Target Market Of Pepsi
Target Market
To identify the target consumers, companies must divide the market into groups with distinct needs
and preferences before identifying which segment to target (Kotler Keller, 2017). The target market
for PepsiCo products is the population aged between 13 and 45 years. Since this population mostly
comprises of young people, Pepsi sells its products in restaurants, schools, colleges, fast food stores,
and other places that this target market frequents.
The segmentation of PepsiCo is as follows:
1. Geographic According to Kotler and Keller (2012), geographical segmentation involves dividing
the market into smaller geographical units like regions, states, nations or neighborhoods. For PepsiCo,
its market is not highly geographically segmented as people from any geographical unit can purchase
its products. The company markets and sells its products both domestically and internationally
through its six recognized segments or regions including: Frito Lay North America, Quaker Foods
North America, North America Beverages, Latin America, Europe and Sib Saharan Africa, and Asia,
Middle East and North Africa regions. While the company targets both urban and rural areas, it makes
more sales in big cities that are densely populated.
2. Demographic This divides the market on the basis of age, income, gender, income, occupation,
religion and other demographic factors. In terms of age, Pepsi s target market are the youth and middle
aged people within the age bracket of

Gender Is A Social Aspect Essay
Gender has always been around, but it has caused confusion for some about the true meaning, through
this, two perspectives have come to light. Those who believe that gender is something that you are
born with, your biological self that differentiates you from your opposite (male/female). Then there
are those who believe that gender is a social constructed aspect of ones life. What your parents and
society label you the minute you are born. Examples being a girl wears pink, a boy wears blue. These
colours are a significant symbol of assigning one a gender, for if they do not wear those colours (in
some instances) then people will not be able to distinguish them this generally shown in a newborn
babies case. Through a socially constructed perspective, certain ways of living are formed for each
persons gender, in olden day New Zealand, women, at a certain point in time were assumed to stay at
home, with the children and be good wives. Whereas men were to be in the labour force, whether it be
working class, or in the higher areas of parliament. This was all up until the mid 1800s were the first
wave feminism came into act.
There are many aspects within a persons educational life, that can affect them greatly, gender being
one of them. Depending on the job, a persons gender can hold major implications to their progression
in that area. In modern day, gender still holds a major impact on a persons life, especially if they are
females. All over the world there is still clear

Caacioppo s Effect On Relationships
Macondo s isolation was a result of the actions of one person. Like in all situations every action had
its effects. The trend toward greater isolation was set in motion by a new cultural focus on the
individual (Cacioppo 53). Society has been changing so rapidly that human relationships seem to get
lost in the process. Human relationships are based on the quality of these relationships, or the effect it
has on those in the relationship. In Cacioppo s book, Loneliness: Human Nature and the Need for
Social Connection, he includes an excerpt from an email. Within this email it says, I remember the
year eye contact stopped. It was not some big demographic shift. People just seemed to give up on
relating to each other . This happened several ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Culture is defined by a community, it shapes the aspirations, how success is defined, the resources
available to the people within. This further effects the beliefs and behaviors of the individuals.
Societies where isolation is normalized cause the people within them to be more solitary and unable to
maintain relationships (Cacioppo 74). When people are no longer able to maintain relationships, they
turn to other forms of interaction. Cacioppo writes about the substitution of human interaction. The
kind of connections pets, computers we substitute for human contact are called parasocial
relationships ... Is an effective way to fill the void when connection with other humans, face to face, is
thwarted (Cacioppo 256). This is exactly what happens to Jose Arcadio Buendia. In the process of
trying to learn more about science and modern inventions, he distances himself from his family and
those around him. This phenomenon is caused by a deprivation that is common within the society. As
time progresses, cultures solidify their social structure as well as what is expected of the people
within. This often causes pressure on the people to conform to a certain way of life. In the case of
Macondo, the characters are forced to conform to a life of solitude. Cacioppo writes, As cultures
encompass more variety in their mores, the absence of narrowly defined and rigidly enforced
standards places even more of a burden on the brain executive function...This is where the
developmental plasticity of humans provided us with an evolutionary opportunity, and, once again,
where the interference effects caused by loneliness can create additional burdens (Cacioppo 188).
Creativity and individuality gives people the opportunity to evolve and create a new standard of
living. With this increase in creativity, there is also an increase in problems of the mental and physical

Composite Essay
1.1 Definition
The terminology composites extensively advert to a material system composed of the following:
A discrete constituent ( reinforcement)
A continuous phase(Matrix).
Thus, generally a composite can be termed as a material composed of a discrete constituent distributed
in a continuous phase and derives its distinguishing characteristics form the properties of the
constituents , from the spatial shape and the design of the constituents, and from the properties of the
interfaces between different constituents.
1.2 Classification Composites on the basis of the physical or chemical nature of the matrix phase are
usually classified as:
Metal Matrix Composites (MMC s)
Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC s)
Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC s)
1.2.1 Metal Matrix Composites (MMC s): Metal matrix composite structure is specifically the term for
metal alloy and the material in the form of strengthening. The matrix is percolating soft part
commonly having exquisitely the following :
2. Tensile strength
3. Hardness
4. Ductility
5. Thermal conductivity
6. Toughness For metal matrix light metal composite materials are stirred with light metal alloys. For
the purpose of solidification powder alloys conferred mainly for the production of metal matrix.
1.2.2 Polymer Matrix Composited (PMC s) : These are particulate composites fibered by dispersing
the particles of varied geometry, layered composites build up with parallel layers of two

