  8. Alexis/Renee 2020 has changed the face of the office as we know it. To survive and thrive in the new environment you need to new skills. For example, before the transition people that had good communications skills to live audiences were more successful in customer facing roles. But in the new environment people that have good video and phone presence and are adept at online communications became the one s that are more successful. And these are two different skill sets. So people had to take a deliberate effort to develop new skills they never had to focus on.
  9. Alexis/Renee I’ve been meeting with teams and team managers and they are all concerned about alignment now that they way we work has shifted. Especially at current times or with rapidly changing business dynamics, teams must rely on speed to pivot & continuous delivery for success BUT they are held back by these realities - Remote and hybrid workforce keeps our employees more distant and siloed than ever before. It’s not possible to have those face to face or team brainstorms to get quick alignment. Recently the Economist confirmed what we all know.. Number of meetings increased by 13% and that it’s topped by more emails and more Slack for an information overload that’s bringing down productivity While teams adjust to remote and hybrid work models, collaboration has taken a hit and the execs I’ve been speaking with look to technology to help them put in place a pragmatic foundation that will help all their employees.   10. Alexis/Renee Prior to the pandemic, the creative work of concepting, ideation, brainstorming, whatever you want to call it, were thought of as activities that needed to be done in-person. And how on earth does one virtually replicate the organic, free-flowing exchanges needed to get stakeholder approvals. Surely these had to be live. Turns out we can do these, and more, virtually. As we learned overnight, cross-team collaboration could be done remotely. We could air-traffic control, or smoothly manage workflows and track progress. With little change in our routine, and the right collaborative work management software, we could concept, review, and approve, even automate the process. And, we could, when necessary, still fast-track urgent projects. The byproduct of this discovery, not surprisingly, was that teams could collaborate efficiently, smoothly, and productively regardless of time zone, as long as they had a versatile configurable collaborative work management platform to keep everything in one place and on track.
  11. Alexis To stay competitive in today’s environment, companies will need to structure themselves to continuously evolve. They will need to embrace and find ways to be successful in remote or hybrid workplaces. This will likely involve adjusting processes that are more suited for in-person work. Finally, companies will need to adopt tools that allow them to collaborate with distributed team members seamlessly.

  13. Renee The path to productivity depends on in-team and cross-team collaboration. According to the society for HR Management, high-performing teams have the following well-defined in their everyday activities: G - goal clarity | R - role clarity | I - interactions quality | P - processes and procedures quality This is where the leader can have a significant impact on their teams performance.
