English is regarded as the world language and is the medium of instruction in colleges and universities in India, as well as the language of administration. To successfully complete a degree, students must have an adequate command of English to express themselves, understand lectures, and utilize literature. English serves as a language of communication, a window to the modern world, a library language, and a link language. It is also considered a rich, beautiful, and passport to employment. English further acts as the language of international trade and industry.