Aum Shinrikyo Religious Group Case Study
The 1995 Sarin Attacks on the Japanese Subway System by Aum Shinrikyo exposed the need of
improving the Japanese Intelligence database, emergency management and training for emergency
services.
On March 20, 1995 at approximately 0600 hours, members of the Aum Shinrikyo religious group
launched one of the most deadly attacks Japanese citizens had seen since WWII. The attacks were
conducted by members of the Aum Shinrikyo religious group lead by Shoko Asahara, who was the
founder of the religious group. The members of Aum Shinrikyo were targeting mass casualties to
show their dissatisfaction with the Japanese Government. Five members of the Aum Shinrikyo
religious group managed to conduct the attack by depositing Sarin, which is a nerve agent, classified
as a weapon of mass destruction. (Chemical weapons 101: Six facts about sarin and Syria s stockpile),
into plastic bags and covering them with newspapers to avoid unwanted attention, then they
transported them into different trains, attempting to kill as many people possible. After the members of
Aum Shinrikyo religious group entered into the trains, they dropped the plastics bags to the ground
and managed to make holes in the plastic bags with the tip of umbrellas they were carrying, then they
exited the car. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ella Was Born On The Jungle
Ella was born on August 23, 2008. She lives in Calgary, AB. Ella enjoys arts and crafts, swimming,
and playing the violin. She has a dog named Zoe, whom she loves playing with and taking for walks.
Rylin heard a bird tweet as he stepped into the jungle. Rylin had long brown hair. He wore a grey T
shirt and red shorts. The jungle was very quiet. But on the other hand, Rylin was very loud. The jungle
had all types of plants growing. To name a few, there were daffodils, blueberries, and roses.
As he was walking, he heard something in the bushes. Maybe it s just a bunny? thought Rylin. Just
then, a jaguar jumped out! Ahh! shouted Rylin.

I took a deep breath and followed the smell, which led me to a chocolate pyramid, which I recognized
as the one I got while trick or treating.
Then I noticed I was holding my bag of candy. I wanted to taste the chocolate, so I broke off a piece
and ate it.
Right after I finished, mummies jumped out of the hole of the pyramid. I was too stunned to move, so
I tossed some candy. They stopped running towards me and darted for the candy. I ran away, but
another group of mummies came darting towards me. I threw the leftovers of my candy, turned
around, ran a little, turned left, and ran. Even more mummies came darting towards me! I turned
around and ran as fast as I could, but I tripped on a rock, went soaring into the air, and fell into a hole.
Chapter Three: Back Home . . . with Even More Candy!
Surprisingly, it was only a second until I ended up crashing onto the sofa with the television on. I was
relieved to be home.
Suddenly, two mummies came running towards me from the kitchen and yelled, Boooo! I was so
scared that I jumped up from my seat, thinking, Oh no! These mummies followed me out of the hole!
But then the tall one said, Happy Halloween! and held out a large bag of candy. Then, I noticed from
the voice that these were actually my parents in mummy costumes. I was relieved there were no actual
mommies but just Mum.
If a stranger looked in from outside, they would think there were two mummies eating candy with a
child.

Comparing Hamlet Agamemnon And Prufrock
Hamlet, Agamemnon and Prufrock all display Hamartia; a tragic flaw, by doing things that are out of
the norm, acting out violently and/or unreasonable which in turn, hurts the ones they love. All three
characters did things that most people would think of as crazy, like killing someone, acting frantic or
getting yourself killed by evading a question. Although these things might be looked down upon or
even questioned, they have been taken place in either reality or somebodies mental world which in
turn has created these great pieces of literature. Hamlet, is flawed because he is unable to take action.
For example; when Hamlet was feeling like death would be the answer to all of the world s pain and
heartache that it is heir to , he couldn t

My Motorcycle Wreck
All my life I have been around motorcycles. My father used to let me ride on the back with him when
I was a young child. I remember the feeling that I would get when he would accelerate. As soon as I
could touch the ground, I owned a dirt bike. I used to love going fast and wheeling down the road for
the neighborhood girls to see. We used to spend hours working on bikes together. That is when I
started to become obsessed with motorcycles.
January 31st, 2016 is the day that I got my first motorcycle. It was the day my fiancé and I were
moving to Jacksonville, Florida. We drove for about twenty minutes, until I got a call from my cousin.
He said, Cody I will trade my motorcycle for your car. So, we met in the Walmart parking lot in Hot
Springs Village, Arkansas. When he pulled up with the motorcycle, I was excited. Then, I took a joy
ride around the parking lot. I could not believe I finally could have my own motorcycle. I traded my
car with a bad transmission for the bike. We were barely able to pick the back of the bike up to get it
in the U Haul truck. When we got here the movers had beat us here, and were waiting impatiently. So,
when we opened the back of the truck and they saw my heavy motorcycle they were thrilled.
Five months later, I have been living here for a little while now and driving my motorcycle
everywhere has become normal for me. One night, I was on my way to work at the nursing home. I

Human Papillomavirus Vaccine Education
Human Papillomavirus is a broad term used to describe over one hundred and fifty related viruses.
The Human Papillomavirus, better known as HPV is named for the warts (papillomas) that become
present on the skin of an HPV victim. HPV is transmitted via intamainte skin to skin contact. Each
year a small number of cases of HPV go unknown because no symptoms are present or the body fights
away the virus. Other cases that do not go away commonly are expressed in genital warts and cancers.
Some cancers commonly developed from HPV are cervical, vaginal, anus, back of the throat, tonsil
and tongue cancers (What). In recent years researchers, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A study of college age women showed that approximately 70% of women with HPV infections
became HPV negative within 1 year and as many as 91% of them became HPV negative within 2
years, with a median duration of infection of 8 months. Certain HPV types, such as HPV 16, are
associated with increased rates of persistence; however, in the previously mentioned study, the 24
month clearance of HPV 16 was 72%. Thus, the majority of these infections clear. Other factors
associated with persistent HPV infection include age higher than 30, parity, infection with multiple
HPV subtypes, immunosuppression, smoking, and oral contraceptive use.
Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia caused by HPV can clear without treatment, but the rate of clearance
varies according to the severity of the lesion; high grade lesions have a greater rate of progression to
cervical cancer (Blackman). Sixty percent of CIN 1 lesions are likely to regress spontaneously, 10%
are likely to progress to CIN 3, and only 1% is likely to progress to invasive cancer. For CIN 3, these
numbers are quite different: approximately one third of these lesions are likely to regress, and the rate
of progression to cervical cancer is greater than 12% if left

The Representation Of Interracial Relationships
In the multi cultural society that we live in today, relationships from all different cultures are
welcomed. The mixing of races has been going on for hunherds of years and dates back to the
unfortunate years of slavery. Where the mixing of white and black was a taboo, but still carried out by
the white slave masters on their black maids/ slaves.
In this essay I will be looking at the representation of interracial relationships and how these
relationships have been portrayed in cinema from 1903 up until present. I will be discussing the how
miscegenation has been represented to audiences over the years as a problem, and something that is
unnatural. This essay will be anasyling scenes from movies such as Birth of a Nation, and What ...

