, and continue to be helpful to children today as they learn to read.
There are two other techniques that my teacher used to help teach us how to read. One I
consider to be a good strategy and the other I am not too fond of. The first approach was using a
tape recorder and head sets. We would sit down with a book and follow along with our finger as a
voice was reading the book to us in our ear. I think this particular approach works because it
releases the anxiety and stress of having to pick apart the words on a page in order to learn them.
By following along they are able to develop listening skills and hear the

their harsh, nomadic lifestyle, the Bedouin instead evolved a chivalric code, which, seeing as they
were extremely communal, stressed the importance of protecting and avenging the tribe (Reading
3, page 15). However, this chivalric code, known as Muruwah, only encouraged bravery and
selflessness within the context of the tribe, paying no attention to universal human rights (Reading
3, page 16). As such, there were great acts of violence committed between various tribes, who
following their own special brands of Muruwah, were obligated to defend any actions of their tribal
brethren. The prophet Muhammad, a Bedouin himself, saw that the barbarity of the tribes was not
conducive to prosperity in Arabia. In his final sermon at mount Arafat in Mecca, prophet
Muhammad relayed to listeners his message, at one point saying, every Muslim is a brother to
every Muslims and Muslims constitute one brotherhood (Reading 2, page 11). The concept of
brotherhood spoke clearly to the Bedouin, as it was inline with their cultural traditions. Because the
prophet was one of them and his message of stressing community related to them, the Bedouin
bought into the monotheistic religion of Islam. Moreover, because members of the same tribe could
not fight amongst each other, Bedouins who converted to Islam brought about peace, ending the
senseless violence between each

The American General Election Cycle
With the American general election cycle in full swing, one of the fundamental issues in play is
the role of government. What is the place of Government? What should elected officials be
doing? Do they simply protect personal liberties, or do they also establish safeguards and
guidelines for various economic activities? Ask any two people and you ll likely receive two
different answers, so nuanced and complex is the issue. Policy can give incentives to business to
act a certain way both domestically and abroad. Tax incentives in one region may cause a corporate
to relocate (this happened to one of my favorite guitar manufacturers recently, as they moved
production from Canada to California!). A central bank s tweak in monetary policy to shift the cost
of lending could ultimately move interest rates for consumers looking to take out mortgages or
automobile loans. As we witnessed in 2008, the housing market is of international concern and a
large central bank wields enormous power. While we like to call the Western economy a free
market, there exists a multitude of government policies that impact the freedoms and movements of
the economy, for better or for worse. I will present two specific examples of government economic
intervention for your consideration, one that has helps economic activity and another that hurts it.
In the early 20th century, a heated Presidential race was underway between Taft, Wilson, and
Roosevelt. An important issue in this particular election was

Cyber Espionage
ABSTRACT
The aim of this report is to examine the topic of cyber espionage. Incidents and threats of
espionage committed using software tools have become frequent headlines in news stories in
recent years, thus the existence of cyber espionage is undeniable. This report begins with an
introduction of the topic, followed by a literature review. Moving on, two case studies specifically
involving the use of Trojans and sniffers to commit espionage will be discussed. The scope of these
case studies includes the attack mechanisms used and the countermeasures that could plausibly be
adopted, as well as a discussion of each case. 1.0 INTRODUCTION Cyber espionage is the use of
software tools to obtain secret or private information ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An attacker can run malicious commands on an infected system to delete important files from the
victim system, or format the entire disk. Attackers can also infect systems with a Trojan and use it
to attack another pre defined third party system.
Some Trojans have inbuilt keylogging capabilities to record keystrokes made by the victim on the
infected system. These Trojans can be configured to automatically covertly email the log file
containing the recorded keystrokes to a pre defined email address. It is further possible to
configure an autodestruct feature in the Trojan, so that it automatically gets destroyed at a pre
specified date, and hence leaves few traces behind.
Such Trojans are capable of:
Stealing the contents of sensitive emails and documents
Recording passwords, credit card numbers, account information etc.
