FALL FOR JESUS – The colors of fall in the Upper Midwest, in my opinion, are some of the best things given to us by
God. May the color of His of love lead you to seek His guidance in all circumstances. We ask visitors to let us know you
were here by filling out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with today‟s date, your name, address, phone #, etc.
NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL ARE OPEN – Sunday School registration forms are in the office hallway; please
complete and send it to class with your child (they are dismissed to class after the children‟s sermon at the 9:15 service).
The nursery in the basement is open 9am to 10:30am for those toddling to age 3; ask an usher if you need assisance.
DO YOU LIKE TO SING? – Come on Tuesdays at 7PM to the sanctuary and join the choir! We are always looking for
new members so, if interested, please contact Judy O'Grady at 469-0948 or just come try it out at our Tuesday rehearsal.
SODA AND COFFEE – Can you donate coffee (regular and decaf) for the coffee bar/kitchen or REGULAR Coke and
Pepsi and CAFFEINE-FREE DIET Coke and Pepsi for Fish Fry nights. Please bring to the kitchen anytime.
2. HYMNAL DEDICATION – On Sunday, October 10, at all services, we will celebrate the dedication our new Lutheran
Service Book hymnals and supporting literature to God‟s service at Our Saviour. Volunteers are needed this week to
prepare the hymnals for use, remove „Old Blue‟ from the pew racks and place the new hymnals in the racks. If interested
in helping with this project, please contact Pastor Greg. On or after October 10, you can take a piece of OSLC history
home…the Blue Hymnals will be offered to members at no charge.
ADOPT-A-BILL BOARD REPORT – New copies of bills are placed on the Adopt-A-Bill Board weekly. Payments
received thru September 26 ($7,547.27) have reduced the use of our reserves to pay bills. Thank you to all who have
adopted a bill and also continued to contribute regularly to OSLC.
FOR GRADES 6-12 – Did you hear? Youth night is back! It starts every Wednesday at 3:00pm. Confirmation
students (and 6th graders) can stay until 6:00pm. Senior High youth are welcome until 7:30pm (or later…talk to Pastor
Greg for details). Have fun, get homework help and have a delicious, $3 meal without any “I‟m late!” worries.
DO YOU LIKE TO SING? – Come on Tuesdays at 7PM to the sanctuary and join the choir! We are always looking for
new members so, if interested, please contact Judy O'Grady at 469-0948 or just come try it out at our Tuesday rehearsal.
The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
PACKERS RUNNERS – We have many members working as runners at Lambeau Field today for the game! Won‟t you
sign up to be a runner (20 needed) for the Packers home games on October 17 or 24 and beyond? Signup sheets must be
faxed Monday before each game. An online alcohol service test is required (but easy). OSLC earns $50 per runner per
game. Signup sheets are on the island in the coffee bar area. Please call Neil at 866-9088 if you have any questions.
2011 OFFICER/BOARD NOMINATIONS NEEDED – Several positions at OSLC are up for re-election at the end of
2010. Please notify President Mike Charles if you can nominate someone (even yourself) for one of the following
positions: President-Elect (3 year term); Treasurer (Gay Pivonka is willing to stay); Evangelism Board Chair (current
chair is leaving); Stewardship Board Chair (Rich Ryman is willing to stay); Trustees Board Chair (current chair is
leaving). The President Elect serves 3 years (Elect, Current and Emeritus); all other positions are 2 year terms.
ALL SAINTS DAY WORSHIP AND POTLUCK – Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Or are you well past
grief, yet so very grateful for the loved ones that have left you? Your pastors are offering a Service of All Saints. That
worship service will be on Monday, November 1st at 6:00pm (All Saint's Day). Bring memorial flowers if you like. Join
us for a very casual potluck in the gym at 5pm, preceding the worship service. Bring your family or friends, or come alone
with your memories! Let‟s give those loved ones back to the Creator and give thanks for their lives among us.
ONE MAN’S TRASH…IS ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE – Please collect Coke Points, used cell phones, empty
prescription pill bottles, Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, specially marked milk caps (from Morning Glory,
Kemps and Kwik Trip), Capri Sun pouches, Tyron A+ certificates, empty ink jet cartridges, non-perishable food you
aren‟t eating, aluminum cans and manufacturers coupons. Various groups supported by Our Saviour benefit from these
donations. Place items in the containers by the Preschool entrance or under the coat rack in the office hallway (place cans
in the drop door of the garage). Questions? Please call Michelle at 468-4065.
YOUR UNUSED COUPONS ARE NEEDED – We need your unused manufacturer‟s coupons for our military families
overseas who don‟t‟ have access to the Sunday paper. Please place in the marked box in the office hallway. Coupons can
be expired up to two months. For more details, please contact Michelle in the office at 468-4065. We plan to mail coupons
on a monthly basis. Please help us make these packages a blessing to those families that will receive the coupons.
FOOD FOR FALL – Donations of non-perishable food items fell during the summer months. If every family at Our
Saviour gave just one item per month, we would donate around 600 items per month to help the needy in our community.
ORDER A LUTHERAN STUDY BIBLE – 2010 Fall Bible Sale is underway. The order form is on the bulletin board in
the office hallway. Take advantage of special savings on various covers, styles, sizes, etc. Orders due by November 30.
Bibles make great gifts for many special occasions.
PORTALS OF PRAYER – The newest issue (Oct-Dec) is now available in the Narthex. Take a copy and grab one for a
friend, too. Need large print? They‟re in the office by the Seroogy‟s…help yourself (to the book…candy bars are $1.50!).
PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE – Has your contact information changed? Please make sure to share it with the church
office. We want to know we can keep in touch with all of our members by mail, email and telephone. Call 468-4065.
LIKE TO READ? – It's time for Trinity's annual Magazine Sale. Old subscriptions can be renewed and new ones can be
ordered. Great for presents!!! Contact any Trinity student; packets will be available at the Welcome Center.
MARKET DAY – Order forms can be found at the Welcome Center. Quick and delicious frozen meals are just a pen
swish away with Market Day. You can also order online; make sure to designate Trinity Lutheran as the recipient.
FAITH CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL – Faith Lutheran (Webster Avenue) is looking for a Preschool Director. The
position is an average of 10 hrs a week and the hours are flexible. Please contact Tara O‟Leary at 884-2859 or
taraoleary@new.rr.com for more information if you are interested.
ONE NIGHT ONLY FUNDRAISER – Pick up a flyer from the office hallway bulletin board, eat at Texas Roadhouse
(Oneida St, Ashwaubenon) on Monday, October 4 from 4-10 pm and 10% of your bill will be donated to Greater Green
Bay Habitat for Humanity. It doesn‟t get much easier to promote decent housing in our area.
LIFE QUOTE – “Abortion kills children, harms women, degrades humanity, and assaults the Lord of Life. The Christian
cannot view abortion as „just another issue.‟ It overrides all issues. The value and dignity given human life by God‟s
creating and redeeming hands compels the Christian to take advantage of every opportunity to remind their fellow
Christians of this and to take action in the public square to restore our nation once again to a nation that respects the right
to life.” Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb, executive director of Lutherans for Life This “Life Quote” is from Lutherans for Life