It was this filmed that sparked the 1927 production code, which was called the Don t and Be Carful s.
This production code was a guideline for professionals in the industry, on what was not to be depicted
on the screens for audience to watch. The representation of miscegenation was strictly prohibited from
the years 1930 1956. This production code was a reflection of the views that were held in society at
the time. As cinema is often a reflection of society, miscegenation when it is present in films is often if
not always represented to the audience as problematic. The relationships start off great but have a hard
time progressing to anything further as, each side has to deal with problems that they cannot relate to,
or has issues addressing with their partners. These as these were the views of society at the time, the
view that these interracial relationship wouldn t work and were unnatural were projected on our
screens to further reinforce the message to the audience.
Miscegenation was first shown on screens in 1903, in the film What happened in the tunnel? .
Unusually the interracial relationship is not represented in its typical form. There is no physical
relationship presented to the audience, miscegenation is presented to the audience when a white man
catches the eye of a white woman while embarking on a train

Whist Muscle Analysis
As a trainer, I have found that clients seeking to improve their flexibility complain about tight
hamstrings more than any other muscle group. Time and time again, clients are consistently surprised
to find that hamstring flexibility can be improved without stretching at all.
Before I can talk about flexibility, we need to define what a tight muscle really is. A very big
flexibility misconception is that muscles need to be physically lengthened and the best way to
lengthen muscles is through stretching. This is simply not true! Muscles already have all the length
they need and attempting to change that length via intense stretching is liable to cause ligament
damage rather than actually increase the range of motion.
Riddle me this: If muscles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Active ROM is the range of motion a person can actively control their hamstring through (think trying
to touch your toes). Passive ROM is the range of motion a hamstring can be moved by an outside
force (like when a partner stretches you out). To test your active ROM, lie on your back and lift one
leg up as high as you can without bending the knee. To test your passive ROM, perform the same test
but have a partner move your leg up and back as far as she can. Differences of more than an inch or
two between active ROM and passive ROM are a very undesirable trait and come along with a high
risk of injury. This essentially means that your brain is allotting more range of motion than it can
actively control. A lack of motor control is an injury risk; if you were forced into a position in which
you had no muscular control (falling for example) an injury is likely to occur. In my experience, this is
most common in females.
If you are in this group, an easy fix is proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching. It is
a mouthful, but it is not as difficult as it sounds. This basically is stretching interspersed with muscular
contractions. Here is how to do

Description Of The Botanical Boat Trip
Botanical Boat Trip
In the middle of the urban wilderness lies a more natural one, the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. There,
people can walk through an enchanted forest just a short drive from their home. I arrived at the
gatehouse to this wonderland ten minutes before I was due to embark. The road was surrounded on
either side by a thick forest of trees that blocked out most of the noise from the airport and busy road
outside, making me feel like I could be a thousand miles from civilization. The cool wind and overcast
sky seemed to be warning me of some approaching rain, leading me to wonder if the boat would even
go out. After parking in front of a low, stone building, I passed through two sets of glass doors to
arrive behind the building, followed the path out back down a series of stone steps, stopped in front of
the boat dock, and greeted the crew.
The young bearded man shivering in his Virginia Tech hoodie and shorts asked us, How s it going? I
will be your tour guide. My name is Michael, and my shipmate is Terry. We ask that you sit in the
back to keep the motor under the waves. The business focused pilot got right to his station in the pilot
s chair. My sister accompanied me, and soon our last shipmate of the day arrived. Only three of us
attended the boat tour that day. The threat of rain seemed to frighten off other guests leaving the park
empty and peaceful, but I pushed on, wanting to reach the lake outside the garden and take in its
magnificent view. As we

Bp Oil Explosion in the Gulf of Mexico
On April 22 2010, the World faced one of its worst oil spill disasters in the history of marine
petroleum exploration. A deadly oil well blowout at Macondo Prospect, about 41 miles off the
southeast coast of Louisiana, spewed huge quantities of oil for 87 long days causing major
environmental and economic troubles to the Gulf region ( Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill ). It started with a
fire and explosion, killing 11 workers, and then unleashed a slow motion disaster that spread across
the 600 mile gulf coastline. The massive oil spill disrupted lives and livelihoods, and swallowed up
the habitat of many species, leaving their fate to the toxic mix ( Political and environmental Dilemma
).

According to a report published by US Fish Wild Life on January 25, 2011, local authorities collected
6,124 dead birds and 100 sea turtles ( Wildlife Collection Report ). Wildlife Report Experts contend
that it will take several years to fully assess the environmental and ecological impact of the spill.
The extent of environmental damage is directly proportional to the amount of oil spilled and the area it
covers. Although both BP and government officials initially downplayed the importance of estimating
the extent of the spill, industry and environmental experts said accurate estimates were key to
planning and assessing remediation efforts. The final estimate of the oil spill now stands at 4.9 million
barrels, the volume that far surpassed many previous spills on American soil. A previous accident
caused by the collision of the Exxon Valdez oil tanker in Alaska spilled about 760 thousand barrels,
slicking 11,000 square miles of ocean surface and 1,300 miles of pristine Alaskan coastline, and
killing hundreds of thousands of birds and marine mammals and untold numbers of fish and fish eggs
( Gauging the Long Term Impacts ).
As a result of the BP Oil spill, the US government imposed a temporary moratorium on off shore
drilling. A great amount of work was done by the government and BP Management to clean up the oil
slick across the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. BP committed 20 billion dollars for oil spill victims over

are very similar. The main two differences were added events to the movie and changed character

the director included the similarities and differences he did, was to emphasize the effects of the war of

The Little Mermaid Identity
In The Little Mermaid, Ariel begins as a brave, interested, and gutsy youthful mermaid. She
investigates the ocean with her companions and saves Flounder and Prince Eric from drowning. When
she builds up a crush on Eric and is quickly changed into a human, be that as it may, she transforms
into a calm, lovesick puppy, investing the majority of her energy fixating on the ruler and staring wide
eyed in admiration at him and he is absolutely into this version of Ariel. She truly gets to be noticeably
quiet when she exchanges her voice to the shrewd ocean witch Ursula in return for legs so she can
carry on with a human existence with Eric. Her demeanor changes from bold to submissive, and her
previous enthusiasm for human culture narrows to simply searching out a kiss. She eventually gets the

