This proposal is for a 3-minute video game montage intended to entertain a male audience aged 15-20. The montage will feature action scenes from popular video games set to dramatic music without a cohesive story. Research on editing techniques from other montages, like adding dialogue or lyrics, will inform the production. While some violent content may not appeal to younger viewers, it will not be restricted or offensive. The montage will use material from existing games legally and differ sufficiently from other works to avoid copyright issues.

Product’s Purpose:
The purpose of my product is to entertain the audience, this will be achieved because I
am using games that people like and backing them up with music. And the content of the
video games will be mostly action as that is what most appeals to my audience.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
My products genre is video game action, it’s an action themed product because I feel that
it would be more entertaining to watch if it was violent.

Content
The product will be a bunch of clip put together and accompanied by music, it is more
commonly known as a montage. There will be no story to the montage, but I’ll try to make
it dramatic, by showing off action scenes from games, it won’t all be action though there
will be scenes without action. This product is meant to entertain the audience as well as
advertise the video games shown in the montage.

Research & Planning
I will use editing techniques that I found during my research on existing products, such as
adding dialog while a scene plays in the background. Adding text to the montage, but not
just text from the clip text from the music, so basically adding lyrics to the clip. I will also
make the product 3 minutes long based on the response I got from my questionnaire.

Audience:
My audience is age 15-20, gender male and middle class. My product will appeal to this
audience because the product will have a violent theme, and will feature games from
there generation.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
There will be no material in my product that will offend any gender or religion. Younger
viewer may not want to see the product because of its violent theme, but I am not
restricting it to younger viewers. I will be using material that has been used in other
products. My product follows ASA regulations, I’m not advertising any of the games as my
own.
