As in US, budget airlines have dominated the market as travelers are price driven; in Europe, more
local airports are needed to be opened up to let more budget airlines to fly in; in Asia, there are more
opportunities to expand the whole market but the path is not easy, since the market is still dominated
by the national flag carriers. Besides, they are also supported by the cargo business. (Scott Lee, 2004)
Problems Statement: As we can see, budget airlines business not only become a trend over the globe,
but also bring out more travelers and so to extend the economy of our own country or region,
however, there is no budget airline at all currently in Hong Kong, what are the reasons? Few years ago
there was once a low cost carrier Hong Kong Oasis airway which offered long haul low fare was
bankrupted after 18 months of operation, why would that happen? An Malaysian budget airline Air
Asia already developed its third home base in Thailand, meanwhile, there still aren t any budget
airlines setting up in Hong Kong as a home base, why? What are the success factors for a budget
airline to develop? Is there feasibility for a budget airline to set up and form a home base in Hong
Kong?

Process Capability
In general, a process is a way that we combine materials, methodology, tools, and individuals to
product something that has measurable output. This could be a manufactured product or service, and
the measurable property is called process capability. This is sometimes known as process capability
indexing, process performance, or process measurement. Each, though, has two parts: 1) To measure
the variability of the output of a process, and 2) To compare that variability with standardized
benchmarks, specifications, or product tolerances. Of course, the bottom line for measurement is to
improve the process and the ratio approach uses a set of numerical values to keep the product or
service within tolerance levels (Relyea, 2011). In any venue, measurement must be tied to something
specific it is not enough to simply measure as a means to an end, but rather the measurement must
mean something to the end result, the production method, or the service quality. Essentially, if we do
not measure something effectively, we cannot improve it. The reasons for measuring are varied, but
may be noted as: Program effectiveness Decision making Setting goals and objectives Recognize good
or great performance Interceed in time with poor or negligible performance To inform stakeholders To
hold x accountable for y To control and allocate resources To motivate and promote To establish what
is vital from what is important from what is interesting To celebrate, learn, and move forward To

Grand Hotel History
History of the Grand Mr. F.H. Chamberlain built the first Grand Hotel in 1847. It was a long rambling
two story building with 40 rooms. A separate building housed the dining room and kitchen while still
another building held the bar named The Texas after the state ofTexas which, at the time, was separate
from the other states Guests traveled to the hotel by steamboats and docked at what is now the marina
During the Civil War, the 21st Alabama Regiment camped on the hotel grounds and the hotel was used
as a base hospital In 1869 a fire broke out destroying the dining room, kitchen, and guestrooms.
Approximately 150 guests and their personal belongings were saved along with hotel linen and
furniture. However, the names of approximately 300 Union and Confederate Soldiers who died at

Sys. v. Mineral Explorations, 704 P.2d 1266 (Wyo. 1985). The Illinois Supreme Court in Coney v.
J.L.G. Industries, Inc. gave four reasons justifying the retention of joint and several liability:
(1) The feasibility of apportioning fault on a comparative basis does not render an indivisible injury
divisible for purposes of the joint and several liability rule. A concurrent tortfeasor is liable for the
whole of an indivisible injury when his negligence is a proximate cause of that damage. In many
instances, the negligence of a concurrent tortfeasor may be sufficient by itself to cause the entire loss.
The mere fact that it may be possible to assign some percentage figure to the relative culpability of
one negligent defendant as compared to another does not in any way suggest that each defendant s
negligence is not a proximate cause of the entire indivisible injury.
(2) In those instances where the plaintiff is not guilty of negligence, he would be forced to bear a
portion of the loss should one of the tortfeasors prove financially unable to satisfy his share of the
damages.
(3) Even in cases where a plaintiff is partially at fault, his culpability is not equivalent to that of a
defendant. The plaintiff s negligence relates only to a lack of due care for his own safety while the
defendant s negligence relates to a lack of due care for the safety of others; the latter is tortious, but
the former is not.
(4) Elimination of joint and several

Essay about Geology Field Work
The area of Kuncizzjoni and Fomm ir Riħ is found at the edge of the Victoria lines. It lies between a
system of horst and graben. Kuncizzjoni is uplifted on a horst feature, which carries the Victoria lines
that are built across the Great Fault. Alluvial deposits are found in the valleys due to the percolation of
the rain water down to the lowest plains, and because of the high percentage of clay found in the soil.
Clayey soils made the valley an ideal place to terrace fields for agricultural purposes. Consequently,
this leaves little space for natural vegetation to grow. Northwest wind or Mistral is the predominating
wind in the area. A southeast tilt occurs on the Island, distributing most cliffs towards the western side
of Malta and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eventually the rocks will accumulate under the sea to form a boulder field.
Geomorphological Processes
Weathering helped shape the plateau landscape that stretches over Fomm ir riħ, Ras il Pellegrin and
Karraba. Several formations could be observed from Kunċizzjoni. These include: sheer sea cliffs, a rift
valley, clay talus, boulder scree, boulder field, karst and horst graben system. Moreover, a small sandy
beach could be seen below a large clay talus next to Karraba.
Sheer sea cliffs
Sheer sea cliffs formed when the Islands were uplifted due to tectonic activity in the Mediterranean.
Different layers of rock formed during different geological periods and were laid in chronological
order with the oldest layer, Lower coralline limestone, found at the bottom and with the youngest
layer, Upper Coralline limestone, at the top. Greensand and Blue clay are found underneath Upper
Coralline limestone and are relatively soft, brittle layers. The Upper Coralline limestone erodes
vertically to form cliffs and has a Mesa landscape.
Water is the key element that erodes through the layers of rock in cliffs. Water vapour reacts with
gases in the air, such as sulphur dioxide (SO¬¬2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), to form sulphuric acid
(H2SO4) and nitric acid (HNO3), both of which are components of acid rain. The weak acids will in
turn react with limestone which contains calcium

