Mann Ki Baat Focuses On EntrepreneurshipNew Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on
Sunday used his "Mann Ki Baat" radio pro-
gramme's last telecast of the year to put forth
yet another of his initiatives, this time reach-
ing out to young entrepreneurs. He said the
government would launch the action plan for
"Start-up India, Stand-up India" on 16
January, 2016.
'ATITHI DEVO BHAVA'
There is a need to pay attention to cleanliness
at our tourist destinations. We believe in
"Atithi Devo Bhava", we clean our house
when guests come over. Then why don't we
clean our tourist destinations ?.
'Start Up India' Stand Up India To Be
Unveiled On Jan 2016.
On 16th January, Government will launch the
action plan for Start Up India, Stand Up India.
Through this program, Universities and youth
will be connected-all-NITs, IITs and IIMs,
Wherever there are youth, they will be linked
through live connectivity .
Highlights of PM Modi's 15th Edition of
Mann Ki Baat :
1.I convey greetings on Christmas and the
advent of 2016 to the citizens of my country.
India is a country that is ‘festival driven econ-
omy. It helps in economic progress of every
section of the society:
2.Ganesh from Pune has written on the
importance of cleanliness in tourist places.
What Ganesh has said is worth giving impor-
tance to. He has raised a vital point. It is our
duty to keep the tourist spots clean. I thank
the media for working hard towards creating
awareness about Clean India. The change is
visible now. Public participation has increased
all over the country.
3.Since we have begun our efforts to electrify
the villages, we are seeing the enthusiasm in
the villages being electrified. Through
‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’ we can connect
with each other. People tell me a lot of posi-
tive things happening.
4.On 12th Jan we will mark the birth anniver-
sary of Swami Vivekananda. Since 1995
National Youth Festival begins on that day.
This time the festival will be held in
Chhattisgarh. The festival will be a mini-India
with youth from all over joining.
5.On 16th January we are coming out with an
action plan on start ups. Universities and
youth will be connected with this programme.
Had spoken about India being a ‘Start Up
Capital’.
6.In every sphere we need to have new ideas
and focus on innovation. The talent of our
youth is not restricted to a few cities. All
across India youngsters have talent & they
need opportunities.
7.I have thought about how people we call
“viklaang” have an extra power with which
they live their lives and inspire us. Instead of
the word “viklaang” cant we all refer to these
people as “divyaang”? As these people are
gifted with an extra power.
8.”Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme” has
received place in Guinness Book of World
Records, it has been successfully implement-
ed.
9.Before 26 January, how about you all share
with me creative work, writings on ‘duties’.
Share them on MyGov.
10.In the Bhojpura Village in Sehore District of
Madhya Pradesh, lives an aged artisan, Shri
Dilip Singh Malaviya. He has constructed 100
toilets without charging even a single penny.
"After I spoke about it, the matter was con-
veyed to all departments of the government,
who took it up for discussion. Can India
become the 'Start-up Capital' of the world?
Can the states help the youth build start-ups,
and with new start-ups, new innovations?" he
said during the speech.

There was devastating phase for the south – Indian
region when it witnessed a heavy rain fall during the
annual northeast monsoon. Many innocent people suf-
fered and lost their lives in this painful flood attack. The
areas which were mostly affected by the devastating
flood were the Coromandel coast region of south indian
states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and the union
territory of Pondicherry with Tamil Nadu and the city of
Chennai .
As of 10th December more than 400 dead bodies were
found. In Karaikal an enclave of Pondicherry in
Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu nearly 50 houses
were damaged due heavy rain fall and flooding. The
administration had opened 66 relief centres to provide
temporary accommodation to people from low lying
areas with estimates of damages and losses ranging
over 20000cr to 100000cr the 2015 flood is considered
as the costliest natural disaster.
P.M Narendra modi travelled to Chennai and promised
150$m to the flood- hit tamil nadu state. Three days of
fresh rains have again led to massive flood, inundating
homes, hospitals, roads, railway tracks and the city’s air-
port. Forecast of more showers remain in place.Schools
, colleges and factorie are shut , examinations have been
postpond and power supply has been suspended in
some parts of the city. An oil refinery has stopped all its
operations.
Train services will remain suspended untill Saturday said
by an official. A navel air base at Arakkonam,70km
(43miles) from the Tamil nadu state capital,is noe being
used as makeshift airport with seven commercial flights
excepected to operate on Friday and Saturday.