Stealing software programming code
2.3.2 Sniffers
Sniffers are recording softwares that record and store data packets being sent across a network.
Typically, sniffers can be used to capture, interpret and store data packets being sent across the
network. These captured data packets can be studied and analyzed to understand solve network
problems and keep track of network traffic. In espionage, sniffers are used to capture sensitive data
being sent across the target network. Common espionage threats associated with sniffers include:
Passwords, bank account

Tenement House Law Research Paper
Tenement houses are mainly for people that are/were poor. They do not exist in America. They
do exist in India and overpopulated and poor countries. The purpose of these was to solve the
problems of the homeless. It solved the problem but the conditions were way too harsh for them.
Conditions in these were terrible, Most people had no lights or any air. They were overcrowded.
They were very dirty. Laws were eventually made to improve the conditions in these tenement
houses. They made changes because people were dying from terrible conditions. One law that
improved conditions was the Tenement HouseAct of 1867, which required a toilet for every 20
people. The Tenement House Law outlawed the building of any more tenements on a 25 foot lot.

Adoption Of The United States Essay
Many children around the world don t have a mother or father, or even a home. There are at least
140,000 orphans across the globe. About ten percent of all children are found working as child
laborers. One out of every eleven kids under the age of five is not in elementary school, and almost
three million children die every year from a lack of nutrition. The best way to get these children out
of these situations is to change their lives through adoption, donation, or fostering. Adoption in
different countries can be drastically different from each other. If you re deciding to adopt from
Africa, there are certain conditions you must follow. If you want to adopt from Africa, you have
to be approved by the U.S. government. Before adopting in Ghana, you must love there for at
least three months. By doing this, the prospective parents can see what life is like in Ghana, and
will help them to better understand their future child. A waiver may be placed by the parents
and passed by the court if the child s best interest is met through this. You must be at least twenty
one years older than the child you wish to adopt, and at least twenty five years old. Bottom line
is, you re best bet is to be older in order to adopt from Africa. When couples are searching for their
future child, they must be a heterosexual couple. You can not adopt from Ghana if you are a
homosexual couple. Single people may adopt from Ghana also, but only if they are a Ghana citizen.
Single males can not

The main characteristic to classify crystal or glass is the content of lend in the glass. Lead that
in crystal make its more easily cut and engraved are the presence of the lead soften the glass in
crystal. The lead also increases the weight of the crystal glass and light will diffract though the
glass. For the glass stemware has the lighter weight than crystal glass and light will not diffract
though the glass. Besides, lead has tendency to filter out the crystal from the lead glassware.
Nowadays, crystal glass is unleaded because its use barium carbonate and zinc and titanium
oxides to displace the lead oxide. Those glasses are similar properties as lead crystal such as
temperature control. Unleaded glass has lighter weight but its has the similar characteristic of
refractive index with lead crystal. The highest quality crystal glass can provide a better wine
testing experience than glassware but the higher cost of the glass are not attract customer to
purchase it. Crystal glass is very fragile so customer may use higher cost to replace the crystal
glass than normal

The Open Boat Literary Analysis
How often do we read books? Not textbooks, but books that provide us with an insight into the
world? It seems for many of us reading a book occurred the last time as far back as high school.
While many people rarely or never open books, others read often or always. MAIN
ARGUMENT: The value of literature lies in its relevance to contemporary society because books
provide us with detailed accounts of human experiences and help understand other people, their
emotions and desires. This claim can be well supported with the evidence from two well known
literary works: Stephen Crane s The Open Boat and Edgar Allan Poe s The Purloined Letter.
