This document discusses the design of a universal drilling machine that aims to provide increased flexibility and reduced effort compared to traditional drilling machines. The universal drilling machine combines features of a bench drill and hand drill. It has a base frame, vertical arm, robotic arm, bearings, links, motor, drill chuck, drill bit, battery, wires, and switch. The arms and links allow flexibility of movement while drilling to access different work surfaces. This provides more freedom of movement than a bench drill while requiring less effort than a hand drill. The goal is a portable drilling machine that maintains accuracy and stability during operation to improve efficiency of drilling tasks.