For education, sense of the heart is the
primary approach. Education is no edu-
cation, if it is not taught to the heart. An
educated heart would be in the practice
of self introspection. From my childhood
i have been musing about the things that
could not be penetrated by me. What
tortured me more was the observation
that very few people fulfill their duties
honestly and with full dedication, know-
ingly or unknowingly. It has throughout
tangled me to understand why profes-
sionals, politicians, leaders and of other
high echelons are yet to learn what they
should and should not do. I am fully con-
vinced that a person, whatever his sta-
tus, education, position, wealth, etc,
may not understand what to think, what
to speak or what to do because they are
not aware of their heart's voice. We
need to create conscience in the part of
our minds to be aware and awake about
what’s right and wrong, so that our
doings and deeds are not sinful or harm-
ful to others.
Education should not remain only a
source to enable people to earn their
livelihood but it should also inculcate
and develop sense of discernment and
heart warmness to understand the basic
objectives of their lives as ideal human-
beings and should also create and
exact the essence of their potential in
order to benefit mankind in its sufferings
and afflictions, and to forget all. the
grudges and malice in their heart.
Taking one of the biggest example of
Ravana. Though he was a person with
lots of wisdom and education in all types
of vedas, and great worshiper of lord
shiva. But his lust for marrying Sita and
being so heartless, his dynasty and he
himself everything came to an end one
day, all vanished because to be educat-
ed but without education of the heart is
all useless. People will forget what you
said, they will forget what you did,but
people will never forget how you made
them feel. Therefore, before educating,
children should be taught to be a good
person first. Then only they will grow into
a tree with emotions and ethics. Present
mode of education is grossly lacking the
vigour of moral, social and behavioral
science who could refine the psychology
of the children. They are educated sure-
ly to earn and live with comfort and lux-
uries, but there is no source to enable
them to improve their inner beauty which
principally includes the values of human-
ism and mannerism.

