The skeletal system supports the body, protects internal organs, provides movement, and stores minerals. There are three types of joints: immovable, slightly movable, and freely movable. The muscular system contains three types of muscle tissue and muscles contract to allow movement. The integumentary system is made up of skin, which acts as a barrier, protects against injury, regulates temperature, removes waste, and protects against sun radiation.
