OUTLINE:
Gibraltar has successfully conducted its first
ship-to-ship transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG)
“I certainly want to see more of this in the future, reinforcing our leading role as a premier bunker
port offering the widest possible range of marine services,” said Bob Sanguinetti, CEO of the Port
of Gibraltar. Ship&Bunker, 31 march 2015
Neil Macnab, Master Mariner Consultants,
TMC Marine Consultants Ltd
Neil Macnab has over 20 years seagoing experience
with the LNG industry, having served crude oil,
product tankers, a bulk carrier and numerous LNG
carriers, both Moss and Membrane type. He has
successfully performed hundreds of cargo operations on board
LNG carriers and plenty of experience with pre and post
operations for dry docking and repair yards on LNG, oil and
cruise ships. He has spoken at and participated in numerous
seminars and industry conferences in the Oil, Gas and Off-shore
Renewables industry, as well as facilitating in house senior officer
conferences.
Singapore gears up for LNG bunkering
Singapore, the world’s largest bunkering port, is gearing up to fuel ships with liquefied natural
gas (LNG) by 2020, as part of a global trend to move away from oil to gas to reduce emissions.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has engaged firms to embark on a pilot
programme to work out the operational protocols for LNG bunkering here by 2017. The Straits Times,
18 Oct 2014
UASC exploring cooperation on LNG bunkering
UASC maintains ongoing dialogue with key industry players and will continue to explore areas
of cooperation related to LNG fuel and in general going forward. Jørn Hinge, President and CEO,
United Arab Shipping Company (UASC). The availability of LNG as a fuel is of particular interest
to UASC as it prepares to take delivery of a fleet of LNG-ready box ships from Hyundai Heavy
Industries (HHI), starting next month. Seatrade Global, 13 April 2015

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has issued a statement stating that their
members should plan for the global 2020 cap on sulphur emissions. Separately, with
widespread agreement that current oil prices are a medium term phenomenon, the option
of LNG is alive and kicking. And globally, ports are backing it up with infrastructure
investment.
The 3rd LNG Bunkering Summit is part of a suite of events in The Bunkering Week, which
incorporates 3 co located conferences and will attract over 200 top decision makers. LNG
Suppliers,Traders, Ship Owners and builders will convene to address commercial, regulatory,
supply-demand, price and global market issues.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
3rd LNG Bunkering Summit is the only platform of its kind in the region which will bring together top decision makers from the industry on
a single platform. Present a keynote session, launch a product, sponsor a lunch or demonstrate that pioneer technology you have developed