With two unexpected stops, in
Kabul and Lahore on
Christmas day, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi rephrased the
recent history of geo-politics
in the region. This is indeed a
good initiative from the two
leaders of the two neighbour-
ing countries. It’s time, we
should sincerely work for long
lasting peace and cooperation
between the two neighbouring
countries. I hope, this one
step forward will be followed
with further improvement in
our relationship with Pakistan.
Actually, this is very bold deci-
sion taken by PM Narendra
Modi to visit Pakistan and met
his counterpart there on 25th
December. At this point of
time, mutual relationship
between both the countries is
not only desirable but also
advisable.
There is lots of controversy
after his visit but I personally
feel that, Modi’s surprise
stopover at Lahore should not
be seen with much expecta-
tions. It can at present be just
considered as an opportunity
for reposting trust for Nawaz
Sharif. Present move is indis-
cernible at this juncture, wait
and watch till January end
talks. Wind of change might be
in the offing albeit trust build-
ing is primary to confidence
building. We must have faith in
our leader. He has gone on
national agenda. He has taken
risk. He has not gone in per-
sonal capacity/agenda (fertile
minds can impute), but for a
job to be performed for nation.
Success or failure, we should
stand by him. Moreover, the
prime ministers of two coun-
tries talk to each other, then
there is never any hype.
However, when Indian PM
talks to the Pakistan’s PM,
there is hullabaloo every-
where. There was news that
there was an earthquake
exactly in Afghanistan,
Pakistan and Northern parts of
India. While his travel to Kabul
on the way back from Moscow
was widely anticipated and
that had been reported by
many media houses and jour-
nalists earlier this week. Modi
telephoned Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif from Kabul to
wish him on his birthday, and
during the call, made plans to
travel to Lahore to wish him
personally a few hours later.
Narendra Modi is back in India
after his pit-stop visit to
Pakistan, but his surprise trip
has given Congress a lot of
reasons to criticise the Prime
Minister and the Central gov-
ernment’s handling the sensi-
tive Indo-Pak ties.
Questioning his visit,
Congress leader Manish
Tewari pondered if Modi had
other interests behind his sur-
prise visit. After reaching out
to Pakistan with talks with
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
in Russia, Narendra Modi
gave a big outreach to Jammu
and Kashmir.
The state of Jammu and
Kashmir is not like any other
state of India. According to
news reports published by
various publications Union
government is finalising a
massive “development pack-
age” of as much as Rs.
70,000 crore.
The package will be far higher
than the one announced by
the United Progressive
Alliance government in 2004
under the Prime Minister’s
Reconstruction Package of
Rs. 24,000 crore (revised
later to Rs. 36,265 crore) and
is expected to be disbursed
along the same lines, sources
say. The projects will include
a medical institute, affiliated
to the All India Institute of
Medical Sciences, in
Anantnag, an Indian Institute
of Technology each in Jammu
and in Kashmir, and an Indian
Institute of Management in
Jammu. State government
put together several propos-
als, pitching for projects esti-
mated at Rs. 1,00,000 crore.
The common minimum pro-
gramme of the ruling alliance
of the PDP and BJP has
development agenda for
Alliance. Srinagar and
Jammu will see major urban
development projects and
satellite “smart cities” called
“New Srinagar” and “New
Jammu”.
The funds will be spent over
the next five years on projects
to be identified by the Mufti
Mohammad Sayeed govern-
ment. PM Modi had also
announced his development
agenda for J&K. Prakash,
Paryavaran, Paryatan on
August 12, 2014.

New Delhi, Dec, 2015: The discussion
over presidential form of government and
parliamentary form is not new. Prior to
independence, after independence, even
till the adoption of the constitution, the effi-
cacy of the parliamentary form of govern-
ment has seen a sharp debate. Many in
the constituent assembly had also voiced
their reservations regarding the suitability
of the parliamentary form in a vast and
diverse country like India. The debate
continues till date but never has any
Indian or foreign scholar analysed the
issue citing so many instances and force-
ful arguments as Bhanu Dhamija has
done in his book ‘Why India Needs the
Presidential System’.
To debate on the issue an absorbing sem-
inar on Why India Needs The Presidential
System was organised recently at India
International Centre, New Delhi, in which
Congress MP and former minister of state
for foreign affairs Mr. Shashi Tharoor was
the keynote speaker. Two other panellists
were Mr. Shanta Kumar, BJP MP and for-
mer Himachal Pradesh chief minister and
union minister, Mr. Kuldip Nayar,
Columnist, former MP and ambassador to
UK. A highly participative audience added
to the animated discussion on the subject,
which has hardly ever been discussed in
depth in recent times. The book published
by Harper Collins (Pages 373, Rs 550)
was released during the seminar.
In his keynote address, Mr Tharoor said
there is a valid reason for taking a fresh
look at our system of governance. He felt
that every society with fixated mindset
retards its own progress. Today we need
to think with an open mind. It is the right
time for the country to deliberate whether
the parliamentary system should contin-
ue, or we need to have a hard look at
other, more suitable alternatives to take
the world’s largest democracy forward.