Literature is highly relevant to the contemporary society because it provides readers with the
preview of human experiences and helps learn about life. One great... Show more content on

Published back in 1897 in Scribner s Magazine, the story documents the shipwrecking experience
of one correspondent when the narrator and three other men end up in a dinghy in the middle of
nowhere. The short story is based on true events. Crane, himself a war correspondent,
experienced a shipwreck while on his way to Cuba to cover the insurrection of Cubans against
the Spanish crown. The short story, written with a great deal of naturalism, describes how Crane
and three other men in the ten foot dinghy fought for their lives with the sea and its multiple
dangers. Here one will learn how four men the narrator, Captain, the cook, and Billy the oiler
were surviving in the boat, how they finally challenged the frightening power of the sea, and
reach land (except for Billy). The experience of the dead Billy is another insight into human
experience and lack/fate. Specifically, the death of the oiler, became a great surprise for everyone
else because out of the four people trapped in

Thesis About Rohingya
Who are the Rohingya? Described as the world s most persecuted people, 1.1 million Rohingya
people live in Myanmar. They live predominately in Rakhine state, where they have co existed
uneasily alongside Buddhists for decades. Rohingya people say they are descendants of Muslims,
perhaps Persian and Arab traders, who came to Myanmar generations ago. Unlike the Buddhist
community, they speak a language similar to the Bengali dialect of Chittagong in Bangladesh. The
Rohingya are reviled by many in Myanmar as illegal immigrants and they suffer from systematic
discrimination. The Myanmar government treats them as stateless people, denying them
citizenship. Stringent restrictions have been placed on Rohingya people s freedom of movement,

On 4 September, the UN said its aid agencies had been blocked from supplying life saving
supplies such as food, water and medicine to thousands of civilians in northern Rakhine state.
What s the background to the story? For decades ethnic tensions have simmered in Rakhine state,
with frequent outbreaks of violence. In October 2016 nine police officers were killed by armed
men, believed by officials to be Muslims. Amid the ensuing violence, 87,000 Rohingya Muslims
fled to Bangladesh and government troops expanded their presence in Rakhine state. At the time, a
senior UN official alleged that the Myanmar government was seeking to rid the country of its
Muslim minority an accusation that has been made repeatedly by human rights groups. The
government denies the charge. In August, Myanmar further increased the number of troops in
Rakhine, after seven Buddhists were found hacked to death. The buildup of troops prompted
warnings of a fresh wave of violence. The most recent violence is seen as a major escalation not
only because of the scale, but because of the involvement of the new Rohingya militant group, the
Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army. It says the attacks on government forces were an act of

Increasing Price Discrimination In The Workplace
Individuals encounter price discriminations on an almost daily basis, whether realizing it or not.
Considering that many fast food chains off discounts to seniors, one could possibly pay the
regular price and not even think of the possibility of a discount. Price discrimination can be
described as identical services or goods being sold at different prices by one single provider
(Sexton, 2013). Therefore, each time a person shops at Goodwill, he or she has the opportunity of a
reduced costproviding stipulations are met such as being a student, senior, or military. In order to
meet the qualification of pricediscrimination, three points are provided. First, the organization
must provide a good or service that is not offered by other organizations, establishing a monopoly.
Secondly, the elasticities of demand have to be prevalent, and, and thirdly, stipulations have to be
enforced in order to prevent reselling of the product or service for a profit.
Considering the price differences encountered by parking garages, price discrimination can be
established by examining the price differences between long term parking and short term parking.
