I used photos that I took of my model using my phone for the most of this product.
I emailed the photos to myself on my student email and copy and pasted them into
my Photoshop document. I then used the magnetic lasso tool to crop the
background out of the photo of my model as the magic wand tool wasn’t accurate
enough and ended up taking chunks out of my model. I then used the dodge and
burn tools and lowered the hardness on them to about 60 so that the editing
wasn’t made too obvious so that I could highlights and darken certain areas and
make the photo more attractive. I then took various ‘football casual’ brand logos
from google and copy and pasted them into my Photoshop, using the magic wand
tool to clear out the back ground of the logos so I was just left with the logo itself
so it could make itself the exact same red colour as my background, I chose red
over my original Aquascutum as I felt my model blended into the chequered
pattern too much. I ended up settling with my pale red background as it is a bright
attractive colour which could easily catch the eye of people walking past the
magazine. I also went with the red and white background as it was a popular choice
from my survey monkey votes. I then went onto ‘DaFont.com’ to look for an
appropriate font for my masthead, this time I went with ‘Lemon Milk’ a font from
the website I had already decided I liked. I downloaded this font and used ‘Leading’
to take away the space between my two lines of masthead. I then created a white
rectangle changed all my logos to the same red colour as my background and listen
them on the rectangle to keep my red and white colour scheme.

I used an A3 page size and set it horizontally.
Using the line tool I measured exactly half way
my page (21cm) I know this from using view
then selecting ruler.
The images I used for my double page spread
were all of google. I used the clone stamp on my
background to use on the shouting faces of
spectators within the photo to make the image
look more unique. I also used the opacity tool to
reduce the opacity of the Stone Island logo so
you can still see more of the background. I then
used rectangles to make the clothing stand out
from the background and the black rectangles
to make sure the text didn’t get lost in the
background. I used the Stone Island logo itself
for more audience appeal.

4. Process
I used a photo of my model that I sent to
myself and then cropped around her using the
polygonal lasso tool. I then used the
background eraser tool to make a more
convincing crop and make my blue background
stand out more. I used blue for my back cover
as I used red for my front. I also used black
logos for this image as I used white logos for
my front. I cropped my logos using the magic
wand tool and used the paint bucket to fill in
the logos and background. Sometimes it didn't
enable me to delete the background so I had
to rasterize the layer. I have kept it simple so
that it wouldn’t seem overcomplicated for
people who are just trying to browse clothes.
