  • 24. Prophylaxis  Vaccine :  Killed Vaccine (Formalin):  Killed virulent strains(Haffkin institute Mumbai)  Short lasting immunity (<6mths)  Live vaccine: a virulent strains  Subunit Recombiant Vaccine (Under trial)  All contacts of pneumonic plague: Doxy/ Tetracycline x 7days
