MAY FLOWERS – The flowers are blooming and God‘s love for us shows in the wonderful colors of the season. May
you feel welcomed here and surrounded by the love of Jesus. We ask visitors to let us know you were here by filling out
the Fellowship Pad (it‘s in the hymnal rack) with today‘s date, your name, address, phone number, etc.
BAPTISM – Arianna Rosalie Gadouas, infant child of Richard Gadouas and Sara Beckers, will be brought into the
Lord‘s family at Our Saviour during the 10:45 am service on Sunday, May 23, 2010.
FEMALE SOFTBALL PLAYERS SOUGHT – The softball season began last week and continues tonight. Both teams
play at 6:45pm; OSLC 1 (1-0) is at John Muir (top) and OSLC 2 (0-1) is at Murphy Park. Want to play or help? Contact Coach
Dash (Steve Rusch.) at 406-9077. Schedules for both teams can be found on the bulletin board across from the office. We
now have an opportunity for even more fans; young and old alike can take part each week for either team.
OLAN MILLS – Appointments are still available on June 1, 28 and 29. Every member can expect a call from Olan Mills
either to set an appointment or with a reminder of your scheduled date/time. The call will come from a 423 area code and
show as ‗church directory‘. Please work with the caller to find a time to have your family‘s picture taken for the directory.
To make or change an appointment, please call 1-800-866-2263. Allow one hour for your pictures and the review process.
SUMMER STARTS EARLY – No, I'm not talking about the weather...but the summer giving appears to have started
already. Our weekly budget requires $10,680.53 in gifts per week to match the budget approved at our annual voters'
meeting last December but last week's giving was only $5,988.66. Our weekly giving in 2010 has exceeded our weekly
budget needs in only 7 out of 20 weeks. Please keep up your giving this summer so that we can meet our budget
expectations for the rest of the year.
PRESCHOOL – We are taking registrations NOW for the 2010-11 school year— MWF (8:30-11:30) for 4/5-year-olds
and T-TH (8:30-10:30) for 3-year-olds. Call this week (468-3596). Spots are filling up fast so don‘t delay any longer.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL RIDES THE HIGH SEAS – VBS will be held June 28-July 1 from 9am to noon.
Registration forms are at the extra counter by the Welcome Center. Only one form is needed per family. Parent/adult and
student (grade 6 and above) volunteers will also be needed; sign up at the Welcome Center to help.
STRAWBERRY SEASON IS COMING! – Do you want to make it easier to core strawberries? Our new LWML is
selling strawberry corers for just 50 cents each. The basket of corers can be found at the coffee bar.
LWML LADIES – We are scheduled to serve "mission cookies" on the first Sunday in June (the 6th). Please contact
Stephenie if you can bake or serve cookies.
SWEET MONDAY – Won‘t you join us on June 7 when we discuss weddings and share our photos and memories (the
good, the bad, and the ugly bridesmaids' dresses.) Bring your photos, mementos and your wedding dress, if you can!
WOMEN'S ONLINE MISSION NOTES – Check out what our women in mission have been doing by visiting the
LWML blog @ http://oslclwml.blogspot.com. Via Facebook, search Lutheran Women in Mission and our page pops up.

                              God’s promises are a safe landing…not a calm passage.
HEAR YE, HEAR YE – Imagine a place that connects member's needs, interests, talents, and passions. The Board of
Stewardship is developing such a place. To start it off, they are inviting every member to complete a fun and creative
inventory (survey). The information will be used within the congregation only, to allow members to use their gifts for the
Lord‘s work. This inventory is available at the Olan Mills picture taking sessions and the Welcome Center.
THURSDAY WORSHIP – Summer is a time when many people take time to travel, relax at the cottage, go fishing, or
simply spend time enjoying the outdoors. God's creation should be enjoyed. In response, we should not forget to Thank
and Praise our Heavenly Father. OSLC has established the Thursday service at 7pm for those who can't attend worship on
the weekends. This service is an excellent way to keep our focus on things above. If you are not available to worship on
Sunday, please consider attending on the Thursday prior to the Sunday you will be missing.
SUMMER LIBRARY HOURS – The OSLC library will continue to be available to members this summer during
regular office hours…Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Michelle‘s lunch break is from 12-12:30pm each day; on
occasion, you may find the building locked for a portion or all of that time period.
8TH GRADE GRADUATION! – Green Bay Trinity's 1st 8th grade graduation has been a long time coming, and it is
finally a reality. It's been 7 years since the school opened and now this big event is upon us. Join us at Christ of the Bay
on Thursday, May 27 at 6:30pm. There will be a small reception afterward. We would like everyone to come and
celebrate with our 8th graders, our teachers, and our school. A seed planted 7 years ago has become fruitful in every way.
LUTHERAN SCHOOLS NIGHT WITH THE BULLFROGS TUESDAY, JUNE 8TH 7:05 P.M. – Get a $25 value
for $10 (Ticket, Bullfrogs hat, hot dog and soda). Online at www.frogsgroups.com; flyers on NEWLHS board in hallway.
BLAZER GOLF OPEN & LUAU 2010 – FRIDAY, JUNE 11TH – Don‘t miss this year‘s NEWLHS golf open and luau
at The Woods Golf Course (530 Erie Rd, GB). Registration from 10:30-11:30am; $50,000 Shootout 11:00-11:30am;
Shotgun start at 12:15pm; Reception, pig roast, and silent auction at 5:30pm. For more information and registration, go to
www.lutherangolf.com or call the school office at 469-6810.
NEWLHS CAMPUS WORK DAYS JUNE 14-15 – From 8am-7pm, anyone can help to clean up the campus. We'll take
on several major projects and undertake general cleaning/maintenance. Please call the school to sign-up to work or to
offer to purchase cleaning supplies. Roll up your sleeves and help us beautify our campus! ALL help is appreciated.