Home Improvement Plan Paper
According to market research and home improvement, trends 53% of homeowners in the US have
done some type of home improvement. Home improvement projects with the most potential to raise
the value of the home range from changing the home s lighting to upgrading flooring, countertops and
cabinets.
The choice of materials, size of the DIY nightmares and big mistakes affect the final cost. Keep in
mind the financial data varies depending on the location within the USA. Costs will always differ

Finding an off brand product for less than 50% is not always a deal. Recognized brands have
warranties and back up the product s quality. That 50% savings could create a DIY nightmare costing
three times more to replace or repair.
Tile Work
Incorrect tile placements are common mistakes for the DIY projects. Wrong positions and gaps are
hard to hide. Start out by working from the center of the space. Working from the center to outside
edge keeps the tile layout looking the same. Only one way to fix this mistake, remove the tile and start
over.
Grouting
There are two types of grout; sanded and unsanded. Sanded grout is used for most home improvement
projects. Unsanded is used for small tile joints, stone or glass tile because the sanded grout can
damage this type of material. Make sure you are using the recommended manufacturer s grout
material; otherwise, you may find yourself replacing the tiles.
DIY Spring Time Big Mistakes

Analysis Of The Poem Blushing
Blushing, Chris tried to deny doing anything special, as did Jenny, but neither of their parents would
hear of it. Knowing how their parents felt and that what they did do was helping was a relief for Jenny,
as well as Chris. Giving their mom and dad one last hug, both turned in early and were soon asleep.
Not long after, Roy and Joanne followed the example and after checking on all three of the kids, went
to bed themselves. Relief spread throughout their bodies at the knowledge that despite the turmoil
going on, Chris and Jenny were doing quite well. For once, all those under the DeSoto s roof slept
peacefully throughout the night.

received was a very shy hi or a nod with a blush. As they continued eating, each person tried not to
look, but couldn t help but glance as Johnny slowly, but surely at his breakfast without prompts. When
given his meds, his face fell, but again, he took them without question. Finding this unusual, Chris and
Jenny looked to their dad for answers.
Shrugging his shoulders with his eyes going wide, Roy indicated that he had no idea why Johnny was
suddenly fine with accepting the food. There could be a host of reasons why; it could just be a
temporary complacency, it could be the anti depressants were working better, it could be he was just
too hungry to care. Deciding that there was too many possibilities and combinations of possibilities,
Roy felt it would be best just to observe Johnny casual. That way, if something was changing
medically, than hopefully he d be able to see it and either convince John to go to Rampart or Doctor

I was thinking about having a family game day, Roy said as casually as possible, glancing at Joanne.

The Importance Of The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a time of great change throughout the world. The industrial revolution
occurred in the late 18th century and first began in Great Britain and soon expanded into Western
Europe and to the united states. This period caused a great impact on the Catholic church and it
changed the way the world manufactured resources. Unfortunately, there was a decline in the
importance of religion to people as they moved towards urbanisation. This caused Pope Leo XIII to
enforce the Catholic social teachings through the encyclical he wrote which was called Rerum
Novarum ( revolutionary change ). In the encyclical, Pope Leo examined the situation of the poor
people and the workers in industrialised countries. He then formed seven important principals that
would guide the response. Industrialisation may have brought about many positive outcomes such as
the increased amount and variety of goods manufactured and improved standards of living (for some
people). However with all these benefits, there has been a result of grim employment and living
conditions for the poor and working class, in summary, the wealthier got wealthier and the poorer got
poorer. The Pope (Pope Leo XII) at the time wrote an encyclical called Rerum Novarum which was
published on May 15th 1891, and was aimed to address the social issues and question the loss of
wealth of the working class.
Before the revolution, all manufacturing was done was done in the peoples homes there was no

The Morning After for Mokuba Kaiba
It is a beautiful Morning in domino city, the sun was shining and birds were singing. People were
making their way to work, chatting on cell phones with business calls, or chatting and gossiping with
friends. Teens and children were chatting with one another on the way to school. For Mokuba Kaiba, it
wasn t such a great morning. He was extremely nervous, because last night Serenity, Joey Wheelers
little sister, had given up her virginity to him. If Seto, his older brother found out he had sex, he would
kill him. As for Joey, he didn t know that Serenity was even dating. He would surely kill Mokuba for
taking his baby sisters virginity. Mokuba swallowed down his nervousness, deciding to at least tell
Joey he made love to his girlfriend. He quickly walked into Domino high school, searching for his
blond hot headed friend. When he spotted him at the lockers, he swallowed his nervousness and
walked up to him. Joey, Can I talk to you about something? He asked nervously. Um sure squirt, what
you want to talk about? Joey obviously had been startled, not expecting Mokuba to appear suddenly. I
do not want Seto to know The raven haired teen informed him. Hearing this, Joey became concerned.
It made him think Mokuba had gotten himself into some real trouble. Okay what is it squirt, are you in
trouble? Mokuba s eyes widened slightly, realizing how it would have looked to his blond friend. No I

An Actor Prepares By Constantin Stanislavski
All I can do is to help you feel what it is. Even to do that requires great patience, for I shall devote our
whole course to it. Or, to be more exact, it will appear by itself after you have studied our whole
system of acting and after you yourselves have made the experiment of initiating, clarifying,
transforming, simple everyday human realities into crystals of artistic truth. Teacher Mr. Tortsov,
teaches his students the fundaments in acting and how to be successful in its art, in Constantin
Stanislavski s eye opening book, An Actor Prepares. Throughout reading his book, I learned three
main lessons: how the outside impression of an actor looks or how the audience perceives them, the
inner motivation and structure of an actor, and lastly, acting is an art and properly portraying a
character through the art form. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An Actor Prepares teaches an actor that everything needs to be justified and motivated. Whether that
be through analyzing the text for overall theme, adaption to responses done by our scene partners or
ensemble, being natural with movements and not mechanical, or working out the overall objective of
the play. Analyzing the text of the play influences the character s motivation. If a character is going
over to another character s house for no reason other than to hang out, then it slows down the pace of
the show down and puts a stop in the energy of the show. Channeling the normal person inside myself,
provides a more relatable character to the audience member. The overall objective of the show
provides a reason or lesson for the whole play. The sooner I, as an actor, understand and determine the
objective, I can better play the character s motivation and drive to what she

