STAGE 5
PRODUCTION
REFLECTIONS
Your Name
 This proforma is to record how you worked on your production
 You should complete this each week during production
 Consider all relevant areas that you covered that week
 Think about what worked/what didn’t work/how you can improve
and actions for the following sessions/weeks
 Week 1 was where we did our
initials ideas PowerPoint. My
initial ideas were based heavily
on the brief . On this I did a
small mood board and pitched
my original idea. My original
idea was that Some friends
would go into an attic and find
an old box containing items
including an old camera with a
photo of their friend who ran
away and he is now dead.
 During week 2 I did my research and my
audio and filming experiments. My research
came from primary data of
surveymonkey.com, from this I got a
general idea of the target audience I would
have, as well as this we did some
secondary research, this took place on
YouGov.co.uk – profiles. This gave me a
general idea of a target audience of people
who like similar genres. My audio
experiment began with me getting a short
clip from Shaun of the Dead with no audio
at all. From here I would have to watch the
clip and see what sounds would need
adding, for example the sound of him
slipping over. This was created on a sound
recorder round college. My filming
experiment was where we were put into
small groups and would follow a list of
objectives set by Scott to complete in a
short film and then edit it ourselves on
premier pro.
 During week 3 I did my planning
and pre- production as well as my
proposal. The pre production
powerpoint was bigger and took
longer than the others. It started
with doing a story development
slide which would the be further
broke down into a structural
breakdown. The second section
was largely included pre
visualisation type work, such as
storyboarding, mood boards
concept boards and a shot list.
Section 3 regarded more info
about the cast like a call sheet, risk
assessment production schedule
and location information. The final
section was about diegetic and non
diegetic sound and how I would get
each type. My proposal was about
my concept, the audience , the
production techniques and other
factors
 Week 4 began with the actual
film, this took up most of the
week, as well as this I lost my
memory stick so I had to redo
some of my powerpoints. I
had to learn how to do certain
things with the camera such
as changing the ISO settings.
 I finished off my editing during
week 5 and also finished
some powerpoints off. I also
began my evaluation and
uploaded all my powerpoints
to blogger from slideshare.