A Discussion On Ethical Theories
5.0 Following up discussions based on ethical theories
After discussing ethical dilemmas from individual and corporation aspects, we bring ethical
discussions from four major points according to ethical theories introduced in the background section:

5.1 Social Duty
Happy Meal , a specialized meal marketed at children from McDonald s contains main item such as a
hamburger, a side item like french fries, a drink, and most important, a toy. 20% of McDonald s sales
is from toys, it has become one of the largest US toy distributors. McDonald s uses popular characters
such as minions or Hello Kitty to attract children to their happy meal. Because of these toys,
McDonald s became the most popular American kid s restaurant. Some children even ask for Happy
Meal only for the toys. Because Happy Meal is the most popular fast food product, McDonald is big
extend has a significant relationship with American childhood obesity.
Is the Happy Meal ethical or not? According to Kant s theory, which includes that people have the
duty to not physically harm others, McDonald s behavior is unethical. Because as a fast food
company, McDonald s targets children by using toys and selling them fast food which make children
obese and make far lasting impacts on those children s dietary habits.

My Experience In Poetry
A few years ago, I found myself at a local coffee shop for a poetry slam. It was around the same time
that I was trying to come to terms with life without my grandmother. She had been in the hospital for
quite a long time, and I was surprised I found even a moment to show up to the poetry slam between
my regular visits to the hospital, school, and other commitments. Nevertheless, I still found myself
before the coffee shop entrance. The aroma and warmth from the inside were compelling, but I still
hesitated. I had on a sweater and a jacket, but they were not quite enough. I shivered as I nervously
entered to shop, my poem clinched in the numbness of my hand. I had prepared a poem as a final
goodbye to my grandmother, but I felt like I needed it to be recited for practice before I read it to her.
Part of me still hoped that I would not have to read it to her at all. I found the nearest empty seat and
waited anxiously for my turn to read my poem. When my name was called my heart falls to the floor,
the paper in my hand quivered loudly, and the room was quiet enough to hear it. I paced toward the
stage and introduced myself and the title of the poem once I got there. Then I began to read. At first I

2.0 Arguments For Software Piracy Essay
2.0 Arguments for software piracy
In economical and ethical terms, they are different arguments used to defend the practice of Software
Piracy. For example, some customers might say purchasing software is expensive so the computer
dealers pirate the software and sell it to the customers for a lower price which consists of a bit torrent ,
this is protecting the customers.
2.1 Cost
As broadband internet technology continues to flourish, the price of software continues to increase.
Some people have the opinion that software costs too much which leads them to pirate software at a
lower price as it is expensive to purchase it commercially [9]. This is beneficial to the people that
suffer financially and don t have a good paid job which is likely to help them with the cost of the
software. Pirating software also comes in handy for the university students as it is not always available
at low cost and most good software costs hundreds to thousands and this is the amount that students
can t afford when it comes to purchasing software such as Microsoft in order to get their projects and
assignments done without money to purchase the original software. Therefore, software piracy casts
significant benefits to those who cannot afford the software at such a great price. With some consumer
software packages costing up to $500, the amount of money saved by pirating is not negligible [9].
Consumers also believe that manufactures are not hurt by pirates making illegal copies of their

The Freedom of Speech Essay
A long, long time ago our fore fathers sat down and drafted the most influential document of our lives
as Americans, The Constitution. In this historical guideline for a free society the first Amendment
deals with what they thought was a main need in our society that did not necessarily exist in other
cultures at that time. This main need was free speech. Since this document was put into place, the
issue of free speech has been heatedly debated among the common public, big business, and
worldwide industries. The government has always been the moderator in cases dealing with free
speech, much like when the PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center) fought diligently to get the
government to mandate warning labels on media containing adult ... Show more content on

If we put Big Brother in charge of deciding what is art and what is free speech, we would see self and
actual censorship rise to new and undesirable heights. says Rep. Jan Schakowsky. (CNN 1) Rated R
movies aren t the only programs that broadcasters are getting scared away from playing. The Oscars
this year got the worst ratings they ever had in history simply because they were not entertaining and
it appeared too pre programmed. The lack of spontaneity and abundance of predictability just proved
that the American public wants something to entertain them and not bore them to tears. Yes, the FCC

Constructions of Gender and the Treatment of PTSD within the U.S. Military
The U.S. military shows a surprising sensitivity and openness to the emotional difficulties of being
stationed abroad, especially in a conflict zone, and it is making great efforts towards preventing/easing
depression and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among its members (although it varies by
branch). Group therapy is made available at Veteran s Administration hospitals and the Department of
Veteran Affairs is connected to the National Center for Post traumatic Stress Disorder, which provides
many helpful resources including literature that speaks openly about private, domestic, and relational
issues. This is in shocking contrast with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The uniforms, insignias, nametags, clear social hierarchy, transparent reward system, and shared

A veteran from the Mid West is vacationing in New York City for the first time. He goes to the USO
center in Port Authority and, while his kids watch t.v. and eat Little Debbie snacks, he and his wife get
advice on restaurants and theater tickets from a woman with coifed grey hair. A sergeant drops by to
rest and have a free cup of coffee. Just as they claim, the USO really is like a Home away from home .
The military system is, as one would expect, very pragmatic. Differences among soldiers and their
abilities are viewed as strengths (or weaknesses) to be put to optimal use to get the job done. While
certainly not impervious to racism and sexism, this very practical, almost scientific approach to
managing human efforts supports a true meritocracy. But, like other hierarchically structured systems,
a lot depends on the leadership.
Major General Richard S. Colt is the top commanding officer of the 77 th Regional Readiness

Single Mom Research Paper
August 15,1998 I was born in Miami Florida. To a single mother, my father who is absent in my life,
was late while my mother was in labor. My mother felt no pain while conceiving me, unlike most
women who scream in agony, she believes that was a sign from God declaring my fate. My mother
says I am destiny for greatness, and I believe her. Growing up was fun, I was very blessed and well
taken care of. Being the only child of a single mother was quite boring, but I always got what I
wanted. In my youth, I traveled a ton, mostly wherever my mother could find work, she was a LPN
(License Practical Nurse) with an abundant amount of experience, which gave her an edge in the work
force. I can recall living in Georgia, Homestead, Antigua, and the Bahamas.