Patients With Newly Diagnosed Hypothyroidism And Their...
Patient education. FNP needs to educate patients with newly diagnosed hypothyroidism and their
caregiver if necessary in regards to its disease process, side effect of medications, importance of
compliance and follow up. Hypothyroidism is often a lifelong condition and therefore it is important
to counsel the patient at the point of diagnosis (Roe, 2015). Taking L thyroxine is the main treatment
mechanism; therefore, medication compliance is the one of the most important part in education. The
clinical effect of L thyroxine may include normalizing abnormalities associated with hypothyroidism.
Optimal treatment of hypothyroidism may lead to improvement of various symptoms. In
neuropsychological aspect, patients may show improved motor skills, myopathy and depression. With
treatment, patient s overall energy level may enhance constipation symptoms may improve and weight
problem may lessen if thyroid balance was a main contributor. It has been shown that treatment of
hypothyroidism would also improve lipid profiles in patients (Roe, 2015).
Longstanding hypothyroidism is accompanied by impaired function of nearly all organs and tissues,
and the clinical response to replacement therapy may continue for months. Normally, L thyroxine
administration improves clinical symptoms associated with hypothyroidism without adverse effects.
Rare cases of intolerance which may be caused by reaction to tablet colors or other constituents have

Battle Of Wilson s Creek Essay
THE BATTLE OF WILSON S CREEK
Introduction The Civil War in Missouri began in 1861 with The Battle of Wilson s Creek. On August
10, 1861 Union and Confederate forces clashed in a town southwest of Springfield and struggled
bitterly for control of Missouri in the Civil War s first year.1
History Missouri, with its strategic position on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers was viewed by the
federal government as vital to Union success. This created a unique set of border state politics
between Missouri s residents and its leaders.
In 1861, Missourians could be divided into three political categories, conditional Unionists,
secessionists and unconditional Unionists. The majority of Missourians were conditional Unionists ...

On June 11, 1861 Governor Jackson met with General Lyon in an attempt at compromise. After five
hours with no agreement Lyon declared war against all secessionists within Missouri and started
mobilizing his army. This began a two month campaign to drive the secessionists out of Missouri and
set into motion the events leading up to the Battle of Wilson s Creek.5 Planning/Preparation Lyon,
receiving reinforcements from Kansas, launched attacks that drove the newly formed Missouri State
Guard into the southwestern corner of the state. Battles at Boonville Missouri on June 17 and Carthage
on July 5 started to set the tone for battles to come. By August, more than 7,000 men were in
Springfield Missouri under the command of General Lyon.6 Major General Sterling Price, commander
of the Missouri State Guard, needed help to oppose Lyon s forces in Springfield. He called upon
Confederate commander Ben McCulloch. McCulloch agreed and moved 5,000 men into Missouri.
This proved to be the first invasion of Confederate troops into Union territory. After McCulloch s men
joined Price s they set out for Springfield. During the advance, McCulloch and Price had several

The Office Bully Essay

The Office Bully, by: Hawkins, K.

Some employers may be working with a bully, and not even know it. The Office Bully by Kathryn
Hawkins mentions virtuous points of this concept. The issue with bullies is when you think you have
escaped from them, they can ultimately return and become your boss. Although you may think they
have potentially matured and progressed as people, they are actually still stagnant in an oppressing
manner. In my opinion, they will use whatever power they have against you, especially if they become
your boss. Kathryn Hawkins mentions alerting and effective arguments in this article. She mentions

What I usually tend to look for in an article is facts! The article notes, 13 percent of employees are
currently being bullied in the workplace, while 24 percent have experienced bullying from a coworker
or boss in the past , Bullies aren t always men either: according to the Zogby study, 40 percent of the
bullies reported were women, and more than 70 percent of the time, their targets were other women
(Hawkins, K. 2010) These facts have made the article much more relevant and as a reader we want to
know how reliable an article is, these facts have proven to be true because it is also supported by an
actual experience of a different person.
Opinions are different from facts. Opinions are usually a conclusion reached by someone. I learned
that there are two different opinions. There is the verifiable opinion and the expert opinion. This
article has a bit of both just because with verifiable opinion it can be shown to be true or shown to be
false, but then again you must always attribute them to the person who gave it, Kathryn Hawkins
states, many bullies will continue to emotionally abuse others throughout their lives (Hawkins, K.
2010). An individual cannot generalize and automatically think that many bullies will continue to be
bullies in the future, but this can generally be shown to be true or false. As far as expert opinion, the
personal feelings are put the side and they look at

Sophocles’Antigone Essay
Sophocles Antigone
The character of Antigone in Sophocles play, Antigone, is one of the most controversial tragic
characters in classic literature. The war in her city has torn her family apart, caused the death of both
her brothers, and created a reason for her to fight against the King, her uncle. Her uncle, Creon, makes
a ruling that her brother, Polynices, is not to be buried because he is a traitor, but according to her
religion, her brother s soul will not go to the afterlife until he is buried. In defense of her brother, she
buries his body illegally and is subsequently sentenced to death. With her complex patterns of thought,
bold actions, and the end she encounters, the character of Antigone causes debate among critics as to

According to the History for Kids Organization website, Sophocles also remembers the terrors of war
and barbarism, which can sometimes overcome men and women. He pleads, in his plays, for the
triumph of reason over wild emotion and anger (n/a). As an adult, he was also into politics and worked
alongside such famous ancient politicians as Pericles, Aeschylus, and Herodotus.
Women of Sophocles era in ancient Greek history had very few rights. Their main purpose in life was
to marry and produce sons. They were merely extensions of the men they married since women were
never considered citizens of a city. A woman who was not married and not a virgin could be bought
and sold as a slave. Despite the evident lack of respect for women in their society, however, ancient
Greek artists still made use of women as the main characters in their works. In her essay, From
Tragedy to Hierarchy and Back Again: Women in Greek Political Thought, Arlene W. Saxonhouse
states that women in Greek tragedy are meant to help question the norms of the patriarchal society
because Greek men, confronted with a women hero, are forced to see that they in fact need women to
exist, annulling their right to complete dominance over society (404). Antigone is no exception to this
statement. In her fight to rescue her brother from a restless soul, Antigone also helps bring out the
issues of male chauvinism and sexism in