Gujarat: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel said that there
has been a steady increase in the number of tourists to
Gujarat owing to the State Government’s proactive
tourism policy. Speaking at a function to mark the inau-
guration of newly constructed Bhunga, traditional houses
with thatched roof, in Kutch for tourists attending the
Rann Utsav, she said the winter festival started in 2005
in the vast stretches of white sands near the Great Rann
of Kucth has become world famous.
She said the government is keen to make the Bhungas
comfortable and yet affordable. She said that Gujarat is
home to numerous historic, religious and cultural sites for
tourists. The tourism policy pursued by the state govern-
ment for the last ten years has created jobs. The new
tourism policy of 2015 has made it more affordable for
senior citizens, housewives, farmers and students.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by ministerial col-
leagues and prominent citizens, took round of the newly
built Bhungas. They later watched a variety entertain-
ment programme befitting the occasion.
Nearly 400 children studying in border area schools in
police-like uniforms presented a guard of honour to the
Chief Minister.Tourism Minister Saurabh Patel said the
State Government has for the first time accorded indus-
try status to tourism under the leadership of Chief
Minister Anandiben Patel, as part of her slogan for
Gatisheel Gujarat.

The children are the pillars of tomorrow,
so they should be portrayed like, that they
seek the path of truth, respect, docility
non-violence, empathy, perseverance and
discipline so that they become good
human beings to give shape to an ideal
society tomorrow. Apart from academic
education they should be taught and
trained to learn to withstand the adverse
circumstances so that the unforeseen
trauma of life would not take them away
from their soul.
A successful man with ego and pride
becomes so inflated that at times he ceas-
es to recognize even his parents and
friends.
There are many examples where I have
seen some poor boys becoming some-
what respectable professionally and have
denied their relationship with their parents
forgetting the fact that it is their parents
who brought them to the world and keen-
ly groomed and educated them with their
meager financial sources and made them
what they are. Since children are less
educated to their heart therefore, their
selfishness dominated their emotions and
they give prominence to their happiness
and fake world. Hence, the only disability
of life is a bad attitude, rather than only
education but also ensuring yourselfof
it,is beginning of all wisdom. You are not
good to be seen but good to be known as
an inspiration with a great soul.
Where there is a positive attitude of for-
give and forget,think bigger. Spreading
happiness is the biggest education one
could ever come across. Heart Education
is an ornament of being human, wise and
to be a charismatic person. Education of
heart helps to accept the equal right of all
individuals ,to the autonomy of their emo-
tional lives, develop capacity to hear voice
of others. For example employer under-
standing the grievances of his employees
even from the distance of his position. I
am an optimist brought up on the belief
that if you wait to the end of the story, with
an educated heart, you get to see the
good people live happily ever after.
Educating.............. 2nd International Kashmiri Hindu Conference
held at Delhi for Panun Kashmir (Own Kashmir)
spl. correspondent
New Delhi: 25 years ago, on 27th December 1990,
Kashmiri Hindus formally raised their demand for a dis-
tinct homeland within Kashmir valley & called it Panun
(Our) Kashmir – an area within the Kashmir valley that
would be governed as a centrally administered territory
under Indian constitution. Ever since it’s observed as
Homeland Day annually all over the world by the com-
munity members. On 26thanniversary of this day, Youth
4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) under the aegis of Panun
Kashmir, organized the 2nd International Kashmiri Hindu
Youth Conference today(December 27,2015)at Satya
Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The program
provided a platform for the displaced community and
other likeminded people from across the world to
exchange their thoughts and joint future plan . Theme of
this Program was ‘PANUN INDIA reaches PANUN
KASHMIR’ with a perspective that for the first time ever
all nationalist forces across the globe stand united for the
cause of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
This was based on the continual efforts and actionable
outreach by Y4PK Activists from last three years, follow-
ing 1st International KP Youth Conference in 2012 which
had resolved to reach out to Nationalists across world for
creating awareness about KP extermination & exile.
A Strong political Panel discussion by eminent scholars,
academicians, writers & political personalities on past,
current & a way forward towards honorable return of
Kashmiri Pandits.