Race Is The Most Complex Word Of The World
Throughout my research, the one thing that I am certain of is that the term race is the most complex
word in the world. To this day, many people are divided on whether Race is a real concept. Race has
many definitions, but the way I believe most people define it in today s society is A group or set of
people or things with a common feature or features. Most people including myself confuse the word
Race with Ethnicity. However, the two words are very different. The definition of Ethnicity is the fact
or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition. The two words
are distinguished from one another by their meanings. One of them represents outer appearances of
populations and the other represents the cultural views of populations.
Many things led up to classifying people into races . One of the most significant is slavery. However,
when slavery began it was not considered slavery, but thought of more as an institution. In the New
World, all types of people including Irish, Indians, Africans, and Englishmen were slaves. The
environment was cruel and harsh, but if they survived their time of up to seven years, they were set
free and able to own land and their own slaves. During this time, it was the wealthy society vs. the
poor society. People were not treated unfairly because of the color of their skin but rather treated
unfairly because of their social status. The economy took a turn for the worst when more men became

As members of a global community, citizens of the world confront international crime in many
different ways. Each of the Six Model Nations represents one of the different legal traditions present
in the world today (Albanese 95). Some of these nations have a lot in common with the criminal
Justice System of the United States, while others are radically different. Many international criminal
endeavors impact the Six Model Nations. However, there is one crime in particular, terrorism, that
impacts every one of the Six Model Nations. According to the Global Terrorism Index, published by
the Australia based non profit Institute for Economics and Peace incidents of international terrorism
have more than quadrupled since 2002 (Wilkins). The study reports that, Worldwide fatalities resulting

How Is King Lear Alike
Ran (乱) is a movie directed by Akira Kurosawa, and it was inspired by one of Shakespeare s famous
plays, King Lear. The movie resolves around the emperor, Hidetora Ichimonji, who decides to retire
and announces to divide his kingdom among his three sons. In exchange for the kingdom, the emperor
expects to retain his title as a Great Lord and spend the rest of his life visiting his sons. The youngest
son, Saburo, calls the emperor a foolish man for dividing his kingdom because there will be unity
between the brothers. Infuriated by Saburo s frankness for expressing his thoughts, Emperor Hidetora
banishes both Saburo and Lord Fujimaki for attempting to defend Saburo. When Emperor Hidetora

In King Lear, Lear is wandering in the storm, spewing out non sense speeches and cursing his
daughters, which is the exact definition of madness. On the contrary, Hidetora is silent though out the
time in the open plain, and with a frightening expression as he goes mad as if he is already dead. One
notable feature of Hidetora is the eyes. During his sanity, when he hears Saburo s name, he widens his
eyes and flees. Hidetora widening his eyes can be symbolized as a transformative experience for him.
He realizes Saburo is the son who loves him the dearest, and yet he banishes Saburo. The sorrow runs
through Hidetora s body, leaving him speechless and with a terrifying expression on his face.
Despite the fact that King Lear and Emperor Hidetora are two different characters from two different
plays, however, they share many themes and characteristics in common. Such as the theme of
madness, where they realize the truth after losing their sanity. They also share many identical
characteristics such as self preservation of pride, holding animosity to any individuals who defy their
authority and banish them. Ultimately, Shakespeare s play, King Lear, inspired Ran, both containing
many identical themes and

The Motif of Ernest Hemingway´s A Farewell to Arms
The world contains many recurring events that remind humans of morals or things that are important.
In the novel A Farewell to Arms many events come again and again. Usually, these events that repeat
or come again have a deeper message inscribed in the text. This is not unlike whereas the novel The
Great Gatsby has weather that unfailingly matches up with the tone and mood of the text. The author
Ernest Hemingway has created A Farewell to Arms with a motif that is very precise. The motif of rain
and nature in Hemingway s novel divulges that there are things that a human beings cannot control;
making them recognize what they lack and how life can bring sadness.

The rain which is death the leaves which represent life, fell and rotted. Rain is a spontaneous thing and
is not scheduled, planned and is not in our power. Nature has a mind of its own and for humans or the
people in the war to have that power are supernatural which one cannot have that kind of power. Also,
humans are not capable of controlling life itself. If that were to happen in this world, there would be
chaos in power and no one would be able to die peacefully and obtain that beauty of dying a heroic
death. Life cannot be controlled and some people see death as a beauty for it takes humanity to God.
But in life, there are many things that have been with us but when we realize that it is gone, we are
burdened with our own sadness.
Ronald Oliver, a director said that Women don t know what they want. Men never know what they

rain brings this quote into thought about what Henry sees and feels. You knew it rained down that

Common Law And Equity Law
COMMON LAW AND EQUITY
Introduction
During the 12th and 13th century, a survey was conducted on tradition, custom and law under the
common law system of England. This survey originally developed as court decisions. In England, the
equity laws are developed after the creation of the common law. The analysis based on development
of justice and is now used in the royal courts. This gives us the story of the 1066 when the England
was attacked and concluded that there is no common law system, but the local court system. It is
called the power of traditional dishes such as Shires and counties. The foundations of the common law
have known in public as customary law. In this assignment, me the author will describe the
development of the UK system of common Law and Equity. Arguments about judge s role in the
development of legal principles will be made.
The Common Law
During the conquest in 1066, William applied old legal customs in generalizing to the entire kingdom.
It was the origin of the Common Law; the essential characteristic was that it was rooted deeply in
Roman law to be based on the customs and practices from medieval traditions. These customs are still
mainly oral; procedures are carried out by royal courts who judge case leaving significant room for
interpretation. Gradually, the common law is insufficient and ineffective for a number of disputes.
The Equity
Individuals appeal directly to the king, arguing the fairness of their problems. This procedure, called

