1. What is Hunger?
How does hunger affect our nation
and the world?
● Global hunger is when people don’t
have the Option of eating. They do not
get enough calories or essential
nutrients. They have an ongoing
problem with gettIng food to eat.
● Hunger is directly connected to
health.
● 11.8 % of all U.S. households suffer
from hunger.
● 1 in 10 people globally suffer from
chronic hunger.
● Most of the world’s hungry come from
developing countries.
● Main reason/cause of hunger is poverty
and lack of resources.
● Also has to do with the lack of food
insecurity.
2. More Facts
about Hunger.
● There are over 7.7billion people in the
world but there are 821 million people
in the world are suffering from hunger.
● In 2019 over 9 million people die of
hunger.
● People die from starvation since 1770s
● Some people around the world do not
have the right climate to plant crops to
eat.
3. Our Mission Statement
We are a non profit organization whose main goal is to feed the
less fortunate. No one should go to sleep hungry at night! We will
make a difference, not only locally, but globally.

Where do we vision our non-profit
organization /going in the future?
Our vision is to create a sense of
family to the hungry because
they don’t always have that and
that’s the kind of image PB+J’S
wants to set . We want to create
a name for ourselves, so when
people are hungry they think of
us and know that they will
always have a belly full of
nutritious foods from PB+J’S.
NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY!
6. Action Plan
WHAT OUR PLAN IS
● Drive a food truck to
impoverished areas and serve
sandwiches.
● Set up a community plan to
bring, or further bring the people
together.
● Reward the community for their
efforts in the community project.

Statistics
● 40.6 million Americans are on
food stamps 92% of those people
are below the poverty.
● 3.1 million children die due to
malnutrition.
● The states that are above U.S
average food insecurity: New
Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma,
Arkansas, Alabama, North
Carolina, Ohio, Indiana,
Louisiana, and West Virginia.

● The most poor county in Mississippi
is Holmes county.
● People facing hunger in Mississippi
need $286 million more per year to
meet food needs
● The typical household earns $42,009
a year, about $15,600 less than the
typical American household.
● The unemployment rate is 7.7%
● Over 46% of county residents live
below the poverty line, more than
double the state’s 21.5% poverty rate
and more than triple the 14.6%
national rate

14. Spreading The Word
● While we are working on achieving our goal we will need a way to let people know
what our goal is and how we will achieve it.
● In order to get the supplies necessary to feed, start a community project plan as
well as to pay those who will help us, we will need donations from our sponsors
and military donations.
● In order to let people know we will be in their area to help them out and support
them we have to make posters,banners and even commercials in order to make
sure we inform as much people as we can
● We will have to communicate with the city we’re traveling to to get approved for
our garden and get land to work on.
● We will have to recruit volunteers who have an expertise in gardening in order to
share their knowledge
