2. Process
• First off I started
with an A4 but that
size was too small
so I selected A3
because I could fit
more on this sized
paper. Next I want
to find a
background for this
page.
3. Process
• Next I found a perfect
background for the
theme I want to do for
my final project. Its not
too much it’s not painful
to the eyes. And it’s also
cartoony which a child
would love. To achieve
this I embedded the
image, and the image is
also high quality which is
good because it means
that the book will have
more sales.
4. Process
• Next I embedded this
donkey onto the
background so it
looked like the donkey
was on the grass. I also
used the magic wand
tool to get rid of the
white bit around the
donkey. I also added
the material that I wat
and where I want it to
be placed.
5. Process
• Then I went onto
dafont.com and I
chose this font
because it's bold
and easy to see. I
used the magic
wand tool to get
rid of the white bit
around the edge.
6. Process
• Here I added the
words “is for”, for
this I used
defonts.com. I used
snipping tool and
embed to get the
writing on the page.
I also used magic
wand to get rid of
the white outline.
7. Process
• For the donkey
writing I used
defonts.com to get
the font I wanted.
Then I used snipping
tool and embedded
the writing to the
page. Next I used
the magic wand tool
to get rid of the
white edging.
8. process
For this process I wanted
to try a style on what I
Could potentially use for
my final product. For this I
Went on google to look at
different styles of cartoon
Animals.
9. process
On Friday 1st April I went to hobby craft and looked
At all the materials to see which ones would fit
Well with what animals I am doing. And I discussed with
My teacher to come up with animals. And after a while
We came up with the following, lion, penguin, cow
(eating the grass), snake, bunny and sheep.
Bunny tail / sheep
Lion mane.
Penguin
Grass snake koala
10. process
I scanned my picture and put it in
Photoshop so I could draw over the
Koala so I can make it cartoon. For this I
Used a scanner and I had It emailed over
To me so I could embed it over to the
Page on the screen, so I could start
Tracing over it.
11. process
I added an outline to the face of
The koala using the paintbrush tool.
To fill in the face I used the polygonal
Lasso tool because it’s quicker then
Colouring the face with just the
Paintbrush tool.
12. process
Next I used the paintbrush tool to draw on his facial
Features, I didn’t know how to trace them on so I just drew
Them on free handed. I added a tough to the mouth and
White dots to the nose and eyes so it looks like it has a
Shine to them.
13. process
Next I used the paintbrush tool to sketch on the outline
Of the tree trunk , and I coloured the trunk with the
polygonal Lasso tool and the paint bucket tool to colour
The inside of the trunk. I also used the paintbrush tool
To colour the rest of the white spots.
14. process
This is the final product, in the end I added
Another white spot on the tongue, and I also did
The leaves and I added more detail to the trunk.
Next time I will do the outline more thick because
It’s more thick on side then it is on the other.
15. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product? I will definitely
draw the animals first and trace over them on
photoshop. I will also add the white dots on
the facial features to make it look more
realistic. Next time I will use polygonal Lasso
tool more because I know how to use it now.
