This proposal is for a Ska and punk ska magazine called "The Beat!". The magazine aims to entertain and educate readers about the latest news, music, and history of Ska music. It will include articles on new songs, fashion trends, profiles of influential bands, and more. The primary target audience is men and women ages 17 to 25 who are interested in Ska music. Younger children under 10 will be restricted from accessing the magazine due to its content. The magazine will not include any offensive material towards social groups and will ensure not to infringe on any copyrights through use of original content and design.

Product’s Purpose: my products purpose is too keep my viewers up to date on what’s hot,
new and what you need to know about the music and history behind the Ska music.

Content
My magazine will include all the latest news and gossip of the Ska world but it will also
include what songs to listen too what style too wear and which bands in history are the
best and why too listen too them, I I am going too include a double page spread covering a
certain band, as well as including bands and music from the Ska punk genre including
more of a variety.

Audience:
My primary target audience will be both genders from the age 17 to 25 keeping the text and what’s
inside aimed at this group including slang terms and a decent amount of information, my
secondary audience I believe to be men of the age 30-50 being quite a large number.

Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? My magazine should not contain any offensive
material towards any group
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? I shall restrict younger audiences but only from
10 downwards mainly just because they wont be particularly interested.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? It should not offend any groups at all.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? I will make sure there is not offensive content
within the magazine including images and text.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? I will be using band names
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? Yes I will make my magazine like no other magazine out there being the first Ska
only magazine.
