The document provides guidance on developing a minimum viable product (MVP). It emphasizes starting small by testing one hypothesis or use case rather than launching everything. An MVP should have a clear product, audience, and fit between the two. Examples are given of early MVPs like Google Cardboard and Spot.Us. Iteration and customer feedback are important parts of the process. Constraints can foster creativity. The document stresses focusing on solving customer problems and operating in the information business rather than any single medium or technology.

The longer you are work in product management, the more mistakes you make. You learn which parts of frameworks work, and which are overkill. You learn to trust you gut. You learn from your mistakes.

“In God we trust, all others must bring data”. Intuition, experience and well known patterns may give us good indications of successful ideas and features, but nothing gets closer to the truth than data analysis and A/B testing. In this workshop, we’ll show how we do experimentation at Booking: what we test, how to get data through templates and JavaScript, and how we analyse the resulting metrics. We’ll live-code examples, see all potential caveats of dealing with the user tracking on the client-side, and show existent tools you can use to test your own ideas.

3 Things Rambo can teach you about IT in Startups - Startup Camp Berlin 2013Martin Müller
If you are a startup and want to launch a product or a service, you can not effort to let your IT focus on something else than product development.
The last couple of years I unfortunately experienced that IT in startups tend to shift the focus over time from product development to internal operations support. Not because the product is ready and nothing to improve anymore, rather because the need of other departments for technical support and help on their essential tasks and processes grown. And the "IT guys" need to help out there to get it running.
In this presentation I suggest to outsource every process functionality which is not affecting the core product of a startup to an SaaS service provider out there.
Use an expert service provider for sending mail campaigns. Use an drag and drop landingpage creation tool including A/B testing ability for your landingpages. Use a dashboard service for reports and live stats. Use a customer care ticketing and instant faq tool for taking care of customer questions.
My main point is: Don't do it internally and don't do it yourself. Pay overall 200 bucks a month and nobody gets hurt. So you can focus on your mission and not on stupid support tasks.

What is a concierge MVP? It's a minimum viable product that involves manually solving the customer’s problem. De-risk your new business idea and avoid the need to develop too much product upfront by utilizing the concierge MVP experimentation model.
This is a talk I gave for Lean Startup Machine Austin on September 28, 2013 at Capital Factory.
A presentation on writing software requirements that does not prescribe to any established methodology but instead is based on the idea of knowing your audience and common sense.
Innovation is one of the ultimate buzzwords of our era but what is it really? What is its meaning? How can we see it? Replicate it? Scale it? In his talk, I propose that innovation really is the “removal of friction” from a system; and that through this lens we can understand the rise of design, lean startup, Silicon Valley and possibly many other innovative happenings across time.
The talk covers the following topics:
1. The Real Lesson Steve Jobs Taught Us
2. The Rise of Design
3. Innovation = The Removal Of Friction?
4. Co-opting Innovation
As technologists, we love to build things. And we sometimes forget that our customers (or potential customers) don’t care about what we’re building. They care about what they’re building, doing, or feeling. In this talk, we’ll explore methodologies that help us continually focus on our customers’ needs, building just enough to learn and iterate towards their desired outcomes. Coming away from this, you’ll have a few more tools in the toolbox for your lean startup.

[DevDay2019] Lean UX - By Bryant Castro, Bryant Castro at WizelineDevDay.org
Lean UX helps teams build the minimal product necessary to validate risky assumptions and minimize the time to market with the right product. On this lecture, Lean UX principles and its value to the product cycle will be introduced. Also, the methods and tools that will help you get feedback from users and learn rapidly will be discussed. This session is geared towards those who are interested in UX but have no much experience, those looking for new methods to improve their current product processes, and anyone interested in design, business, and user centered design.
There’s a lot of speculation about open source product development. How can a product with “no IP” be competitive? What are the viable business models, when the code is freely available? And how am I supposed to build and take a viable product to market if my open source company is focused on services, not products?
The truth is, you can build — and successfully take to market — an open source product. But the rules are different, and must not be ignored. Product development is guided by different goals. Business models are based on different value propositions. And open source communities must be considered partners in the effort, not detractors or nay-sayers.
This talk will focus on three areas of open source products: product development, go-to-market strategy, and balancing product and services work. We’ll look at examples of open source products who have threaded the needle and “made it,” as well as a few that have crashed and burned. Most importantly, we’ll offer clear tips and guidance for those considering building or marketing an open source product.

MVP: Minimum Viable Product vs. Maximum Value ProductLiquid Reality
Start-ups and product reboots are all thinking the same thing - how quickly can we get to market? The app market is break-kneck, and being first-to-market, or soon-to-market can be important, but, not at the expense of quality. In this talk we'll explore the motivations for being first, and argue the values of being "better"
From experience, we'll focus on how to convince clients and stakeholders to buy-in to quality over "fast" - as a philosophy, as a differentiator, and as a process to making it happen.
Anyone can make an app - just look at any of the app stores, but only the ones that focus on the customer, on quality, and on the entire experience as a whole will succeed.
This talk will give you a roadmap to create better products, get and keep clients on-board with your direction, and deliver outstanding products to the market.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