Hip Hop And Its Influence On American Culture
Cultural Expression
Music has inspired and touched the lives of many aspiring hip hop artists which makes it one of the
most influential culture in American. Hip hop has become one of the most vital, and profitable, forces
in popular culture. Hip hop beats have influenced popular music genres from rock to jazz to reggae.
Hip hop is a form of art which can be expressed through rap songs, break dancing, and graffiti art. The
culture has become so popular that it has entered today s fashion and modern language. Hip hop music
is an extremely large part of today s generation and a global genre, which influences the generation all
over the world. The culture has entered everywhere from TV commercials to toys, video games, and
also fashion industry. I predict that hip hop music is here to stay because that s the only way a hip hop
artist can convey their story without being arrested. Hip hop is here to stay because, inequality among
poor people, injustice and police brutality that hip hop music is protesting against still exist in
American today. Hip hop groups like Public Enemy and N.W.A. during the late 80 s and early 90 s
made determined efforts to deal with an attitude of sensitivity toward and sense of responsibility
regarding injustice and problems in society. Their music served as social awareness movement during
their generation. Their music is meaningful and powerful because it reminds black people to stand up
and fight against injustice. Inequality and racial

What Causes The Polarization On People
What causes the polarization on people in the world?
Many people in the world do not have enough food to eat. However, some people can eat different
kinds of food. As we can see in the picture, a skinny man with an empty planet is sitting opposite to
the strong man with a hamburger in his hand. Both of them are hungry, but the skinny man does not
have food and he looks really uncomfortable. The strong man is fat and he is going to eat the
hamburger. The picture shows the realistic on the society. Many people in poor areas do not have
enough food to eat, at the same time; some people would like to eat unhealthy food in rich areas and
caused the obesity. According to the Latest Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) statistics from
2015, there are 795 million hungry people in the worlds (who are the hungry?). It shows that 11% of
people do not have enough food in the world. Actually, the geographic position and diet are the
important reasons to cause the polarization in different areas.
Firstly, the geography takes an important role on the polarization on food in different areas. Some
cities located in the places with the bad weather, the extreme lands and the temperature are changeable
in those places. However, some crops require comfortable weather and suitable lands to grow. For
example, Rice, Maize and Wheat are the important food for people to eat. Wheat grows in temperate
climates and maize and rice crops are more productive in temperate and subtropical climates than

It s so hot! Today, millions of motor vehicles are producing greenhouse gases that are flooding into
our atmosphere. At the rate society is going, a theme such as global warming is being considered more

affects on our independence. The United States imports most of its petroleum from foreign nations
which could pose problems in the future. This is why Alternative fuels such as hydrogen should be

Although hydrogen can be beneficial, it poses a major problem; initial costs of hydrogen could be a
detrimental barrier. To start a Hydrogen economy, high initial infrastructure costs would be inevitable
( Hydrogen ). The cost of distribution and even use of hydrogen would initially be excessively high (
Hydrogen ). Although initial cost may be extremely high to produce and use hydrogen, it is a necessity
to help this nation become less dependent on foreign nations and to make fuel more efficient and
renewable. Fossil fuels are clearly a non renewable resource and will be depleted eventually, which is
the reason hydrogen should be researched more extensively to help develop a more efficient and
renewable resource. Hydrogen can prove to be more energy efficient and reliable than gasoline or
diesel fuel. Gasoline and diesel fuel powered engines or internal combustion engines are not ideally
energy efficient. Internal combustion engines are approximately twenty to thirty percent energy
efficient (Woodbury). Most of the energy produced in the internal combustion engine is lost in heat
and friction before the
Brannan 3 piston is even pushed(Woodbury). Hydrogen is, however, a much more energy efficient
fuel. Hydrogen powered fuel cells are said to be about sixty percent energy

Definition Of Beauty In American Culture
It s human nature to desire to be perceived as beautiful, but who determines what beauty is or looks
like? The Merriam Webster dictionary defines beauty as the quality of being physically attractive;
qualities a person possesses that gives pleasure to the senses or the mind (Merriam Webster). The
definition of beauty can vary greatly between cultures and countries. We ll explore the similarities and
differences of beauty in Asian and American cultures. The concept of beauty in most Asian countries
is identified within Caucasian (Anglo Saxon) standards. Many Asian women are unaware of the fact
that this standard of beauty was shaped by the influences of Caucasian standards on their society. A
beautiful Asian woman is described as thin, pale skinned, black or brown hair, and dark brown eyes.
Modern Asian women often seek to have blonde hair and colored eyes which further personifies
Caucasian beauty. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Thailand, it s very common to see people outside wearing hats, long sleeves, and pants in the

prevent darker skin. There is a huge market in Thailand for whitening skin creams and sun protection.
Darker skin is usually associated with poorer, lower class individuals, while lighter skin represents
beauty, wealth, and luxury. A primary reason for wanting lighter skin has been the influences
Caucasian beauty has had on Asian culture. Oddly enough, this definition of lighter skin being more

The many aspects of the outside of this church alone reveal that it is a Jesuit Church. The use of
baroque architecture is a major factor in distinguishing buildings of this time from one another. The
Gesu is the first major building featuring Baroque, which is significant to the Counter Reformation,
and it is also the template for Jesuit churches around the world. Baroque architecture followed
renaissance art from the Middle Ages. The many aspects of this style make it feel as if it is going
against the norm. Architects aspire to make baroque buildings look as if they are sculpted and
contoured, rather than mathematically planned. Using techniques to make walls look curved together
as one single entity is a way baroque artists integrated movement into architecture. Unique ground
plans of oval or ellipse shape are a distinguished aspect of baroque, in contrast to the circles, squares,
and Greek crosses used in the renaissance. Architecturally, the Gesu is a marvel. It is the second
largest in size, following St. Peters Basilica, and also has one of the largest domes in Rome. The
baroque aspect of the dome is its inability to be seen from the front of the church, it is only viewable
from the sides. In addition, the pillars on the exterior are in even pairs of two lining the front wall,
however they are carved out of the stone, not standing independently. Despite this, the pillars still

We want to have an employee of Sucarél in the high directive of the joint venture, but we should be

To reach an agreement with the time of the joint venture, we can create the joint venture for five years

