Your story
The story begins with flashes of the trapped girls past, she’s happily
running along in a field, really happy. Her expression changes from one
of happy to fear and she begins to run in away from a figure the audience
cant see. The scene cuts to her jolting awake in bed, trapped in a room
she’s familiar with. She gets out of bed to begin her day, as she does
things in the room the camera keeps cutting to the clock, each time that
happens there’s a tick (each tick of the clock the scene cuts to another
part of the story). One of the scenes is of the girl sitting on her bed,
flicking through a notebook with a tally of how many days she’s been
stuck; the book being almost full. The scene cuts to the clock on the wall
a few minutes before midnight, an a note is slid underneath the door. The
girl is left confused as this is the only time she ahs had any form of
human contact for the whole time she’s been in confinement. When he
opens the note, it reads time is running out and she turns to look at the
clock, when it strikes midnight the whole screen goes black and the
ticking turns into beeping and the ending scene is of the girl laying on
white sheets and suddenly opening her eyes, the screen going black
again.

Cast information
I chose for Maya to be in my film as she had the look I
was hoping for when I started planning my movie.
Maya was suitable as she has experience in acting. A
back up plan was to use my friend from home as she
also, same as Maya, has the look I was hoping for
when filming, although different, they’re both still what
I wanted in actresses for my film.
+
Location information
My original plan was to film at my own home in a small room, as that’s
where the plot was based; in a dark room. However due to transportation
issues I wasn’t able to do so, therefore I have changed the location to the
studio in college as it had the lighting I needed and the room we chose to
film in had very little natural light inside which was perfect for my
production. As I needed a forest for production, I was going to use the
forest close to my home, although again due to transportation I had to
use the tunnel near to college as the main outside area of filming.

Resources, costume, props,
consumables, etc
As the beginning of my film is outside in a wooded area, I wont
need to take any props out with me, just need the surrounding
area to be clear. The remainder of my film will be indoors with
everything I need already set out as its filmed in a bedroom. The
duvet will have to be creased and thrown on the floor, pillows
scattered around the room, and old clothes dropped on the floor.
At the beginning of my movie my main character will have to
wear colourful clothing that represents happiness, when the
scene cuts to her being inside the ‘room’ then her bright clothes
will be seen on the floor, whilst she is changed into all black
clothing. Therefore my actress will need a change of clothing,
however she will be able to change indoors, rather than outside.

Soundtrack Planning

Diegetic sound
For my diegetic sound, I will need light wind (this can be filmed
on location) and birds tweeting that I will have to record early
one morning. I will need some creaking floorboard sounds that I
can, again, film on location when walking around. I will need
some gasps and a scream fro my main character too. To create
the sense of thrill for my movie, I will also need a clock ticking
and the beeping of a heart monitor beeping healthily before
cutting out.
+
Non-diegetic sound
If possible I’m hoping to not need / have a non-diegetic sound
within my film. However if needed, then I will include a creepy /
thrilling soundtrack I find that is royalty free and fits in well with
my whole movie sequence. If I can’t find a song that I am
looking for then I will use GarageBand to produce my own
music that I feel fits in well.
