2. Process
• I used another picture of my model and chose a colour to use in
the background that would match with the model’s clothes. I
used the Rectangle Tool to create the lines in the back of the
image and I chose a dark colour to make sure that the lines
wouldn’t disappear in the background. Using the website, 1001
fonts I found the font Home Planet BB to use on the masthead of
my magazine that I have mentioned on Pre-Production
PowerPoint. Then I used the Custom Shape Tool to create the
rounded shape of the exclusive. This buzz word will draw the
audience’s attention to look at what is inside the magazine. On
the plugs, I used different types of fonts to make the magazine
look more professional and easier to read and also the large fonts
make it eye catching.
• The strength of using different font styles is that it makes the
magazine attractive which would improve the appearance of the
magazine, making it engaging and eye catching so that the
audience has more interest in buying/reading the magazine.
Using the custom shape tool has given the magazine a different
contrast, it makes the magazine interesting. It also draws the
audience’s attention because of the buzz word, ‘Exclusive’. It
makes the audience feels associated with the magazine and
makes them curious and want to read the content.
• Weaknesses: I think the colour of the background doesn’t match
with the summer season. I think it would if the background was a
light or pastel colour; that would make it more appealing to the
audience because analysing their answers in the survey shows
that they had chosen pastel colours to reflect summer. I had to
change the colour of the background to a colour that would
match with the model’s clothes so that would make the magazine
cover more interesting.

3. Process
• Firstly, I chose the colour of the background and an
image of the model to use in the centre of a page. I
used the Magnetic Lasso Tool to select and then I
selected inverse to delete the white background. Then
I researched on the website 1001 fonts. I really liked
the font I have used on the double page spread
because it matches with the summer season and I
think the large font makes the product eye catching. To
create the rounded rectangle, I used Tabbed Button
from the Custom Shape Tool. After that, I researched
some tips and interviews to use in my product. For
that, I used the Text Tool and chose a font that I liked
the most which is Myriad Pro. And finally, I chose a
different font to use in the quote; the font is Lucida
Calligraphy.
• A strength of this is the size of the fonts, I think it
makes the double page spread interesting and
appealing to my target audience because of the style
and the way that the fonts of the masthead was
positioned which makes it eye catching. Another
strength is how the model’s picture matches with the
background and all content included in the page.
• A weakness of my double page spread is the
numbering of the pages which is quite hard to read
because of the colour that I chose to use. Next time I
would use a different colour that could make the
numbers stand out more.

4. Process
• Firstly, I sketched some designs on paper and scanned. I
used Photoshop to give colours to the outfits using the
Magnetic Lasso Tool and Paint Bucket Tool. I changed
the opacity in some parts of the clothes to make it look
like what the design really looks like. Secondly, I
changed the background colour to a pastel colour, which
is the colour that I chose to use in my products. I found
the fonts on the website 1001 fonts. I think the fonts
match with the summer season and they are eye
catching which will help the audience know what the
sketchbook is giving to them. I found on the internet the
colour schemes and the flowers wallpaper that I used in
some outfits. To make the flowers fit with the clothes, I
used transformer tool and pressed Ctrl + T and ctrl to
make it move. After that, I used the graphic tablet to
write about the outfits.
• The strengths of this sketchbook is the colour of the
background which helped the designs stand out. This
makes the product appealing to the audience and the
audience helped me to decide the colours and
important contents that I wanted to produce in my final
product. I think the colours of the design makes the
sketchbook interesting because of the different colours.
• A weakness of using the Magnetic Lasso Tool is that I
couldn’t use in the designs because it was making the
lines disappear, so I left the white border around the
sketches. I found hard to writing on a graphic tablet so
that made the hand writing a bit hard to read.