Parking garages often provide a menu of price differences for different frames of time, such as two
hours, four hours, eight hours, or even overnight (Lin Wang, 2015). ... Show more content on

price in order to utilize the space at a later date when prices were increased. Therefore, the current
price being charged is what one would pay upon entering the

  • 2. Analysis Of The Book Julius Caesar With My Class Recently I have gotten the chance to read the book play, Julius Caesar with my class. Although it s hard to understand at times, and it s long and boring. I ve learned a lot from the play already. Throughout this paper, I m going teach you and explain to you one of the things I learned. This one thing I learned is going to be the main point of my paper, with extras around it, that one thing is What is a roman tribune? and Why are Marullus and Flavius, worried about Caesar? This play is full of twist and turns, by the end of this paper, you will have an answer to both the questions. In this play there are several different types of Roman Tribunes, some that hold higher powers than others. One of the highest tribunes is Brutus, then there s Cassius, and several more. I named these two mainly because they play a huge part in this play. They are one of few that actually hold some type of power in the play, and their close to one of the highest powers there is. This higher power you might ask? Goes by the name of Julius Caesar. Since Pompey died, the head person in charge, the king. Since he died, Caesar has attempted to take his place. Although Caesar is the new highest power, he isn t as high a he wants to be. While he s trying to get to the top, there are some of his tribunes that don t want him to be the highest power, because other than them, no one knows how Caesar really is. Caesar isn t aware o this, he thinks that everything is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Eumenides Views On The Rule Of Law And Civil Process Is it realistic for justice to effectively perform its function of keeping order without the rule of law? As someone who lived all his life within in civil democracy, it is fair to say that I have biased, yet, supportive views regarding need for order, law and institutions as a way to promote the pillar of modern society: justice. This idea of the rule of law and civil process has not always been apart our world, as we used to operate under a much more barbaric system, one both lacking a civil and democratic process. This essay will argue that in Eumenides, the shift in views on the role of the rule of law and social order on matters of justice is displayed through the character progression of the furies from ones of vengeance and bloodthirst to ones of compassion, reason and forgiveness. It is also worth mentioning that the shift from the older conception of justice to a newer one also reflects the author s political leaning toward a society that embraces the rule of law as a way to favor a civil legal process in society. Prior to going over the importance of the Furies and the relevance of their character progression, it is imperative to understand the context in which they develop from Furies to Eumenides. In a nutshell, Orestes has come to the temple of Apolloin Delphi to purify himself from the sin of killing his mother, Clytemnestra. After expressing his concerns, Apollo essentially tells him that he will act as his guardian and protect him, as he requested ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Boeing Changed the World After five years under wraps, the future of commercial aviation is about to make its worldwide debut. The global spotlight will be shining on The Boeing Co. July 8 (07 08 07) as it unveils its newest passenger jet in 13 years: the 787 Dreamliner. It hasn t even flown yet and already the 787 is making aviation history as the world s hottest selling and most technically advanced new commercial jet ever. Not since Boeing ushered in the jet age with its 707 in 1954 has there been such hoopla over a new passenger airplane. For the 787 the company s first all new jet since the 777 was unveiled in 1994 Boeing has rented an entire football field to simulcast the rollout, which will be emceed by broadcaster Tom Brokaw. While the Dreamliner ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a far cry from how Boeing used to make airplanes, says Hamilton. The first few weeks of final assembly have not been smooth. Some of the jet s major structures were delivered incomplete and fuselage sections didn t fit together properly. In addition, temporary fasteners were being used to hold fuselage sections together because of an industry wide shortage of permanent fasteners. Boeing officials have acknowledged the problems and characterize them as hiccups in the production process that are being resolved as soon as they crop up. Company officials, however, are keeping a watchful eye on their international partners to ensure the aircraft sections are delivered on time. Any more missteps or delays could end up in a disastrous domino effect, forcing Boeing to postpone the 787 s first flight. Just last month, Vought Aircraft, one of Boeing s major partners on the 787, fired a top executive because of production snafus and delays on fuselage sections. Mike Bair, head of the 787 program, told reporters recently that the production snafus have been resolved and are typical for all new airplane programs. He denied a JP Morgan analyst s report