Two Theory Of Wellbeing
The first theory of well being is the mental state theory. This theory argues that one s mental state is
the sole source of their wellbeing, regardless of the actual content of their life. A subtype of the mental
state theory is welfare hedonism. This view posits that wellbeing comes from the amount of pleasure
one experiences in their life. By adding up the amount of pleasure one experiences and subtracting the
pain they experience, one is able to calculate their total wellbeing . There are different subtypes of
hedonism, from psychological to ethical hedonism. Additionally, quantitative hedonists argue that all
pleasures are equally valuable, where qualitative hedonists argue that some things create a state of
higher or better pleasure than others. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This theory argues that wellbeing comes from the actualization of one s preferences in their life. These
theorists argue that it does not matter what one prefers or desires out of their life or the universe. All
that matters is that these preferences or desires are satisfied. For example, if someone desires to live in
a certain country, then moving there will satisfy their preference and therefore lead to individual well
being. Preference theorists are categorized into ideal preference theorists and actual preference
theorists. Ideal theorists differentiate one s current desires with their ideal ones, or the desires they
would have in a perfect universe Actual preference theorists believe that whether or not one s desires
are irrational, misinformed, or harmful is irrelevant. These theorists argue that no matter what,
actualization leads to

Process of Adoption
It is a pretty safe bet to say that everyone knows what adoption is; it is also pretty safe to say that
everyone knows, or at least knows of, someone who is adopted. However, I would definitely think
twice before that people would know what was involved in the process of adoption. From the time I
was a young girl, I have always thought that I would adopt a child, since being an adopted from South
Korea. My mother had always told me about the long process it took for me to be adopted. She had
always mentioned that adopting a child was for the best, especially from a different country because it

Even if you receive some type of assistance, you are still eligible to adopt as long as you have an
adequate resources to provide for your family (Adoption). The other requirements are to be expected:
interviews, personal history, background check, and references. The majority of the children awaiting
adoption are not simply sitting in institutions with little human contact and no sense of family. Most
children waiting to be adopted are in foster care. Foster care provides temporary placement in a family
setting. Over 500,000 children in the U.S. currently reside in some form of foster care (Foster). This is
not to say that there are over 500,000 children waiting for adoptive parents. Actually, the number
needing to be adopted ends up being much lower. Two out of three children who enter foster care are
reunited with their birth parents within two years. A significant number, however, can spend long
periods of time in care awaiting adoption or other permanent arrangement (Foster).
Making decisions about the future for a child in foster care can be difficult and controversial. Options
include: returning the child to his/her birth parents; termination of parental rights (a formal legal
procedure) to be followed, hopefully, by adoption; or long term care with foster parents or relatives.
Most states encourage efforts to provide the birth parents with support and needed services (e.g.

Prisons Ineffective In Prisons
Canadian prisons are ineffective at rehabilitating inmates due to overcrowded conditions and failure of
proper preparation of reintegration into society. Overcrowding is when more people are placed into a
confined space, than it can actually hold. Factors that lead to the cause of failure in the correctional
system consist of gender biases, cultural biases, and the lack of rehabilitative resources/social support.
Mandatory minimum sentencing and substance abuse also play a role in increased incarceration rates.
When a crime is committed, the offender is taken to court where a judge will determine if the offender
is innocent or guilty. If the offender is found guilty, the penalties may include the following;
community service, a fine, or incarceration for a certain amount of time depending on the severity of
the crime committed. The purpose of the Canadian prison system is to serve justice to both society,
and the law breaker. Justice is served to society by punishing criminals with isolation from society at
large. The criminal is served justice through receiving rehabilitation in order to successfully
reintegrate into society, once released from incarceration. The focus of Canadian prisons should first
be in rehabilitating its inmates, and punishment should be its secondary focus. However, punishment
seems to be the prime focus and prison sentences have become more of a standard solution, rather
than an option. Simply because it is easier and more effective.

Jap A Dominant Country Conducting Whaling Practices
I. Introduction:
For many decades, Japan is well known as a dominant country conducting whaling practices for many
purposes such as obtaining whale meat and oil (Facts about Japan, n.d.). Whaling has been one of the
most important industry in Japan since the WW II post war that provides huge amount of protein and
helps fed Japanese citizens (Animal Planet, n.d.). It is believed that the coastal villages were where
hunting whales was first claimed to take place in shore with hand thrown harpoons, but it was not the
main interest of many people (Whalingmuseum, n.d.). It was not until the 17th century that whaling
industry had a dramatic development due to an invention of hunting in groups of boats using net

1. Social:
It is evident that whaling practices can lead to a reduction in the population of whales, ecosystem
degradation, and even cause the species to the brink of extinction (International Whaling Commission,
n.d.). The main factors causing the problem are over exploitation, disturbance from whaling vessels,
entanglement in fishing gears, and environmental factors (International Whaling Commission, n.d.).
According to the WDC (n.d.), more than 36,700 whales were killed after the 1986 moratorium in
which Japan accounted for nearly 20,000 whales. The International Whaling Commission (n.d.)
reported that the common whales hunted by Japanese, which are Minke, Fin, Sei, Sperm, Bryde s and
Humpback whales, were severely exploited and depleting in terms of population in the Japanese
whaling grounds before the 1986 moratorium. In addition, the operation of whaling fleets apparently
causing noise pollution affecting the communication process of whales and other marine species as
well (Lian Lu, n.d.). Whales are one of the top level animals in the marine food chain, therefore, a
decline in whale population definitely have an impact on the marine ecosystem. Lian and Lu (n.d.),
have said that whale s dead body is a great source of food for the marine animals in a lower depth of
the ocean. Thus, the more whales killed by whaling practices, the less food for others sea creatures and
organisms (Lian Lu, n.d.). Also, nutrients in