  • 2. Target Market Of Pepsi Target Market To identify the target consumers, companies must divide the market into groups with distinct needs and preferences before identifying which segment to target (Kotler Keller, 2017). The target market for PepsiCo products is the population aged between 13 and 45 years. Since this population mostly comprises of young people, Pepsi sells its products in restaurants, schools, colleges, fast food stores, and other places that this target market frequents. The segmentation of PepsiCo is as follows: 1. Geographic According to Kotler and Keller (2012), geographical segmentation involves dividing the market into smaller geographical units like regions, states, nations or neighborhoods. For PepsiCo, its market is not highly geographically segmented as people from any geographical unit can purchase its products. The company markets and sells its products both domestically and internationally through its six recognized segments or regions including: Frito Lay North America, Quaker Foods North America, North America Beverages, Latin America, Europe and Sib Saharan Africa, and Asia, Middle East and North Africa regions. While the company targets both urban and rural areas, it makes more sales in big cities that are densely populated. 2. Demographic This divides the market on the basis of age, income, gender, income, occupation, religion and other demographic factors. • 3. Gender Is A Social Aspect Essay Gender has always been around, but it has caused confusion for some about the true meaning, through this, two perspectives have come to light. Those who believe that gender is something that you are born with, your biological self that differentiates you from your opposite (male/female). Then there are those who believe that gender is a social constructed aspect of ones life. What your parents and society label you the minute you are born. Examples being a girl wears pink, a boy wears blue. These colours are a significant symbol of assigning one a gender, for if they do not wear those colours (in some instances) then people will not be able to distinguish them this generally shown in a newborn babies case. Through a socially constructed perspective, certain ways of living are formed for each persons gender, in olden day New Zealand, women, at a certain point in time were assumed to stay at home, with the children and be good wives. Whereas men were to be in the labour force, whether it be working class, or in the higher areas of parliament. This was all up until the mid 1800s were the first wave feminism came into act. There are many aspects within a persons educational life, that can affect them greatly, gender being one of them. Depending on the job, a persons gender can hold major implications to their progression in that area. In modern day, gender still holds a major impact on a persons life, especially if they are females. All over the world there is still clear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Caacioppo s Effect On Relationships Macondo s isolation was a result of the actions of one person. Like in all situations every action had its effects. The trend toward greater isolation was set in motion by a new cultural focus on the individual (Cacioppo 53). Society has been changing so rapidly that human relationships seem to get lost in the process. Human relationships are based on the quality of these relationships, or the effect it has on those in the relationship. In Cacioppo s book, Loneliness: Human Nature and the Need for Social Connection, he includes an excerpt from an email. Within this email it says, I remember the year eye contact stopped. It was not some big demographic shift. People just seemed to give up on relating to each other . This happened several ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Culture is defined by a community, it shapes the aspirations, how success is defined, the resources available to the people within. This further effects the beliefs and behaviors of the individuals. Societies where isolation is normalized cause the people within them to be more solitary and unable to maintain relationships (Cacioppo 74). When people are no longer able to maintain relationships, they turn to other forms of interaction. Cacioppo writes about the substitution of human interaction. The kind of connections pets, computers we substitute for human contact are called parasocial relationships ... Is an effective way to fill the void when connection with other humans, face to face, is thwarted (Cacioppo 256). This is exactly what happens to Jose Arcadio Buendia. In the process of trying to learn more about science and modern inventions, he distances himself from his family and those around him. This phenomenon is caused by a deprivation that is common within the society. As time progresses, cultures solidify their social structure as well as what is expected of the people within. This often causes pressure on the people to conform to a certain way of life. In the case of Macondo, the characters are forced to conform to a life of solitude. Cacioppo writes, As cultures encompass more variety in their mores, the absence of narrowly defined and rigidly enforced standards places even more of a burden on the brain executive function...This is where the developmental plasticity of humans provided us with an evolutionary opportunity, and, once again, where the interference effects caused by loneliness can create additional burdens (Cacioppo 188). Creativity and individuality gives people the opportunity to evolve and create a new standard of living. With this increase in creativity, there is also an increase in problems of the mental and physical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The jungle was very quiet. But on the other hand, Rylin was very loud. The jungle had all types of plants growing. To name a few, there were daffodils, blueberries, and roses. As he was walking, he heard something in the bushes. Maybe it s just a bunny? thought Rylin. Just then, a jaguar jumped out! Ahh! shouted Rylin. When he started to run, the jaguar ran after him. I took a deep breath and followed the smell, which led me to a chocolate pyramid, which I recognized as the one I got while trick or treating. Then I noticed I was holding my bag of candy. I wanted to taste the chocolate, so I broke off a piece and ate it. Right after I finished, mummies jumped out of the hole of the pyramid. I was too stunned to move, so I tossed some candy. They stopped running towards me and darted for the candy. I ran away, but another group of mummies came darting towards me. I threw the leftovers of my candy, turned around, ran a little, turned left, and ran. Even more mummies came darting towards me! I turned around and ran as fast as I could, but I tripped on a rock, went soaring into the air, and fell into a hole. Chapter Three: Back Home . . . with Even More Candy! Surprisingly, it was only a second until I ended up crashing onto the sofa with the television on. I was relieved to be home. Suddenly, two mummies came running towards me from the kitchen and yelled, Boooo! I was so scared that I jumped up from my seat, thinking, Oh no! These mummies followed me out of the hole! But then the tall one said, Happy Halloween! and held out a large bag of candy. Then, I noticed from the voice that these were actually my parents in mummy costumes. I was relieved there were no actual mommies but just Mum. If a stranger looked in from outside, they would think there were two mummies eating candy with a child. Miriam is a ... Comparing Hamlet Agamemnon And Prufrock Hamlet, Agamemnon and Prufrock all display Hamartia; a tragic flaw, by doing things that are out of the norm, acting out violently and/or unreasonable which in turn, hurts the ones they love. All three characters did things that most people would think of as crazy, like killing someone, acting frantic or getting yourself killed by evading a question. Although these things might be looked down upon or even questioned, they have been taken place in either reality or somebodies mental world which in turn has created these great pieces of literature. • 9. Narrative Autobiography On A Motorcycle Cody Ball Instructor Name Course Number Date My Motorcycle Wreck All my life I have been around motorcycles. My father used to let me ride on the back with him when I was a young child. I remember the feeling that I would get when he would accelerate. As soon as I could touch the ground, I owned a dirt bike. I used to love going fast and wheeling down the road for the neighborhood girls to see. We used to spend hours working on bikes together. That is when I started to become obsessed with motorcycles. January 31st, 2016 is the day that I got my first motorcycle. It was the day my fiancé and I were moving to