In the first three weeks of production, the student learned about cinematography and mise-en-scene, developed ideas for their film through mind maps and mood boards, conducted research, and created a proposal outlining their production plan. In week four, they created a pre-production PowerPoint with shot lists, mood boards, casting, and a backup plan. Finally, they spent two days filming, editing, and uploading their short film, ensuring their documentation was complete. Overall, they were pleased with the progress made and learning during the rotation.

3.  In the first week of our short film rotation, we were introduced to
the most important information about films. This included
cinematography and Mise-en-scene. This was very useful as it was
features we could add to the films we made ourselves. After this we
started to decide what we wanted our films to include and what the
possible storyline could be. This was done through the use of mind
maps and mood boards. This helped very much in gathering ideas
together for my final production.

4.  In the second week, we took some primary and secondary research
to take some of the information onboard with us for when we make
our own film. The primary research was questions we chose
ourselves, and the secondary information was taken by analysing
film reviews that were linked closely to our storylines. Later on in
the week we made our own practice short films with a storyline
already in place for us to follow. After this we placed it on premiere
and edited and cut the film down. This helped as it refreshed our
memory on how the whole process worked.

5.  In the 3rd week of production, we had to complete a proposal
document which was confirming what we have decided for our final
production. This also included production techniques that we intend
on using for our final production. I believe this was very useful as
when it came to the final week of production, we could use our
proposal document as a check list to ensure we have added
everything we said we were going to when planning.

6.  Week 4 was one of the most important weeks in this short rotation as
we had to compete our pre production powerpoint which stored a
breakdown of every scene, mood boards for the film, a cast list, a
closer look at techniques I intended on using, location list, equipment
that i needed to request for, and finally a back up plan in case
something went wrong. The shot list was a very important feature as
when we decided to film i used the shot list as a guide to tell me what
exactly needed to take place in every scene, it also told me how much
time i intended on filming so we didn't go over.
 I also thought another important feature in the pre-production
powerpoint was the back up plan. This was because i only had a
short duration of time to film, so if there was to be an issue with the
location for example, I would be prepared film in a different location
without panicking because i had a back up plan already there for me.

7.  In the final week of production, i finally filmed my short film. Not
only did i complete my own, i helped complete others production as
well by taking up the role as an actor. My film took 2 days to
complete. This includes filming, editing and uploading. I edited my
video on adobe premiere and uploaded it onto youtube. After i
finished my film, i went through all my completed powerpoint to
ensure it everything was at the highest of standards. Overall i am
very happy with the progress i have made in this short rotation
and i believe it will help me immensely for future references as i've
learnt so many new aspects to filming and participated myself.
