Green Building Effect in Commercial Building vivatechijri
The key reason behind any environmental strain is the haphazard usage of global natural resources leading to, pollution in the environment, sea level rising, warming the earth, depletion of natural resources etc. The drastic climate variation has been observed worldwide, which in fact is mainly due to the release of CO2 from every energy actions. The building sector consumes nearly 40 % of the total energy and accounts for 30 percent of world greenhouse gas emissions. With all the green features modeled, the project building could achieve 33.76% energy improvement over the baseline building in the present model. The formulated water conservation strategy includes recycled water from sewage, rainwater harvesting, metering and sub metering, and low flow fixtures. The maximum quantity of recycled water generated inside the building is 157.3 KL/month and the total saving of freshwater is 53.85%.
For environmental conservation, the usage of recycled aggregates in concrete may be beneficial. The products for the future are recycled aggregates. The usage of recycled aggregates has been initiated in several European, American, Russian and Asian building ventures. Many nations have relaxed the usage of recycled aggregates with respect to infrastructure rules. This project reports the fundamental characteristics of recycled fine aggregates and recycled coarsely aggregates and contrasts them with natural aggregates. Basic shifts are described in all aggregate properties and their impacts on concreting work are thoroughly addressed. The properties of recycled concrete aggregates are also calculated. Fundamental concrete properties such as compressive power, bending strength, operability and so for the numerous combinations of recycled aggregates and natural aggregates are discussed here. Codal recommendations for recycled concrete aggregates in different countries are listed here, with their influence on concretion function. In general, the existing state of recycled aggregates in India along with their potential needs and use are addressed here. Abstract: The challenges our planet faces, particularly climate change and sustainable economic development, are global in nature and so require global solutions. The building sector, which consumes as much as 40% of world’s energy, 12% of its water and contributes 40% of its waste sent to landfill, is the major part of this global problem. Reducing energy use in buildings saves resources and money while reducing pollution and CO2 in the atmosphere. It also leverages even greater savings at power plants. For the average 33-percent-efficient coal-fired power plant, saving a unit of electricity in a building saves three units of fuel at the power plant. So to reduce green house gas emission, government promotes new buildings construction and to retrofit existing buildings while satisfying low energy criteria. This means improving energy efficiency of buildings and energy systems, developing sustainable building concepts and promoting renewable energy sources. “Green” or “sustainable” buildings use key resources like energy, water, materials, and land more efficiently than buildings that are just built to code. With more natural light and better air quality, green buildings typically contribute to improved employee and student health, comfort, and productivity. A green building depletes the natural resources to the minimum during its construction and operation. In this paper an over view of green building is discussed.

Abstract:It is most significant to achieve environment protection in construction industry for which prefabrication construction technique is considered to be most efficient sustainable construction method. The importance of prefabrication is based on the influence of different activities elaborate such a waste management, adaptation of material reuses and recycles. This research paper includes a dynamic design approach to evaluate the cost performance of construction project using prefabrication construction method along with applying the subsequent waste treatment activities to accomplish waste management. The construction cost of duplex villathrough traditional construction has been carried out. The construction cost of the same project has then been calculated by the present prefabricated assembly market prices. After critical comparison between construction costs of traditional and prefabrication methods, a significant cost saving has been noticed. The day by day increasing public awareness about the environmental impacts of construction waste has been resulted in including waste management as a major function of construction project management by some construction organizations. Although, some of methods have been developed for construction waste management it is still of much importance that no research has been done so far in this topic to introduce waste minimization through necessary waste treatment activities. This research paper emphasis on the identification of supreme horizons of prefabrication techniques and methods in construction industry by converging on the aggressive need of suitable training and skills for workplace.

The green building momentum began in 1990 with the establishment of 1st green rating system - BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environment Assessment Method) in the U.K., then after followed by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1993 led a rating system' LEED' (Leadership in Energy & Environment Design). The green building and sustainable development moment is an entirely new environmentally friendly lifestyle that is steadily emerging worldwide and in India. In India, the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) started in 2001 with its rating and certification process.
