Charminar
The Charminar is a massive arch built by
Mohammed Quli Qutab Shah, in 1591 to
commemorate the end of the plague in the city. The
symbol of the city, the Charminar, is an impressive
square monument with four minarets. The arch is
illuminated daily in the evening, an unforgettable
sight indeed.
The most popular place to visit in Warangal is the
Thousand Pillars Temple, located at the base of
Hanamkonda hill. It was built in 12th century by
the Kakatiya King Rudra Deva. Dedicated
primarily to Lord Shiva, this temple is also known
by the name of Sri Rudreshwara Swamy Temple

The palace is famous for its sophisticated interior design
which aesthetically appeals to the senses. The palace is
decorated with rare artifacts including life-size oil
paintings of important personas from the Nizam
dynasty, and jade statues.
Falaknuma palace
Makkah Masjid was built during the reign of
Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth Qutb Shahi
Sultan of Golconda (now Hyderabad). The three
arched facades have been carved from a single piece
of granite, which took five years to quarry. More than
8,000 workers were employed to build the mosque.
