The Prophet Muhammad began corresponding with various rulers around Arabia after the Battle of Hudaybiyyah to invite them to Islam. He received mixed responses, with the ruler of Abyssinia accepting Islam, the ruler of Egypt respecting the message but not converting, and the rulers of Persia and Byzantium rejecting it, though the Byzantine ruler showed initial belief. The rulers of Bahrain and Yamama gave conditional acceptances or rejected the message, while the kings of Oman accepted Islam after discussions with Amr bin Al-Aas.