DISTRICT DAY AT NOAH’S ARK! – On June 28, join North Wisconsin District members of all ages for family, food,
fun and, of course, WATER! The price includes a Noah‘s Ark unlimited pass, lunch, soda all day and a chance to win
great door prizes. Contact Camp Luther at 877-264-CAMP for more information!
NEWLHS HAPPENINGS – The Spring concert ―Don‘t Stop Believing‖ will be held at NEW Lutheran High School
today (Sunday, May 23) at 2:30pm. The Graduation Ceremony for our seniors will be held on May 29 at 10:30am.
HOST FAMILIES NEEDED – Consider opening your hearts and homes to someone from another country next school
year while you broaden your awareness of the world around you and help support NEWLHS at the same time. A female
from China who speaks English well needs a host family. If you are interested please e-mail schumacherk@newlhs.com.
MILWAUKEE BREWERS OPPORTUNITY – Pilgrim Lutheran is organizing a coach trip to Miller Park to watch the
Brewers vs. the San Francisco Giants on Monday, July 5TH. It is a 3:15 pm game; the bus will leave from Pilgrim Lutheran
at 11:30am and return around 8pm. The cost is only $30 for an outfield loge seat and the bus ride. You cannot do better
than that! Call Tim Ashmann at 965-2224 or 562-3110 with reservations or questions.
LIFE QUOTE – ―We fight abortion knowing that the eternal fight for human life is won. We fight assisted suicide
knowing that the eternal fight for human life won. We fight against everything that tempts us to pride or despair,
everything that tempts us to sin and idolatry, everything that tempts us to be disobedient, murderous, unchaste, stealing,
lying, covetous rebels. We fight not with the weapons of this world, but with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.‖
Rev. Christopher S. Esget, Pastor, Immanuel Evangelical-Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Virginia

Every member can expect a call from Olan Mills either to set an appointment or with a reminder of your scheduled date/time. The call will come from a 423 area code and show as ‗church directory‘. Please work with the caller to find a time to have your family‘s picture taken for the directory. To make or change an appointment, please call 1-800-866-2263. • 2. SUMMER STARTS EARLY – No, I'm not talking about the weather...but the summer giving appears to have started already. Our weekly budget requires $10,680.53 in gifts per week to match the budget approved at our annual voters' meeting last December but last week's giving was only $5,988.66. Our weekly giving in 2010 has exceeded our weekly budget needs in only 7 out of 20 weeks. Please keep up your giving this summer so that we can meet our budget expectations for the rest of the year. PRESCHOOL – We are taking registrations NOW for the 2010-11 school year— MWF (8:30-11:30) for 4/5-year-olds and T-TH (8:30-10:30) for 3-year-olds. Parent/adult and student (grade 6 and above) volunteers will also be needed; sign up at the Welcome Center to help. STRAWBERRY SEASON IS COMING! – Do you want to make it easier to core strawberries? Our new LWML is selling strawberry corers for just 50 cents each. The basket of corers can be found at the coffee bar. LWML LADIES – We are scheduled to serve "mission cookies" on the first Sunday in June (the 6th). Please contact Stephenie if you can bake or serve cookies. SWEET MONDAY – Won‘t you join us on June 7 when we discuss weddings and share our photos and memories (the good, the bad, and the ugly bridesmaids' dresses.) Bring your photos, mementos and your wedding dress, if you can! WOMEN'S ONLINE MISSION NOTES – Check out what our women in mission have been doing by visiting the LWML blog @ http://oslclwml.blogspot.com. Via Facebook, search Lutheran Women in Mission and our page pops up. God’s promises are a safe landing…not a calm passage. HEAR YE, HEAR YE – Imagine a place that connects member's needs, interests, talents, and passions. The Board of Stewardship is developing such a place. To start it off, they are inviting every member to complete a fun and creative inventory (survey). The information will be used within the congregation only, to allow members to use their gifts for the Lord‘s work. This inventory is available at the Olan Mills picture taking sessions and the Welcome Center. THURSDAY WORSHIP – Summer is a time when many people take time to travel, relax at the cottage, go fishing, or simply spend time enjoying the outdoors. God's creation should be enjoyed. In response, we should not forget to Thank and Praise our Heavenly Father. OSLC has established the Thursday service at 7pm for those who can't attend worship on the weekends. This service is an excellent way to keep our focus on things above. If you are not available to worship on Sunday, please consider attending on the Thursday prior to the Sunday you will be missing. SUMMER LIBRARY HOURS – The OSLC library will continue to be available to members this summer during regular office hours…Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Michelle‘s lunch break is from 12-12:30pm each day; on occasion, you may find the building locked for a portion or all of that time period. 8TH GRADE GRADUATION! – Green Bay Trinity's 1st 8th grade graduation has been a long time coming, and it is finally a reality. It's been 7 years since the school opened and now this big event is upon us. Join us at Christ of the Bay on Thursday, May 27 at 6:30pm. There will be a small reception afterward. We would like everyone to come and celebrate with our 8th graders, our teachers, and our school. A seed planted 7 years ago has become fruitful in every way. We fight assisted suicide knowing that the eternal fight for human life won. We fight against everything that tempts us to pride or despair, everything that tempts us to sin and idolatry, everything that tempts us to be disobedient, murderous, unchaste, stealing, lying, covetous rebels. We fight not with the weapons of this world, but with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.‖ Rev. Christopher S. Esget, Pastor, Immanuel Evangelical-Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Virginia “Life Quote” is from Lutherans for Life-www.lutheransforlife.org