Be it manufacturing or the
services sector, no every-
thing requires novelty, new
technique, fresh thinking.
The world cannot progress
without innovation," he
said, adding that "Start-up
India, Stand-up India"
would bring the youth a
huge opportunity in this
regard. As for the 16
January action plan launch,
Modi said: "The launch will
rope in IITs, IIMs, central
universities, NITs — basi-
cally anywhere with youth
presence."
Modi went on to disabuse
the notion that start-ups
only concern the digital
world or the information
technology (IT) sector. "The
notion should change with
India's need for start-ups. If
some youth comes up with
an innovation that helps a
person burdened with hard
labour, I consider it a start-
up as well! I would ask
banks to help such young-
sters, and tell the young-
sters to bravely surge
ahead, and the market will
open up for them," said the
prime minister. He also
asked why knowledge and
intellect were limited to only
some cities in India. "There
is talent in each corner of
India, awaiting opportuni-
ties. 'Start-up India, Stand-
up India' should not be lim-
ited to some pockets, but
spread to every nook and
cranny of the country," said
Modi, urging states do their
bit for this policy, which ,
something he had first
touched upon in his speech
on 15 August, 2015.

Terrorist groups are trying
to infiltrate Muslim charities
in Britain in order to pro-
mote violence, recruit
young people for jihad and
steal money to fund terror-
ism, a government watch-
dog has warned. The risk
from terrorism and extrem-
ism was “one of the most
deadly threats faced by
some charities today,” said
William Shawcross, chair-
man of the Charity
Commission.
“The crisis in Syria has
evoked a generous public
response, but with this
comes a greater risk of
charities being subjected to
abuse,” the Telegraph quot-
ed him as saying.
It said that some aid work-
ers who travelled to Syria
and Iraq have been recruit-
ed by terrorist groups, while
other charities have seen
their goods stolen and staff
kidnapped. The commis-
sion warned that there are
increasing fears that
extremists are infiltrating
Muslim charities in Britain in
order to promote violence,
recruit vulnerable young
people for jihad, and steal
money to fund terrorism.
Latest figures show that the
commission, which regu-
lates the operation of chari-
ties in the UK, has seen a
significant increase in the
number of serious incidents
and reports about charities
being targeted by extrem-
ists and terrorists in the past
year, the paper said. “The
number of formal legal dis-
closures of information
between the commission
and the police and other
agencies over charities
caught up in alleged
Islamist activities more than
doubled between 2014 and
2015,” it said.

Although, this will not be her first kissing scene,
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has revealed that she is too
uncomfortable to film it with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Ae Dil

According to sources, the 42-year-old actress talked to
director Karan Johar about the scene, who then
agreed to shoot it in a way that would not involve a real
lip-lock.
Notably, the filmmaker has filmed an intimate scene in
a way that spared Aishwarya of any skin show.
Earlier, the ‘Jazbaa’ actress had shot a kissing scene
post marriage in the flick ‘Dhoom 2.’
The upcoming romantic flick, which will also star
actress Anushka Sharma, will hit the screens on 28

KSPCB'S newly appointed chairman with
other officers visited the bellandur lake for
first time and the new chairman Lakshman
inspected the whole area of the lake and
took the stock of the situation as many
protests took place here and all the depart-
ments officers have visited the spot but
there is no solution so the new chairman
want to give a long term solution by calling
a meeting with all the stake holders and
discuss the matter for long term solutions
as for the welfare of public who are living
here from past many areas and for time
being the Government has come up with
temperoary solution as they have closed
the whole area by covering it with Net as
with this froth will not come on road side .
Lakshmanna, Chairman, KSPCB, who vis-
ited the spot along with other officers said,
we need a septic tank to control the
sewage bring released into the lake. The
nature of the septic tank will be discussed
based on the level of the problem. It will be
a long- term solution. We will try to enforce
the rules we have for this kind of issue. It
needs to be enforced strictly. This will be
done with proper coordination of all parties
involved in the problem. We will monitor it
and follow the court directions in this
regard.
Ramakrishna, Chief Engineer, KSPCB
said, we are working on long term solutions
to control the froth in the lake. For example,
we are rehabilitating the sewers in the core
areas (of the city). The pipelines currently
installed are according to old planning of
Bengaluru . It is unable to take the load of
rampant development. At the same time we
are also undertaking underground connec-
tion works for the newly installed CMCs
and TMCs. As for the sewage in the areas
which have been made a part of the city, we
are seeking approval from the government
for the UGD works in these areas. All the
work is expected to be completed by 2019.

