Carl, Josh, and Karl are A2 students creating a music video for the folk rock band The Oh Hellos. Their video is aimed at young adults. They ask focus group participants about their favorite music genres and what typically happens in different genre's music videos. They also provide information about The Oh Hellos band and the song "Climbing Trees" that will be featured in the video. Their idea for the music video involves a young male adventurer discovering his "dark" side while on a quest and finding resolution by remembering good memories with a significant other. They conclude by thanking participants for their feedback.

2. Hello! We are Carl, Josh and Karl. We are currently A2
students and would like to ask you all some questions
that will help with our current project.
To compete out A2 media course we will be making a
music video for a folk rock band called the Oh Hellos.
Our video is aimed at young people and adults, so we

The band began their journey in 2011, when
Tyler’s sister, Maggie, joined him releasing
an independently produced self-titled EP.
The success received from their release gave
the band an identity in the Texas music
scene leading to a season of touring that
continued their success.
On the 30th October 2012 the duo released a
full album, a collection of 11 songs called
“Through the deep, dark valley”. The bands
prominence in the folk rock scene grew
even more and the band received greater,
positive reviews as a direct result of the
album.
The Oh Hellos have also experienced and gained
attention in social media. Their Facebook page has
over 20,000 likes and their twitter has a similar
amount of followers. On Youtube, their uploaded
songs have many impressive viewing figures; their
most popular song “Hello my old heart” has 430,000
views as of 19/09/2013.

10. Our ideas
 Target audience = young people to adults (15 to 30)
 A young male adventurer is on a quest for treasure
(in a rural setting), running away from his personal
problems/ reality. When on his adventure he
discovers “dark” him and begins to run away from
him, eventually being chased up a tree. When he
reaches the top the tree he finds “something” that
reminds him of good memories that he shares with
his significant other. This leads to him facing reality
and accepting it.