B2C and B2B Marketing Comparison
B2C and B2B Marketing Comparison Marketing ultimately depends on who you are delivering your
message to. With Business to Business (B2B), an organization has to know the businesses needs, its
current situation, competitors, trends, technology and costs. Business to Commerce (B2C) is also
about knowing who you re selling to. You have to know their wants and needs, your competition,
distribution, supply chains and costs. Often, B2B sites are more informational and technical. There is
less branding, or at least a different kind. It is not so much an emotional connection as an intellectual
connection. B2C sites are more entertainment. They often change with promotions and products, and

For example, a vice president of manufacturing does not clip a coupon and order a $45,000 machine
by mail. He would first ask the selling organization for an informative brochure. Then a sales meeting
would occur if the buying organization is slightly interested. Then a demonstration would be the
beginning of a 30 day trial period for the buying organization. If the buyer is satisfied then a proposal
or contract would be conjured up. Therefore, it is not a single piece of advertisement that wins a pricey
contract. It takes a series of letters, brochures, presentations, ads, and mailers combined with the
efforts of sales associates to find a steady paying customer that will contribute to organizational
longevity. When considering to buy personal hygiene items or groceries, now one consults with a team
on the purchase. In almost all B2C selling situations, the purchase decision is made by an individual.
But a business purchase is usually a team effort with many experts involved. Because of this reason, a
business purchase is hardly an impulse buy. There are many influences involved with the decision
such as the purchasing agent and company president, to technical professionals and customers. Each
of these reviewers has different concerns and criteria by which they judge the product or service. In
order to make a successful purchase, all of the reviewer s standards must be met. Overall, in order to
succeed, business owners must attract and retain a growing base of

Building A Wireless Infrastructure Backbone System
Introduction
Currently much importance is given to optimizing business without affecting the production and
process. When a new distribution centre s build or an existing one is being upgraded with a warehouse
management system, a wireless network structure should be provided which need to be regarded as
the integral part of the process. This is an important part because connection issues may arise due to
lack in connectivity without wireless connection. Eventually this will impact the data collection
capabilities from other floors, mostly form the ground to top floor (Lu, W., Giannikas, V., McFarlane,
D., Hyde, J. (2014). A wireless network infrastructure building starts with a design and then with a
map which will describe the mapping of the wireless access points. It also needs to create a plan for
installing the cable which will run throughout the distribution centre. The reason behind this planning
is to build a wireless infrastructure backbone that will be implemented and which can have the
capability to support the whole planning in the distribution centre. To get proper wireless signals
throughout the premises a well planning of the wireless system is essential along with successful
implementation.
Planning and Implementation

elements and components which need to be taken care of while project implementation. Plenty of dos

Go Set A Watchman Compare And Contrast
Harper Lee is the author of a very beloved book known as To Kill a Mockingbird. This book resonates
with us because it brings issues into the light that, at the time, were difficult to discuss. To Kill a
Mockingbird, is incredibly different from her other book newer novel Go Set a Watchman. She
originally wrote Go Set a Watchman, and then it was her publisher that told her the story would have a
greater impact if set from a younger Scout s perspective. How the publisher was able to see the
potential that the story had, I find to be fascinating. Personally, I did not enjoy Go Set a Watchman
like I did To Kill a Mockingbird. I feel that this is partly due to the order of how we read the books. It
is the same scenario as it was when we read the novel first then watched the movie with To Kill a

different techniques. I do not know how much we would have enjoyed reading Go Set a Watchman

Yeast Fermentation Lab
For this experiment, a scientist will be determining whether or not yeast can ferment polysaccharides
as efficiently as disaccharides. The scientist believes yeast will not ferment polysaccharides as
efficiently as disaccharides because yeast is specifically used to ferment disaccharides such as sucrose
and maltose while bacteria ferment polysaccharides such as cellulose and glucose. The experiment
that the scientist will be conducting will show how the rate of yeast fermentation depends on the
enzymes the yeast possess to hydrolyze the disaccharides and polysaccharides.
The scientist began by researching what fermentation actually is. Fermentation is the breakdown of
various substances by yeast or bacteria. During the process of fermentation, sugars are converted into
organic acids or alcohol. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similarly, maltose and cellulose are fermented by yeast through respiration of the yeast cells. The
process of fermentation is beneficial because it produces enzymes that are good for the human body,
Vitamin B, fatty acids such as Omega 3 and probiotics. Fermentation also helps with digestion
because it breaks down foods into a more digestible form (Wellness Mama).
Previous experiments conducted with yeast cells have revealed that the rate of fermentation is affected
by substrate concentration and enzyme concentration. However, this experiment will investigate the
effects of two different disaccharides and one polysaccharide on fermentation, while maintaining
constant substrate and enzyme concentrations.
The concentrations being used are maltose, cellulose, and sucrose. Maltose and sucrose are
disaccharides. Disaccharides are any class of sugars that are made up of two monosaccharides.
Sucrose is a component of cane sugar and maltose is the sugar created when starch is broken down.
Cellulose is a polysaccharide because it is a carbohydrate that has sugar molecules bonded

Sound Recording In Canada
Sound Recording in Canada, not regulated by the Government
Introduction
Sound recording was initially invented in 1857 by Edouard Leon Scott de Martinville. The
development of sound recording has gone through multiple stages to become what it is today. From

Broadcasting is $14 billion industry that includes radio and television, as well as the distribution
services of cable, satellite, and, increasingly the Internet and mobile devices (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer
218). The Canadian government regulates broadcasting because it serves national, cultural, and
political goals (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 219). The reason for comparing regulations between sound
recording and broadcasting is the fact that a great proportion of radio broadcasting is recorded music.
There is a significant symbiosis between radio broadcast policy and policies designed to encourage the
production and dissemination of Canadian music (Gasher, Skinenr, Lorimer 225). Radio broadcasters
are required to have a license in order to broadcast music through their channel. The Canadian Radio
television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) is in charge of issuing these licenses to
broadcasters. Today, the CRTC s duties in the broadcasting field include: issuing and renewing
licenses, up to a maximum of seven years, modifying existing license conditions, and suspending or
revoking licenses (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 221). It is evident that the use of sound recordings within
the field of broadcasting is strictly regulated. This further develops an idea that the sound recording
industry will become regulated within the future, as it is present in such a vast

