1. From this I can draw my audience
are primarily male dominated.
Therefore I will use bold and
succinct themes that don’t over
glamourize the pages.
Although there are some outliers,
the main age range is between
15 and 19. Following this I’ll try
and appeal to the typical teenage
style. Layering, crowding but all
in a complimentary manor. It’ll
also alter the humour and form
of address I apply.
2. With slight variation, the entirety of
my audience are from a white
ethnicity which was expected.
Applying this I will try to appeal to a
British culture.
Most of target audience are in full
time education which links back to
the age range. This young audience
will be favourable to spending their
money on entertainment purposes.
3. Most would be willing to pay up
to £3. Following this, I’ll price my
own magazine at £2.50 to make it
more appealing.
While there is a wide variety of
music taste the ones that stand
apart are; rock, metal, dubstep
and alternative. Therefore these
are the genres I will cover in my
magazine. Appealing to a range of
audience.
4. The majority of my audience
consume media via internet.
Applying this knowledge I would
choose to advertise my magazine
in said way. However it would still
be published in newsagents.
The majority of people want
magazines for the music news and
some for hobbies. There for I could
have one page of my magazine
dedicated to common hobbies.
5. The majority of responses indicate
they don’t feel the need to
consume music news more then
once a month. This can also reflect
on the price as £5 a month is not
as bad as per week.
While there were alternative
responses in ‘Other’ the primary
instruments played were
acoustic/electric guitar and drums.
This will help indicate what tips to
put on the hobby page in
reference to music.
