of 27.9 by 27.9 centimeters. Each sheet costs around 0.0092 cents. After the ice cube finished
melting I observed what happened and found that the paper towel absorbed the water with no

Whenever his army marched into a land, it was not just an army of warriors; he brought an
entourage of scholars to spread the culture as well. Interspersed within the fighting battalions
were architects, philosophers, scribes, musicians, and educators whose whole duty was to
spread the culture to those who were conquered. Some of these strategies were the establishment
of Greek cities, Greek schools (Gymnasia), and commanding the Greek language as the official

language for government and the de facto language for commerce. Many people began to give
their children Greek names, and local styles of art and architecture began to imitate Greek
models. Even some of the Jewish High Priests took Greek names. All of this was not a good turn
of events for Israel since the Greek culture was very ungodly and humanistic. Despite the bright

The operation started around dawn on the 17th of September, 1944. German forces continued
receiving regular air strikes by allied forces near Eindhoven, Deelen, Ede, and airfields in
Holland. Paratroopers of the airborne assault boarded their planes and began travel to their drop
sites. The operation used over two thousand aircraft, between troop carriers and assault aircraft, to
get the paratroopers close enough to assault into their objectives. By approximately 1400 hours
local time on the 17th, an estimate of 20,000 troops landed in vicinity of their planned drop zones.
Additionally, this was the first successful airborne operation for dropping artillery into battle. The
three assault forces began their movement onto their objectives by evening of the 17th, finding

Noton?s World is a very good example of this also, because he performs experiments and talks
about science and math during his show. Shows such as cartoons aren?t very educational; however,
they can be very entertaining for these children. There are also shows, such as The Alyson?s
Sisters, which deals with everyday occurrences that relate to them. These twins fall into this age

Robert Frost, Out,Out
1. In line 15, Frost describes the saw as being sinister. He infers that the saw has a mind of its
own, by stating that the saw jumped out of the boy s hand and cut the boy s hand terribly. Frost
also makes it seem as if the saw is in a way, like a friend. He does this by demonstrating that using
the saw is an advantage for the boy because it is making his job ten times easier. Without the saw,

In her poem, Aunt Jennifer s Tigers, Adrienne is describing the protagonist s feelings towards
her marriage. In lines 9 10, the protagonist feels that she is a prisoner of her marriage, and will
only be set free when she dies. The protagonist uses the tigers as a symbol of who she wished she
could be. In the first stanza of the poem, Adrienne describes the tigers as being un fearful of the
men. A trait she wishes she possessed.
Sharon Olds, Rite of Passage, 1. The speaker describes the first grade boys at her son s birthday
party as men. Their behavior is pure imitation of the men they have been around. Her description
of them is ironic, because how can first graders realistically be grown men? She also uses the

throughout the novel. This is seen through small acts of rebellion like when she takes the butter to
use as moisturizer and by manipulating language to retain what is left of her sense of humour. It s

In The Lakota Way, Koskalaka meets the deer woman and remembers what his grandmother had
told him and out of respect he declines her tempting offer to go with her. Just like Koskalaka
respects his elder grandmother my siblings also have learned that we must respect people and

Art Analysis Of Thomas P. Anshutz s A Rose
The image I chose for this paper is titled A Rose. The image is a painting painted in oil on a
canvas and was painted by Thomas P. Anshutz. The painting was produced in Pennsylvania during
1907. I researched this image on ARTstor by using the term realism and then I narrowed down my
search by selecting a filter to return paintings as well as setting the geography filter to North
America. The painting belongs to The Metropolitan Museum of Art s collection and is on display
in the American Wing in the gallery of Images of Woman
from 1880 to 1910.
I selected this painting because the colour contrast of the pink dress against the dark background