Intellectual property is defined as a work or invention that is the result of creativity, such as a

Apple has succeeded in winning a lawsuit against Samsung. This patent war between the two leading
smart phone companies, ended up in Samsung having to pay apple more than $1bn in damages. This is

Samsungs steady increase of market share, would takeover Apple in the long term, and so by filing
such a lawsuit, Apple would put a halt to this.
Mysteriously, the question of Is it possible for Apple and Samsung to work hand in hand? arises. To
begin with, these two companies have been enemies for a long period of time. Apple has always been
looking for ways to trap Samsung, and Samsung has been trying to create better technology then
Apple. These two companies, especially Apple seem to have extreme hatred going on between them. It
can be seen that they closely watch each other s steps looking for gaps and mistakes to complain
about. These two companies are some of the top Smartphone companies, contributing in fierce
competition, each hurrying to bring out the latest technology. In addition, Apple has filed another
lawsuit after the current one, showing a fierce battle. This could conclude that there is no way that
these two companies can be seen working together, as both of them want to be winners. But if these
two companies were to walk together hand in hand, one of them would have to give in to the other. As
Apple has won the patent lawsuit, Samsung could not only pay the damages caused, but they could
bring in a settlement of shared profits. This is where Samsung would still be allowed to sell its
technology, and Apple would own the intellectual property rights. Samsung could either pay a

Compare And Contrast Star Wars A New Hope And The Outsiders
Star Wars: A New Hope and The Outsiders are not as different as most might expect. The pair of

these stories were originally books, before being adapted into movies. The Hero s Journey follows a

Star Wars: A New Hope, directed by George Lucas, is one of the most famous movies of all time,

challenges that are very much alike.
The Known World that both characters experience is more analogous than some might think, when
comparing an alien planet to rural Oklahoma. The Known World, being the first step in the hero s
journey, allows the audience to get to know the character and understand their personality and
qualities in depth. Luke Skywalker lives with his uncle and aunt, as he always has. Ponyboy

None Of The Above Gender Analysis
I feel like Krissy: How Intersectionality enables None of the Above to Challenge the Sex and Gender
Binary Christina Elko Dr. Slater English Seminar I
In I. W. Gregorio s novel, None of the Above, Krissy is diagnosed with AIS; androgen insensitivity
syndrome. Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, more commonly called AIS, is a genetic condition. It is
not a disease, or an infection, although for years those who demonstrate characteristics relating to this
condition have been degraded in public. She feels pressured through the gender rules that others have
placed on her, and is conflicted with her own gender identity. I argue that this text opposes the gender
binary, and challenges ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This novel inherently queers the idea of normality by challenging the unstated norm. The idea of
normality is a social constructed idea, based upon the concepts that there is an inherent normal .
Normal is synonymous with expected, or conforming to a standard. However, when we analyze
gender and sex, we come to the realization that there is no standard, yet society finds comfort in the
usual male/female dynamic. Krissy s normal is that she has always been an athlete, and while always
feminine in nature, was never overtly feminine or sexual. She was well liked by many of her
classmates and so was Sam, who was also a three sport athlete. They were members of the popular
crowd in school, which is demonstrated when Krissy and her boyfriend win Homecoming King and
Queen in the beginning of the novel. After Homecoming, Krissy and Sam are in a limo, and Sam
convinces the driver to stop for a little in a parking lot, and Krissy has already decided that this would
be this night she lost her virginity. After a while, Krissy began to experience large amounts of pain,
and Sam stopped. They proceeded to go home, and Krissy made an appointment with an ob gyn for
the next day, where she discovers that she is

1.1 Explain The Difference Between Sequence Of Development...
Explain the difference between sequence of development and rate of development and why the
difference is important.
All Children follow very similar pattern of growth and development. For e.g. Physical development
begins with baby holding its head followed by turning over, crawling, sitting and eventually walking
by the age of 12 18months. Most children follow these steps of physical development, some start
walking before their first birthday while some may start walking independently when they are
18months old or even later. Similarly, communicational development begins when baby cries to seek
attention or convey discomfort, then gradually responds carer with sounds like coo , ooh , etc. At the
age of 9months child starts saying simple words like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It Is important to understand why the child is not developing like other children in case a milestone is
not achieved by the expected age. Delays in one aspect can have a domino effect on the other
development. Communicational delays affect many aspects of life. If a child continues babbling or
stammering, he/she could be targeted by peers, get bullied or made fun of. This affects child s social
and emotional development. If a child s motor skills are not developed then he/she could face
problems with writing, handling equipment and other motor skills. Sequence of development also
guides professional at what rate an individual development is expected. If a milestone is not achieved,
then they have to identify the causes of delays. In learning environment professionals can device an
individual support plan to help the child develop and reach full potentials.
The individual support plan is prepared, followed and monitored by specialists, teachers and teaching
assistants depending on the reasons of delays.
Following are some ways in which development can be supported by teachers and teaching

Steven Spielberg began as an unknown prodigy, and today, is well known as the most commercially
successful director of all time. Steven Spielberg is a world famous director. He has directed and
produced many films. With some of his films being criticized, many are still considered as no less than
pure art. Steven is known for his unique and undeniably creative works and masterpieces. Though,

was raised by his parents, Arnold Spielberg and Leah Adler. He spent most of his childhood being
raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where he became interested in ametuer film making. As Steven grew
older, his obsession and interest in film and directing also grew. With his first 8 millimeter film at the
age of 12, he grew up with his interest in film. Just a year later, he won a contest for 40 minute film he
created, titled Escape to Nowhere. At 16, Spielberg directed a 140 minute film titled Firelight. Little

