2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

In Odoo, the multi-company feature allows you to manage multiple companies within a single Odoo database instance. Each company can have its own configurations while still sharing common resources such as products, customers, and suppliers.
Unit 8 - Information and Communication Technology (Paper I).pdfThiyagu K
This slides describes the basic concepts of ICT, basics of Email, Emerging Technology and Digital Initiatives in Education. This presentations aligns with the UGC Paper I syllabus.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. Process
• I used the pencil tool to draw out the
characters and the colour box to make
the colours
• To make the head of Frankenstein I had
to use the rectangle tool and the
eraser tool to erase some of the edges
off to get the shape I wanted
• I’ll be honest, I did better then I
thought.
3. Process
• My intention to start making the
body of Frankenstein. I looked at
some images of Frankenstein on
Google.
• I identified certain features of
Frankenstein such as the bolts on his
neck, the size of him, the broad
square shoulders.
• I used the pencil tool to draw the
outline of the character.
• This will help the imposing structure
• I found this peace of work alright I
just need to see the outcome to
decide whether or not I like it or not
4. Process
• Today I coloured in most of
Franks body using the pencil
tool, eraser tool and the
colour tool.
• I’ve added the bolts in
Franks neck
• I got some of the colour
ideas from google
• The colours I chosen may
change later in production
• I still need to see the final
results of this to determine
whether or not I like it
5. Process
• Today finished the rest of
Frankenstein's body Using
the same method as before
• The background floor that
the fighters are standing on
was a mixed between using
the rectangle tool and the
pen tool but then I used the
inner shadow effect to
shade them
• For the grass I made a new
layer then used the Dune
Grass
• Trees were created using
the grass tool
6. Process
• I’ve finished the grass by adding more colour in it.
• I have brighten up the trees and added some shading using the inner shadow tool
• I got the moon from Google images by searching for pixel crescent moon then I copied and
pasted it and used the magic wand tool to get rid of the white background
• There are 2 layers of stars. 1 is easy to see and the 2nd layer of stars has the opacity change
to 21%. This makes the stars more realistic.
• The moon light was made by using the lasso tool to make a shape from the moon to the
floor then colouring that shape with the same colour as the moon. I softened shape by going
to filter, blur, Gaussian blur and then change the opacity to 16%
7. • I’ve added text using the text tool but I
couldn't use the font I wanted because
it became unreadable so I had to use
one already on Photoshop instead. I
also added a outline using the stroke
tool so that you can see the text.
• The health bar (the green and red
thing) was made using the rectangle
tool then I stretch out 2 of the corners
using I think the warp tool.
• The special metre (the blue thing)
using the rounded rectangular tool I
used the gradient tool to colour it in
then I drew the outline using the
pencil tool
• I didn’t have time to make the rage
metre so I left it.
• I am really proud of this though I wish I
could fix Frank’s fist and maybe added
more shading on Dracula