that the 787 production schedule may slip four months, saying the program is still on schedule. We are where we need to be, he told reporters. Boeing s bold new manufacturing strategy is a sore point for the company s largest union, whose contract with Boeing expires in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Swot Analysis Of Grandma s Strengths And Weaknesses STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES Strengths Grandma s Best has many strengths, one of which is supplier diversity. This diversity provides multiple procurement channels for goods and services. Obtaining a large catalog of suppliers create scenarios that involve multiple suppliers that compete for Grandma s business. In doing this Grandma s reduces the overall cost of the product/service. This drives competition between suppliers, which increases the bottom dollar for the company and ensures that Grandma s is not over reliant on any one supplier. The relationship that the company has with the brokers is a key asset, these brokers have the capability of being able to expand on the existing channels of distribution. The fact that Grandma s Best is financially stable is another positive for the firm. The company s financial performance and profitability are solid, as production capabilities have expanded with increased sales creating positive net income. There was an increase in net income of 112.8% from the previous year, an indication of good financial profitability. Although Grandma s Best owns a very low market share (.05%), it has seen great compound annual growth for the past three years of 4.62%, which is better than the average United States confectionery market. Weaknesses There are a few weaknesses we identified: no vision or mission statement, underutilized website, lack of capacity and lack of technology and information systems. According to Ceil Wloczewski of Cella Consulting, mission, vision and values statements are crucial to communicating the who, what and why for your organization to corporate management, team members and to the users of your services. It s not enough to feel passionate about the products and services your organization offers, you and your entire team also have to consciously understand the framework of what drives the organization. This is essential in order to effectively communicate those drivers to a diverse group of people. (http://www.cellaconsulting.com/blog/three things you cant do without mission vision and values statements/) In today s society social media and a strong online presence can be key factors in the growth of a company, Grandma s Best is lacking in this area. ... • 8. Comparing Marriage In Marie De France s Sir Gawain And The... The medieval literary genre of romance deals, according to Cooper, with the subject matter concerning love or chivalry, or both. (10) In Romances love and marriage, two matters often associated with each other, are treated as two entirely separate things. In Eliduc by Marie de France and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, marriageis not done out of love, and keeping chivalric codes and promises is paramount, even if it complicates extramarital affairs. In Marie de France s lai Eliduc the titular character refrains from sleeping with his paramour because of his binding contract with his wife. The marriage between Eliduc and GuildelГјec is treated like a contract rather than a romantic relationship, but Eliduc, being an honourable knight, has to adhere to chivalric codes and keeps his promise to stay loyal to GuildelГјec. The setting of these scenes, the bed, has, according to Hahn, nothing to do with heterosexual passion, but rather with the marriage contract between a woman and husband (224). Because Gawain and the host s wife are not married, this setting is peculiar. However in the sixth verse of part three of the poem the lady claims that if she could choose, she would rather be married to Gawain than to her own husband. It is clear that from the host s wife s perspective, marriage and love are two separate affairs. By repeatedly attempting to seduce Gawain, the lady challenges his virtues, especially his courtesy and his chivalry. When Gawain refuses to kiss her, she accuses him from being uncourteous. According to a study published in The Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, by Cory Armes, M.E suggests hyperactivity may actually help students overcome their attention problems. Running, jumping and even rolling around in class actually helps an ADHD student concentrate. Most ADHD students become restless when they are asked to do a task involving the use of the executive functioning of the brain. Research also shows when students with ADHD were asked to do a task which involved working with memory and organization, students that were given permission to move or fidget performed much better than students who were asked to be still. This study proves the ADHD student s gross motor movements helps them finish intellectual tasks. In essence if a student with ADHD is allowed to move around and fidget, they will be more successful in their work. What does this mean to the average student and teacher? Studies have shown to help an ADHD student succeed, he or she must be allowed to be hyperactive. How does one control this hyperactive behavior? • 12. Teenage Pregnancy The Effects of Teenage Pregnancy Pregnancy is beautiful; however, for a teenager it can be a philosophical event with long