Dante,Circles, And Characters In Dante Alighieri
Dante Alighieri was a major Italian poet of the Late Middle Ages, he was born into a family with a
complex involvement in the Florence political scene. In the Dante Alighieri s epic poem The Inferno,
Dante, the protagonist, witnesses the Circles of Hell, guided by Virgil the character representing
Human Reason. Alighieri shows compassion towards different sinners in Hell, which provides an
insight on the way he feels about people who do not repent. Although they are illustrated as good
people by the poet, they are punished within the different circles of Hell because they did not cleanse
themselves of sin. Through the uses of diction, actions of Dante and Virgil, and imagery, Alighieri was
able to show readers he felt compassion towards Farinata Degli Uberti, Pier Delle Vigne, and Count
Ugliono.
Alighieri shows compassion towards a sinner in the Sixth Circle named Farinata Degli Uberti, through
the use of diction and actions of Virgil and Dante. Farinata Degli Uberti is one of the damned who is
punished for Heresy, a person who believed that the soul dies with the body, denying life after death.
As a Heretic, his body is exhumed and burned in a tomb endlessly. When Virgil and Dante get to this
Circle, they speak to Farinata Uberti which allows for his body to rise from the tomb in order to speak
to them, Erect, he rose above the flame, great chest, great figure,... (Canto X, lines 34 35). Here Dante
describes him as great chest and great figure both emphasizing the

Periodontitis Essay
Periodontitis is defined as an inflammatory disease of the supporting tissues of the teeth caused by
specific microorganisms or groups of specific microorganisms, resulting in progressive destruction of
the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone with pocket formation, recession or both. 1 Periodontal
diseaseisan ubiquitous infection in humans displaying the classic hallmarks of the inflammatory
response. Late sequelaeof periodontal diseases are the loss of alveolar bone,,mobile teeth leading to a
demolished periodontium. Therefore, earlier detection and treatment leads to improved outcomes for
patients.2
The main transgressors in Periodontal diseases are gram negative bacteria that elicit a host response,
which cause an aftermath of osseous and soft tissue destruction. The host response plays the role of a
second fiddle through mediators like proteinases, cytokines and prostaglandins causing severe tissue
loss.2 Cytokines are the linchpins in mediating numerous biological activities including proliferation,
development, differentiation, homeostasis, regeneration, repair and inflammation. ... Show more

Furthermore, IL Iβ can initiate its own gene expression in a variety of cells. Periodontal ligament and
gingival fibroblasts challenged with IL 1β in vitro release PGE2 in a dose dependent manner and
secrete collagenase and matrix metalloproteinase. IL Iβ causes the levels of cyclooxygetiase 2(COX 2)
mRNA toescalate and may increase the stability of COX 2 in vivo. The higher tissue COX levels
induced by IL 1β may in part explain the higher levels of arachadonic acid metabolite PGE2
consistently observed in the gingival crevicular fluid of patients with periodontitis

Homeschooling Advantages
Is homeschooling the better option? Sure, it may not be for everyone. Maybe the disadvantages
intimidate you. However, each decision we make, as parents, has at least one disadvantage. We must
decide whether the advantages outweigh the cost. Therefore, before you jump to conclusions, let s take
into consideration some of the benefits homeschooling can offer. Homeschooling is more cost
effective. Homeschooling provides many benefits such as the elimination of bullying, better test
scores, children can work at their own pace, and families have more time together.
Homeschooling is more cost effective than sending children to public schools. In my area for students
who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch, the price for each school year, per child, is $423 based
on a 180 day school year. School supplies aren t cheap; according to the article Mommy Edition,
schools usually send home a list of mandatory supplies that will be kept at the end of the year (2017).
The cost of school pictures and year books can be anywhere between $25 and $100 per child. Then
there are activities such as sports, clubs, and field trips. My parents despised the day I brought home a
fundraiser packet. Public schools push this on parents because children see the prizes not the prices.
One year I sold candy for a school fundraiser. My brother and I ended up eating more than I sold, and
this left my parents having to pay $156 for what was missing. Otherwise, my grade card would have
been withheld.

