This document summarizes the design and development of a multi-operation machine capable of performing shaping, cutting, and grinding operations simultaneously. The machine uses a scotch yoke mechanism and belt and pulley system to transmit power from an electric motor to rotating cutting, grinding, and shaping tools. The objectives are to reduce production time and costs for manufacturing industries by enabling multiple machining operations to occur at once. Components of the machine include an electric motor, pulleys, belts, cutting tool, cutting wheel, and grinding wheel. Calculations are provided for the cutting and material removal rates of the different operations.
