Biography Imam Hanafi
Imam Abū Ḥanīfa was an influential Islamic scholar and jurist who founded the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence. He was born in 699 CE in Kufa, Iraq and showed early intellectual promise, embarking on a quest for religious knowledge. He studied under prominent scholars and became a distinguished student of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. Though offered the position of Chief Judge, Abu Hanifa declined in order to remain independent and was later imprisoned and tortured, dying in prison in 767 CE. Ubayy ibn Ka'b was a chief reciter of the Quran who participated in battles alongside the Prophet and acted as his scribe. He memorized the Quran and knew it better than most. He was highly respected for his knowledge of the Quran and hadith and community members would consult him on religious issues. Ubayy dedicated his life to serving the Prophet and preserving and teaching the words of the Quran.

Umar was later assassinated by Abu Lulu'ah, who was angry about taxes imposed on him. Before his death, Umar asked that Uthman lead the prayers and said that anyone who neglects prayers is not a Muslim. He was buried in the Mosque of the Prophet alongside Muhammad and Abu Bakr.
Caliphate of Uthman
Uthman ibn Affan was a wealthy and generous early convert to Islam from the prominent Umayyad clan. He financially supported Muhammad and the growing Muslim community. After Muhammad's death, Uthman became the third caliph but faced growing opposition and complaints of nepotism. Dissatisfied groups marched to Medina demanding reforms. Uthman tried to address complaints and make concessions but the situation escalated. He was ultimately besieged in his home and martyred, marking the beginning of civil war and the first major fitna in Islam according to prophecies of Muhammad.

Some key facts about his life include that he was born on Monday, 12 Rabi' al-awwal, he was orphaned as a child and raised by his grandfather and uncle, he received his first revelation in the Cave of Hira, and he left the Quran and his example as guidance for Muslims before his death.

Hazrat Aisha was born in 613 CE, the daughter of two of Muhammad's most trusted companions. She married Muhammad and was considered his favorite wife by Sunnis. Aisha was later falsely accused of adultery but was cleared of charges. After Muhammad's death, Aisha played a role in the succession conflict and Battle of the Camel but later retired from public politics. She died in 678 CE at age 67 in Medina.

What is Muharram?
