This document summarizes the process of creating a magazine cover and layout for a Tesla magazine. It describes steps taken such as adding images and logos, adjusting sizes, and formatting text. 2. Process
• To start off my front
cover I used this image
that I found on the
internet. I used the
internet because I
wouldn’t of been able to
get my own picture of a
tesla because I do not
know anyone that has
one. The image was
bigger than the canvas
so I made it the correct
size so the car would fit
perfectly.

3. Process
• In this image I cut out the tesla so
that I could add a gaussian blur to
the background so that the car
would pop and make it stand out
more. Also for the magazine title I
used the font called
BigNoodleTilting Oblique. I then
added effects to the font. I added
a stoke and also added a drop
shadow so the font would stand
out more and be easier for the
audience to read. I added two
tesla logos to to magazine as well
so that people know what the
magazine is about. Finally I added
vibrance to the magazine so that
the colours would look better and
brighter.

4. Process
• On this Image I added a main
cover line through the middle
of the magazine cover and I
also put it behind the main
image. The main cover line is
supposed to be smaller than
the masthead but larger than
the regular cover lines. This is
what catches the viewers eye. I
then added a smaller cover
line down at the bottom of the
page so people know what the
magazine is about before they
read it fully. Then I finally
added a drop shadow to both
of them pieces.

5. Process
• In this image I have added two
smaller cover lines that explain in
more detail what exactly the main
parts of the magazine are. These
show all the cars that will be
spoken about and also everything
you need to know about the
company that the magazine is all
about. I then added a drop
shadow to both of these so it
makes the pop more and it also
makes them stand out more.
Finally I added two lines under the
wheels just for a design. I used the
rectangle tool and then used the
free transform tool to get them
the exact shape I wanted. I
duplicated one of the lines and
then changed the colour of them
so that they are different.

6. Process
• In this image I made a new
photoshop document and
slip the page in half. I did
this by working out what
the middle of the page was
by looking at the ruler at
the top of the page. Then I
used the rectangle tool to
draw the white boarders. I
made them transparent and
then duplicated the layer to
put onto the other side.

7. Process
• In this image I got an image from
google. I searched up “beautiful
road” because I wanted to have a
vibrant background and I also
wanted it to stand out. I then
added a little bit of a Gaussian
blur to around 13.0 pixels. I made
the road fit exactly in the middle
of the image so that it fits to the
theme of the magazine. The final
thing that I did to this page was
use the rectangle tool to add two
boxes in black and then I lowered
the opacity to 56% so that it
darkens the background. I then
duplicated the layer so I could also
have one below.

8. Process
• In this image I added the tesla
logo into the top box to make
the page clearer to the
audience. I did feel like there
were too much free space
around the logo but I ended up
leaving it how it was. Then
below I added my own
research about tesla and gave
the audience some more
information. I added two little
tesla logos next to the header
for a better design. I then went
over everything and thought
that I should add an outline to
the logo so I then added a
stroke in white.

9. Process
• In this image I got on
image that I took from
my holiday last year. I
chose this picture
because it was one of
my favourite that I
took. I then added
images of all the cars
that I was going to talk
about. I made them all
the same size to make
the page look much
more cleaner.

10. Process
• For this image firstly I added a
gaussion blur to the background
image. Then I used the rectangle
tool to create a box that I can add
the text in. I made them the same
size as the images so that the page
wouldn’t look out of shape. I then
lowered the opacity to 56% and
duplicated the layer multiple
times so that I could add text
about every other image. Finally I
added the subtitles for every car
and used the font called
BigNoodleTilting Oblique. To
underline the text I used the
rectangle tool and made the
underline fit the same length as
the subtitle.

11. Process

added all the text
to my magazine
that I needed. I
first of all did my
research on what I
wanted to put in
my magazine and
also the main parts
about the cars.