Jacksonville, Florida. We drove for about twenty minutes, until I got a call from my cousin. He said, Cody I will trade my motorcycle for your car. So, we met in the Walmart parking lot in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. When he pulled up with the motorcycle, I was excited. Then, I took a joy ride around the parking lot. I could not believe I finally could have my own motorcycle. I traded my car with a bad transmission for the bike. We were barely able to pick the back of the bike up to get it in the U Haul truck. When we got here the movers had beat us here, and were waiting impatiently. So, when we opened the back of the truck and they saw my heavy motorcycle they were thrilled. Five months later, I have been living here for a little while now and driving my motorcycle everywhere has become normal for me. One night, I was on my way to work at the nursing home. I was ... The Human Papillomavirus, better known as HPV is named for the warts (papillomas) that become present on the skin of an HPV victim. HPV is transmitted via intamainte skin to skin contact. Each year a small number of cases of HPV go unknown because no symptoms are present or the body fights away the virus. Certain HPV types, such as HPV 16, are associated with increased rates of persistence; however, in the previously mentioned study, the 24 month clearance of HPV 16 was 72%. Thus, the majority of these infections clear. Other factors associated with persistent HPV infection include age higher than 30, parity, infection with multiple HPV subtypes, immunosuppression, smoking, and oral contraceptive use. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia caused by HPV can clear without treatment, but the rate of clearance varies according to the severity of the lesion; high grade lesions have a greater rate of progression to cervical cancer (Blackman). Sixty percent of CIN 1 lesions are likely to regress spontaneously, 10% are likely to progress to CIN 3, and only 1% is likely to progress to invasive cancer. For CIN 3, these numbers are quite different: approximately one third of these lesions are likely to regress, and the rate of progression to cervical cancer is greater than 12% if left ... • 11. The Representation Of Interracial Relationships In the multi cultural society that we live in today, relationships from all different cultures are welcomed. The mixing of races has been going on for hunherds of years and dates back to the unfortunate years of slavery. Where the mixing of white and black was a taboo, but still carried out by the white slave masters on their black maids/ slaves. In this essay I will be looking at the representation of interracial relationships and how these relationships have been portrayed in cinema from 1903 up until present. I will be discussing the how miscegenation has been represented to audiences over the years as a problem, and something that is unnatural. It was this filmed that sparked the 1927 production code, which was called the Don t and Be Carful s. This production code was a guideline for professionals in the industry, on what was not to be depicted on the screens for audience to watch. The representation of miscegenation was strictly prohibited from the years 1930 1956. This production code was a reflection of the views that were held in society at the time. As cinema is often a reflection of society, miscegenation when it is present in films is often if not always represented to the audience as problematic. The relationships start off great but have a hard time progressing to anything further as, each side has to deal with problems that they cannot relate to, or has issues addressing with their partners. • 12. Whist Muscle Analysis As a trainer, I have found that clients seeking to improve their flexibility complain about tight hamstrings more than any other muscle group. Time and time again, clients are consistently surprised to find that hamstring flexibility can be improved without stretching at all. Before I can talk about flexibility, we need to define what a tight muscle really is. A very big flexibility misconception is that muscles need to be physically lengthened and the best way to lengthen muscles is through stretching. This is simply not true! Muscles already have all the length they need and attempting to change that length via intense stretching is liable to cause ligament damage rather than actually increase the range of motion. Riddle me this: If muscles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Active ROM is the range of motion a person can actively control their hamstring through (think trying to touch your toes). Passive ROM is the range of motion a hamstring can be moved by an outside force (like when a partner stretches you out). To test your active ROM, lie on your back and lift one leg up as high as you can without bending the knee. To test your passive ROM, perform the same test but have a partner move your leg up and back as far as she can. Differences of more than an inch or two between active ROM and passive ROM are a very undesirable trait and come along with a high risk of injury. This essentially means that your brain is allotting more range of motion than it can actively control. A lack of motor control is an injury risk; if you were forced into a position in which you had no muscular control (falling for example) an injury is likely to occur. In my experience, this is most common in females. If you are in this group, an easy fix is proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching. It is a mouthful, but it is not as difficult as it sounds. This basically is stretching interspersed with muscular contractions. Here is how to do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There, people can walk through an enchanted forest just a short drive from their home. I arrived at the gatehouse to this wonderland ten minutes before I was due to embark. The road was surrounded on either side by a thick forest of trees that blocked out most of the noise from the airport and busy road outside, making me feel like I could be a thousand miles from civilization. The cool wind and overcast sky seemed to be warning me of some approaching rain, leading me to wonder if the boat would even go out. After parking in front of a low, stone building, I passed through two sets of glass doors to arrive behind the building, followed the path out back down a series of stone steps, stopped in front of the boat dock, and greeted the crew. The young bearded man shivering in his Virginia Tech hoodie and shorts asked us, How s it going? I will be your tour guide. My name is Michael, and my shipmate is Terry. We ask that you sit in the back to keep the motor under the waves. The business focused pilot got right to his station in the pilot s chair. My sister accompanied me, and soon our last shipmate of the day arrived. Only three of us attended the boat tour that day. The extent of environmental damage is directly proportional to the amount of oil spilled and the area it covers. Although both BP and government officials initially downplayed the importance of estimating the extent of the spill, industry and environmental experts said accurate estimates were key to planning and assessing remediation efforts. The final estimate of the oil spill now stands at 4.9 million barrels, the volume that far surpassed many previous spills on American soil. For example, some customers might say purchasing software is expensive so the computer dealers pirate the software and sell it to the customers for a lower price which consists of a bit torrent , this is protecting the customers. 2.1 Cost As broadband internet technology continues to flourish, the price of software continues to increase. Some people have the opinion that software costs too much which leads them to pirate software at a lower price as it is expensive to purchase it commercially [9]. This is beneficial to the people that suffer financially and don t have a good paid job which is likely to help them with the cost of the software. Pirating software also comes in handy for the university students as it is not always available at low cost and most good software costs hundreds to thousands and this is the amount that students can t afford when it comes to purchasing software such as Microsoft in order to get their projects and assignments done without money to purchase the original software. Therefore, software piracy casts significant benefits to those who cannot afford the software at such a great price. Using techniques to make walls look curved together as one single entity is a way baroque artists integrated movement into architecture. Unique ground plans of oval or ellipse shape are a distinguished aspect of baroque, in contrast to the circles, squares, and Greek crosses used in the renaissance.
