3. 1.-HISTORY
La Mecca is one of the most important cities in Islam,
because Muhammad was born in this place.
In the year 630 the city was conquered by the Islam
army. This group was liderated by Muhammad
4. In the year 638 the big mosque of Mecca was built.
This mosque is around the Kaaba.
La Mecca was attacked in its history many times. One
attack was in the year 570 ( the year of the birth of
Muhammad). Other important date is 929. In this year,
the “cármatas” invaded the city, but the muslism
recuperated it 20 years later
Today, La Mecca is one of the most important cities in
all the Islam and a lot of people visit it
5. 2.-SACRED BUILDINGS
The Masjid al-Haram is the mosque of La Mecca. It´s
the biggest and the most important mosque in all the
Islam. In the centre it is the most important
monument: the Kaaba or Black Stone.
The Kaaba is a monument with the form of a cube.

7. 3.-IMPORTANCE IN ISLAM
Muslim people have to go to La Mecca once in their
life.
The Kaaba is crowded because a lot of people go there
to show that they are true muslims
The Kaaba is also a type of comunication between the
muslims and their god, Allah.
If there are muslims that they can´t peregrinate to La
Mecca, they can go to Costantinople
