He has searched globally for sustainable best practices, such as Cuba's agroecology movement designed by farmers. Current threats include pollution, but new technologies could help design sustainable solutions if implemented properly.

SIANI Annual Meeting 2022: Agri-Gold Mixed Farm
This document presents a proposal for an organic farm called Agri-Gold Mixed Farm. It notes a growing demand for organic fruits and vegetables in the local market that is not being met. Most existing farms use inorganic techniques. The proposal aims to use organic farming techniques to produce high-quality, nutritious vegetables and strawberries to meet this demand. While women constitute 50% of the agricultural workforce and produce 50% of the world's food, they only receive 10% of income and own 1% of property. They face disparities in areas like income, wages, education, and health. Addressing issues like food security, rural finance, land policy, markets, labor, and infrastructure could help empower women and boost agricultural productivity and economic growth. However, achieving gender equality faces political, policy, practical, and technological challenges that need to be overcome.

Men and women in selected sites in Kenya and Uganda were surveyed about their perceptions and experiences of climate change impacts, adaptation strategies, and decision making. The survey found that once aware, women were more likely to adopt climate-smart agriculture practices. There was wide variation found in access to information sources between men and women. The study concluded that both men and women are adapting to climate change through farm-based strategies and input-related changes, but that patterns of decision making varied depending on the specific crop.