Atoshe Chope was arrested
in a joint operation by NIA
and CCB police . Atoshe was
part of gang that Ambushed
Assam Rifles Regiment this
may .
Acting on a tip off, the
National Investigation
Agency (NIA), in association
with the Central Crime
Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru
on Friday, have arrested a
27 year old Nagaland terror-
ist in connection with an
attack on a contingent of
Assam Rifles in Kohima dur-
ing March this year. Arrest of
the member of Nationalist
Socialist Council of
Nagaland - Khaplang
(NSCN-K), which is declared
as a terrorist organisation in
India under the Unlawful
Activities (Prevention) Act
(UAP), is the third arrest in
connection to the incident
that took place in Indira
Gandhi Stadium of Kohima
wherein six armed men had
opened firing on Assam
Rifles leaving one person
dead and three others
injured. The arrested person
has been identified as
Atoshe (27) year old s/o
Zuhushe from Zunuhuboto
district of Nagaland. He was
detained from a lodge near
MG Road, a major commer-
cial hub in Bengaluru.
NIA officials confirmed that
he is a member of the
banned organisation NSCN
Khaplang and wanted by the
National investigation
agency under various sec-
tions of sections of UAP Act.
Preliminary investigation
revealed that the man from
the banned outfit had pro-
duced fake identity proof
with the lodge management
for his stay.
"The arrested person has
been produced before the
city magistrate and the NIA
team has obtained transit
warrant, and after investigat-
ing they will handover the
terrorist to Nagaland police
for further investigation he
added.
First arrest in the case was
made by NIA during May this
year when they arrested
Khekaho Rochill (34), self-
styled finance secretary of
NSCN, from Dimapur in
Nagaland.

Delhi: PHD Chamber of Commerce &
Industry (PHDCCI) today asked the gov-
ernment to push the housing and con-
struction sector by increasing the deduc-
tion of up to Rs 5 lakh from the current
level of Rs 2 lakh for interest paid on a
home loan on a self-occupied house while
calculating income tax.
“This will reduce EMI and help increase in
disposable incomes of the people and
help increase investment in the real estate
sector,” said newly elected PHDCCI
President Dr Mahesh Gupta while
addressing his maiden Press Conference.
Further loss in income tax to the excheq-
uer would exceed by increased earnings
in excise duties and service tax to be col-
lected from boosted in demand in real
estate sector, Dr Gupta said.
Stimulus to real estate sector would pro-
vide a significant fillip to the economy and
enhance India’s GDP by another two per-
centage points and so will be the level of
enhanced revenue to the government and
desired fiscal consolidation, said Dr Gupta
who is also Chairman of the Kent RO sys-
tems.
Dr Gupta also emphasized that the gov-
ernment expenditure in infrastructure
needs to be increased to boost industrial
demand.

Bengaluru: E-commerce giant Flipkart came out with a new
brand licensing initiative to ease the process for internation-
al brands entering India and offering consumers more
authentic and branded merchandise. In "a first of its kind"
arrangement in the industry, Flipkart has tied up with Viacom
18 for the licensing of three large brands - Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles, Spongebob Squarepants and Peanuts - for
sellers.
Global brands are constantly looking to partner with the
most competent manufacturers across categories, and
Flipkart wants to become the licensing platform that con-
nects these brands to the most deserving sellers in India, it
said.
The brands' "core pain points" like fakes and lack of trans-
parency on retail sales can be addressed effectively through
Flipkart's "superior analytics system and the tight control" it
keeps on product quality, the company said.
In addition, Flipkart's expertise across 70 plus product verti-
cals will allow the company to offer these brands in a more
innovative approach towards merchandising and sales, it
said in a release here.
The sellers, in turn, will have the opportunity to create a bet-
ter experience for buyers, by assuring them quality of
authentic products and differentiating themselves from the
clutter on the marketplace, it said further.