term implications. Wall Wieler stated that, Teenage pregnancy is having at least one pregnancy between the ages of 14 and 19 (inclusive) (4). Such a situation for teenagers comes with many obstacles. Adolescence would lose the opportunity to fully enjoy their teen years. This is a once in a lifetime experience, which would be cut short because of engaging in adult activities. There is also the possibility of frustration, depression and confusion because the situation might be too much to handle. In most cases, teen pregnancy will have a negative effect on the pregnant teen because it will force them to be fully committed to the concerns and needs of the child while neglecting their own. In the same fashion, teen mothers would face the challenge of changing their life style to accompany a child. Some teenagers will miss out on their education; this could mean not going to school or potentially dropping out of school permanently to take care of their baby. According to Huffman, Only 32 percent of teen mothers have graduated from high school that is, have received a regular high school diploma by age 30, compared with over 84 percent of women who delay motherhood. This figure is not surprising; the presence of a young child makes it very difficult for teen mothers to continue their education (56). When a child drops out of school they are prone to ... The human body vests claims on ideology and space; and thus participates as the site on which conflicts about belief systems and territory contest violently. Gay bodies become entangled in violence when they enter into arenas that combat certain ideas. Gay bashing illustrates incidences all in which bodies experience physical injury. In modern U.S. communities various militant conservatives individually target homosexuals in gay bashing. Though few conservative political groups explicitly avow targeting gays for physical violence, their members individually carry out anti gay brutality. Mathew ... Gay panic implies that causing terror in violence is due to forgivable bouts of misjudgment. The defense s language suggests a lack of both premeditation and cognitive participation brought about by the unexpected fright. Sociologists use panic to refer to irrational group behaviors, such as those arising from riot mentality. This statute barrows language from social science for the purpose of linking gay bashing to an academically accepted explanation for seemingly illogical group behavior. Defense attornies often argue that the victim s sexual advancement on the defendants who are already extrememly insecure about their own heterosexual orientation gave their precarious sanity just enough of a nudge to tip over and hence produce irrational violent behavior. The defense also assumes that homosexuality is such a terror as to uproot even something so supposedly stable as heterosexuality. If gay bashing is a symptom of a mental disease then the defendents must be suffering patients instead of knowing criminals. I thought that the paragraph starting, Carrie Anne wanted to make her daughter sandwiches and cut up apples in perfect star shapes. (3) worked well in particular. The reemergence of routine worked well when Carrie Anne comes home such as her going through the back door as visitors only came through the front door as well as the arrangement of the groceries on page 6 in the fridge which signals to her that Winnie is at home. Within Carrie Anne and Winnie s conversation in the house, some interiority of how both Carrie Anne and Winnie felt in the exchange would help add more to the situation and Winnie s character development since Carrie Anne s departure. For example, on page 8, when Winnie asks why Carrie Anne is crying, this is the first time she s heard Winnie s voice in a long time. Also, within his conversation, Carrie Anne seems so fluid in her speech when talking to Winnie that I didn t buy at the moment that she was affected by the moment. Imagine that you lived in the 17th century when there were no airplanes and parachutes. Imagine that you lived happily with your family at the top of the mountain until you ran out of food and water. You can see all the water and the food that you need to help your family survive from the top of the mountain. However, to reach the water and food you need to overcome your fear and jump from the mountain top to the ground. You know that when you jump you will dive into the river beneath the mountain and not suffer physical injury. You also know that it will change your life to jump because you will be able to gather all the food and water that your family needs, but you need to overcome the fear and doubt that is holding you back. You also need to overcome questions triggered by fear on your mind and make you anxious, what if I hit the rock , What if I find no way to climb back up , What if... He had also employed a number of other techniques such as camera angles, shot composition, editing and intentional use of music to accompany the visuals. Spurlock has positioned the audience to accept a somewhat version of the truth as not all sides of the story are given a voice. The way in which Spurlock presents himself to the audience has also deliberately been altered to position the audience to coincide with the attitudes he s presenting throughout the documentary. UV Vis was conducted on the solution before and after the irradiation with sunlight: UVtoluene 554.92nm, A=0.12 before irradiation and A=1.05 after. The