  • 4. Process Capability In general, a process is a way that we combine materials, methodology, tools, and individuals to product something that has measurable output. This could be a manufactured product or service, and the measurable property is called process capability. This is sometimes known as process capability indexing, process performance, or process measurement. Each, though, has two parts: 1) To measure the variability of the output of a process, and 2) To compare that variability with standardized benchmarks, specifications, or product tolerances. Of course, the bottom line for measurement is to improve the process and the ratio approach uses a set of numerical values to keep the product or service within tolerance levels (Relyea, 2011). In any venue, measurement must be tied to something specific it is not enough to simply measure as a means to an end, but rather the measurement must mean something to the end result, the production method, or the service quality. Essentially, if we do not measure something effectively, we cannot improve it. The reasons for measuring are varied, but may be noted as: Program effectiveness Decision making Setting goals and objectives Recognize good or great performance Interceed in time with poor or negligible performance To inform stakeholders To hold x accountable for y To control and allocate resources To motivate and promote To establish what is vital from what is important from what is interesting To celebrate, learn, and move forward To ... Industries, Inc. gave four reasons justifying the retention of joint and several liability: (1) The feasibility of apportioning fault on a comparative basis does not render an indivisible injury divisible for purposes of the joint and several liability rule. A concurrent tortfeasor is liable for the whole of an indivisible injury when his negligence is a proximate cause of that damage. In many instances, the negligence of a concurrent tortfeasor may be sufficient by itself to cause the entire loss. The mere fact that it may be possible to assign some percentage figure to the relative culpability of one negligent defendant as compared to another does not in any way suggest that each defendant s negligence is not a proximate cause of the entire indivisible injury. (2) In those instances where the plaintiff is not guilty of negligence, he would be forced to bear a portion of the loss should one of the tortfeasors prove financially unable to satisfy his share of the damages. (3) Even in cases where a plaintiff is partially at fault, his culpability is not equivalent to that of a defendant. The plaintiff s negligence relates only to a lack of due care for his own safety while the defendant s negligence relates to a lack of due care for the safety of others; the latter is tortious, but the former is not. Kuncizzjoni is uplifted on a horst feature, which carries the Victoria lines that are built across the Great Fault. Alluvial deposits are found in the valleys due to the percolation of the rain water down to the lowest plains, and because of the high percentage of clay found in the soil. Clayey soils made the valley an ideal place to terrace fields for agricultural purposes. Consequently, this leaves little space for natural vegetation to grow. Greensand and Blue clay are found underneath Upper Coralline limestone and are relatively soft, brittle layers. The Upper Coralline limestone erodes vertically to form cliffs and has a Mesa landscape. Water is the key element that erodes through the layers of rock in cliffs. Water vapour reacts with gases in the air, such as sulphur dioxide (SO¬¬2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), to form sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and nitric acid (HNO3), both of which are components of acid rain. • 10. The Importance Of The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution was a time of great change throughout the world. The industrial revolution occurred in the late 18th century and first began in Great Britain and soon expanded into Western Europe and to the united states. This period caused a great impact on the Catholic church and it changed the way the world manufactured resources. Unfortunately, there was a decline in the importance of religion to people as they moved towards urbanisation. This caused Pope Leo XIII to enforce the Catholic social teachings through the encyclical he wrote which was called Rerum Novarum ( revolutionary change ). In the encyclical, Pope Leo examined the situation of the poor people and the workers in industrialised countries. He then formed seven important principals that would guide the response. Industrialisation may have brought about many positive outcomes such as the increased amount and variety of goods manufactured and improved standards of living (for some people). However with all these benefits, there has been a result of grim employment and living conditions for the poor and working class, in summary, the wealthier got wealthier and the poorer got poorer. The Pope (Pope Leo XII) at the time wrote an encyclical called Rerum Novarum which was published on May 15th 1891, and was aimed to address the social issues and question the loss of wealth of the working class. This article has a bit of both just because with verifiable opinion it can be shown to be true or shown to be false, but then again you must always attribute them to the person who gave it, Kathryn Hawkins states, many bullies will continue to emotionally abuse others throughout their lives (Hawkins, K. 2010). Foster care provides temporary placement in a family setting. Over 500,000 children in the U.S. currently reside in some form of foster care (Foster). This is not to say that there are over 500,000 children waiting for adoptive parents. Actually, the number needing to be adopted ends up being much lower. • 29. Prisons Ineffective In Prisons Canadian prisons are ineffective at rehabilitating inmates due to overcrowded conditions and failure of proper preparation of reintegration into society. Overcrowding is when more people are placed into a confined space, than it can actually hold. Factors that lead to the cause of failure in the correctional system consist of gender biases, cultural biases, and the lack of rehabilitative resources/social support. Mandatory minimum sentencing and substance abuse also play a role in increased incarceration rates. When a crime is committed, the offender is taken to court where a judge will determine if the offender is innocent or guilty. If the offender is found guilty, the penalties may include the following; community service, a fine, or incarceration for a certain amount of time depending on the severity of the crime committed. The purpose of the Canadian prison system is to serve justice to both society, and the law breaker. Justice is served to society by punishing criminals with isolation from society at large. The criminal is served justice through receiving rehabilitation in order to successfully reintegrate into society, once released from incarceration. The focus of Canadian prisons should first be in rehabilitating its inmates, and punishment should be its secondary focus. However, punishment seems to be the prime focus and prison sentences have become more of a standard solution, rather than an option. Simply because it is easier and more effective. ... When a new distribution centre s build or an existing one is being upgraded with a warehouse management system, a wireless network structure should be provided which need to be regarded as the integral part of the process. This is an important part because connection issues may arise due to lack in connectivity without wireless connection. The reason for comparing regulations between sound recording and broadcasting is the fact that a great proportion of radio broadcasting is recorded music. Mysteriously, the question of Is it possible for Apple and Samsung to work hand in hand? arises. To begin with, these two companies have been enemies for a long period of time. Apple has always been looking for ways to trap Samsung, and Samsung has been trying to create better technology then Apple. These two companies, especially Apple seem to have extreme hatred going on between them. It can be seen that they closely watch each other s steps looking for gaps and mistakes to complain about. These two companies are some of the top Smartphone companies, contributing in fierce competition, each hurrying to bring out the latest technology. In addition, Apple has filed another lawsuit after the current one, showing a fierce battle. This could conclude that there is no way that these two companies can be seen working together, as both of them want to be winners. But if these two companies were to walk together hand in hand, one of them would have to give in to the other. As Apple has won the patent lawsuit, Samsung could not only pay the damages caused, but they could bring in a settlement of shared profits. This is where Samsung would still be allowed to sell its technology, and Apple would own the intellectual property rights. Samsung could either pay a monthly fee to Apple for using the patent, or Apple would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 47. Homeschooling Advantages Is homeschooling the better option? Sure, it may not be for everyone. Maybe the disadvantages intimidate you. However, each decision we make, as parents, has at least one disadvantage. We must decide whether the advantages outweigh the cost. Therefore, before you jump to conclusions, let s take into consideration some of the benefits homeschooling can offer. Homeschooling is more cost effective. Homeschooling provides many benefits such as the elimination of bullying, better test scores, children can work at their own pace, and families have more time together. Homeschooling is more cost effective than sending children to public schools. In my area for students who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch, the price for each school year, per child, is $423 based on a 180 day school year. School supplies aren t cheap; according to the article Mommy Edition, schools usually send home a list of mandatory supplies that will be kept at the end of the year (2017). The cost of school pictures and year books can be anywhere between $25 and $100 per child. Then there are activities such as sports, clubs, and field trips. My parents despised the day I brought home a fundraiser packet. Public schools push this on parents because children see the prizes not the prices. One year I sold candy for a school fundraiser. My brother and I ended up eating more than I sold, and this left my parents having to pay $156 for what was missing. Otherwise, my grade card would have been withheld. ...
