CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) teaches a variety of subjects such as art, music, physical education, and science in a foreign language. It is important to analyze the language demands of content and present it in an understandable way. Learners must produce oral and written language in the subjects to make communication meaningful. CLIL promotes cognitive skills and challenges learners by using language as a tool for learning rather than an end in itself. Understanding culture, both one's own and others', is also an important part of the CLIL approach.