peak at 554.92nm corresponds to yellow/green light and its complementary colour is red/violet. This validates the solutions violet color. The increased absorbance was accounted for an increase in the radical component. The radical was formed when exposed to light, which was visually apparent with the purple coloration and proved the thermodynamic dimer was also photochromic. When dimer 4 is exposed to light photons collide with the molecule and impart energy upon them. This energy is significant enough to break the bond between the two rings and results ... Informative Speech On The Theory Of Premillennialism Why The theory of Premillennialism is false teaching By Hunter Strohl Specific Speech Goal: I want to show and persuade my audience to look at the faults in the Theory of Premillennialism. Proposition: I believe that the theory of Premillennialism is wrong. Introduction: Good afternoon, today I want to show and encourage you to take a second look at the theory of Premillennialism. Before we start tearing up the theory of Premillennialism let s look at the main points of this theory. The theory of Premillennialism is made up of 11 key points. (Rev.20) Jesuscame to establish an Earthly kingdom, but was rejected and crucified. The Church was an afterthought of God. There will be a rapture and an Antichrist. Christ will win the battle of Armageddon, and he will reign for 1,000 years. The temple will be rebuilt and the Jews will return to animal sacrifices. Satan will be freed after 1,000 years to fight one last battle. Finally judgement will take place. This theory is very complex to get a grasp on understanding these points B. This book is full of imagery and figurative language that the recipients understood the meaning of. So let s apply this concept and breakdown a couple of the points of this theory. We will examine the flaws in this belief as well. Thesis: The man made theory of Premillennialism is incorrect because it argues for Christ to have an earthly kingdom, a return to Old Testamentconcepts, and does not take into part that Revelation is a ... Reflection on Reading February 11, 2011 Looking Back In Order to Move Forward As a future elementary school teacher, I have always thought the task of teaching kids could be a rewarding and gratifying experience. However, I recently realized that in order to obtain these rewarding experiences the teacher and students must work hard and with determination. Learning to read can be a very daunting task for a youngster. Therefore, as a teacher, it is your job to facilitate positive reading strategies from the start. Looking back at my experiences as an early reader, I can gain some insight as to what might help or hinder my future students. I believe that one of the most important things you can do for your child is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I feel learning the phonics of letters through the rhythms of music truly helped me as I began to sit down with my first readers. As I began applying what I was learning in the songs to some basic basal readers like Dick and Jane I was able to find patterns between the phonics in the songs and the words on the page. We had books that were themed each week with certain phonic sounds. The sound was then repeated throughout the book but in different words. We were able to take these books home and practice with our parents. I think that practice and repetition are key in continuing to recognize letters with their phonic sounds. I feel these books served the purpose of achieving good reading skills for me as a child, and continue to be helpful to children today as they learn to read. There are two other techniques that my teacher used to help teach us how to read. One I consider to be a good strategy and the other I am not too fond of. The first approach was using a tape recorder and head sets. We would sit down with a book and follow along with our finger as a voice was reading the book to us in our ear. I think this particular approach works because it releases the anxiety and stress of having to pick apart the words on a page in order to learn them. By following along they are able to develop listening skills and hear the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. The Bedouin The prophet Muhammad, born in 570 AD in Mecca, was raised by his uncle Abu Taleb as part of the Quraysh tribe. When he was 25, Muhammad married a 40 year old business women, Khadijah, while living out his days as a merchant. As the state of life in Mecca could at times be overwhelming, Muhammad discovered a cave in Hira, which he used to disconnect from Mecca through meditation. During a routine visit to the cave, Muhammadwas visited by an angel, in human form, who revealed Muhammad as God s messenger, urging him to relay the words of Allah to the citizens of Mecca and beyond. Concerned about the possible reaction of his fellow Bedouins, who were grounded in their polytheistic, ancestral tribes, Muhammad did not begin preaching God s word... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Bedouin had little interest in conventional religion, as speculation of supernatural higher powers did not make any impact on their difficult environment (Reading 3, page 15). Because of their harsh, nomadic lifestyle, the Bedouin instead evolved a chivalric code, which, seeing as they were extremely communal, stressed the importance of protecting and avenging the tribe (Reading 3, page 15). However, this chivalric code, known as Muruwah, only encouraged bravery and selflessness within the context of the tribe, paying no attention to universal human rights (Reading 3, page 16). As such, there were great acts of violence committed between various tribes, who following their own special brands of Muruwah, were obligated to defend any actions of their tribal brethren. The prophet Muhammad, a Bedouin himself, saw that the barbarity of the tribes was not conducive to prosperity in Arabia. In his final sermon at mount Arafat in Mecca, prophet Muhammad relayed to listeners his message, at one point saying, every Muslim is a brother to every Muslims and Muslims constitute one brotherhood (Reading 2, page 11). The concept of brotherhood spoke clearly to the Bedouin, as it was inline with their cultural traditions. Because the prophet was one of them and his message of stressing community related to them, the Bedouin bought into the monotheistic religion of Islam. Moreover, because members of the same tribe could not fight amongst each other, Bedouins who converted to Islam brought about peace, ending the senseless violence between each ... • 40. The American General Election Cycle With the American general election cycle in full swing, one of the fundamental issues in play is the role of government. What is the place of Government? What should elected officials be doing? Do they simply protect personal liberties, or do they also establish safeguards and guidelines for various economic activities? Ask any two people and you ll likely receive two different answers, so nuanced and complex is the issue. Policy can give incentives to business to act a certain way both domestically and abroad. Tax incentives in one region may cause a corporate to relocate (this happened to one of my favorite guitar manufacturers recently, as they moved production from Canada to California!). A central bank s tweak in monetary policy to shift the cost of lending could ultimately move interest rates for consumers looking to take out mortgages or automobile loans. As we witnessed in 2008, the housing market is of international concern and a large central bank wields enormous power. While we like to call the Western economy a free market, there exists a multitude of government policies that impact the freedoms and movements of the economy, for better or for worse. I will present two specific examples of government economic intervention for your consideration, one that has helps economic activity and another that hurts it. Incidents and threats of espionage committed using software tools have become frequent headlines in news stories in recent years, thus the existence of cyber espionage is undeniable. This report begins with an introduction of the topic, followed by a literature review. Moving on, two case studies specifically involving the use of Trojans and sniffers to commit espionage will be discussed. The scope of these case studies includes the attack mechanisms used and the countermeasures that could plausibly be adopted, as well as a discussion of each case. 1.0 INTRODUCTION Cyber espionage is the use of software tools to obtain secret or private information ... Attackers can also infect systems with a Trojan and use it to attack another pre defined third party system. Some Trojans have inbuilt keylogging capabilities to record keystrokes made by the victim on the infected system. These Trojans can be configured to automatically covertly email the log file containing the recorded keystrokes to a pre defined email address. It is further possible to configure an autodestruct feature in the Trojan, so that it automatically gets destroyed at a pre specified date, and hence leaves few traces behind. Such Trojans are capable of: Stealing the contents of sensitive emails and documents Recording passwords, credit card numbers, account information etc. Stealing software programming code 2.3.2 Sniffers Sniffers are recording softwares that record and store data packets being sent across a network. It seems for many of us reading a book occurred the last time as far back as high school. While many people rarely or never open books, others read often or always. MAIN ARGUMENT: The value of literature lies in its relevance to contemporary society because books provide us with detailed accounts of human experiences and help understand other people, their emotions and desires. This claim can be well supported with the evidence from two well known literary works: Stephen Crane s The Open Boat and Edgar Allan Poe s The Purloined Letter. Considering that many fast food chains off discounts to seniors, one could possibly pay the regular price and not even think of the possibility of a discount. Therefore, each time a person shops at Goodwill, he or she has the opportunity of a reduced costproviding stipulations are met such as being a student, senior, or military. In order to meet the qualification of pricediscrimination, three points are provided. First, the organization must provide a good or service that is not offered by other organizations, establishing a monopoly. Secondly, the elasticities of demand have to be prevalent, and, and thirdly, stipulations have to be enforced in order to prevent reselling of the product or service for a profit. Considering the price differences encountered by parking garages, price discrimination can be established by examining the price differences between long term parking and short term parking.
