Abstract
We are familiar with the problems that our environment face due to plastics, as these consumes
massive energy and other natural resources, depleting the environment in various ways.
Moreover, their disposal has always been a constant headache and problem for the society. But
plastic s usage can t be completely ostracized as it will result in depletion of other natural
resources like paper, wood at great extent. The light weight, cost effectiveness and strength of
plastics can be put in to various good uses. The softening point of plastic is achieved at about
160 degrees Celsius. These properties of plastics will play a good role in construction of roads.
The softened plastic can be laminated over hot aggregates and can be used as an alternative to the
very costly bitumen used as a binder in road construction.
The main objective of this paper is to discuss the significance of plastic use in road construction in
terms of strength and cost reduction.

brung into the real world . Many stories, books, movies, and games have developed from this
novel. In the novel, Dracula has a lot of myths attached to him. These myths are what make him a
vampire, and so when other people come up with these new stories or books or movies, they also
implement myths into their characters to give them life as a vampire. In every story, most of the
characters are considered either bad and evil or good and friendly . These labels are based on the
characters actions, thoughts (when possible), and personality traits. In Dracula, Count Dracula
would primarily be classified as the antagonist and evil. As previously mentioned, this is based on
the fact that he made evil decisions, and had very bad qualities about him. However, in Twilight,
Edward is a much more difficult character to label. Him and the Count have many similarities,
however they are also much different. Blood sucking, shapeshifting, killer... These are just some of
the myths attached to Count Dracula. Dracula is a vampire, and as we all know, vampires consume

Literary Analysis The Haunted Boy
The setting is used by the author in stories to display the mood of the scene. Specific details bring
up certain moods for the characters and the reader. For example, when talking about a warm, sunny
day, the reader can infer that the scene is going to be happy and there is going to be no
misfortunate event that happens. Carson Smith McCullers uses the setting in her short story The
Haunted Boy to display the different moods of the main character Hugh. The settings in the story
help show how uncomfortable Hugh is in the house after a past experience and shows how happy
he is outside when he remembers happy memories.
The beginning of the story starts out with one of few happy settings. The front yard was one of
the only places that brought happy feelings to the story. McCullers short story starts out by
describing the day having sunshine on a mid April afternoon and the front lawn being green (page
675). These descriptions allow the reader to think warm and colorful thoughts. The story then goes
to talk about how the boys are running outside in the warm. Hugh race up the sidewalk, and John
followed him. They finished the front steps with two bounds, and the door slammed after them
(page 675). This shows how the boys are having fun and enjoying each others company. Finally, the
front yard is the place that Hugh remembers some of his fond memories of his mother. Sometimes
she would be out fooling with the border of spring flowers the candytuft, the sweet William, the
lobelias (she had taught him the names)... (page 675). From this explanation, the reader can relate
to the character thinking about different memories that they may have that bring happy thoughts to
mind.
One of the only places in the house that brought a comfortable feeling to Hugh was the kitchen. The
kitchen is described as bright and clean and the best room in the house (page 676). In the kitchen,
there are fresh towels and clean dishes. This statement gives you the feeling that everything is
going well in the house and there is nothing wrong. The kitchen is also the only place in the house
