VISITORS ARE GOD’S GIFT – Visitors and friends are always welcome to worship with us. Please let us know you
were here; fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with today‟s date, your name, address, phone number, etc.
Please come and worship with us again!
CHILDREN WELCOME – The nursery and Sunday School are back in business today. Children are welcome to the
Nursery (toddlers to age 3) or Sunday School (age 4 to grade 6). The nursery is located in the basement; SS children are
dismissed to class after the Children‟s Message. Children‟s bulletins, for ages 3-6 and 7-12, can be found on the counter
in the Narthex. If you need assistance, please talk to an usher.
PORTALS OF PRAYER – The January-March issue of Portals of Prayer is now available on the counter in the Narthex.
YOUTH NIGHT – It‟s back after a short break and so is Confirmation class. Please join us this week Wednesday
beginning at 3:30 pm. A $3 donation is requested for a meal served around 5:00 pm.
2. 2010 OFFERING ENVELOPES – If you have not yet picked up your 2010 offering envelopes, please do so today.
Envelopes are located on the table in the office hallway. Thank you.
COUNCIL MINUTES AVAILABLE – The minutes from the November Church Council meeting can be picked up at
the Welcome Center.
YOUTH SKI NIGHTS ARE BACK!! – The first ski night is scheduled for Friday, 1/22 and the second is Friday, 2/26.
Watch the bulletin and the youth board for details.
RESTING THEIR VOICES – The choir will take a short break during the month of January and begin meeting again on
Tuesdays at 7:00 pm beginning February 2. We thank them for the beautifying our services with their music.
CHAIRS ARISE – When we have larger attendance than normal, like for Christmas Eve services, chairs are set up in the
Narthex for the „overflow‟ of people. A big thank you to all who helped set up and take down those chairs. It‟s wonderful
to see so many folks in church…let‟s work together to make that a weekly problem instead of an annual one, okay?
HOW DOES SHE DO IT? – You might think that Michelle in the office is a „know-it-all‟ but she has a secret…she
listens (and reads)! If your contact information (phone number, address or email) has changed, call or send an email to let
her know. If you have an event coming up and want to advertise it in the announcement sheet, send your information by
email to info@oslc-gb.org no later than noon on Tuesday. If you have something to add to the monthly newsletter, get
that information to the office by the 10th of the month. Michelle can only dispense information that she has received…so
help her help the congregation to get the right information on a timely basis.
LITTLE ONES GROW UP SO FAST! – Did your little one grow up faster than you expected? Do you need a toddler
bed for that „next step‟ in his/her life? A toddler bed has been donated for someone if need. If that is you and your little
one, please call Michelle in the office at (920) 468-4065.
START OFF 2010 RIGHT – Make plans to attend the first Fish Fry of 2010; January 8 is the date. A flyer with all of
the 2010 dates thru May can be found at the Welcome Center 2010. Public welcome; invite your friends and neighbors.
SODA DONATIONS ACCEPTED – Cans of Coke and Pepsi products are again requested for the monthly Fish Fry.
Regular, diet and caffeine-free are all needed. Thanks for helping us make the Fish Fry the „place to be‟ every month.
OUR VERY OWN LIBRARY – Is it possible that you don‟t know that OSLC has a library? Books, DVD‟s, CD‟s and
VHS are all available to check out, take home, enjoy and return. Books should come back in two weeks; all other media
are requested back in seven days. It‟s just like the county library system…find the item you want, fill out the card with
your name, phone # and the date taken, place the card in the box and take the item home. New items added frequently so
check us out often.
KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE – Come to the Kindergarten Open House on January 12 at 6:30pm. Parents and
children welcome. Get your questions answered, gather information, see the room, and meet Miss Spatz.
BASKETBALL NIGHT – On Tuesday, January 19, members of Our Saviour are invited to attend the NEWLHS Boy‟s
Basketball games free of charge (just make sure you mention at the door that you are a member of Our Saviour). Boys
from the Trinity/Redeemer teams will play a short game during that night‟s half-time activities. Members of the
Redeemer/Trinity 'A' boy's basketball team will be announced at the end of half-time.
7TH GRADE VISITATION DAY AT NEW LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL – On Wednesday, January 20 from 9:30-
11:30am, NEWLHS will host a special visitation day for 7th graders. That morning all visiting students will learn more
about the excellent Christian education provided by the school as well as meet with the teachers, take a tour of the facility,
learn about the curriculum and extra-curricular programs and hear from past and current students about how attending
NEW Lutheran High School has helped to strengthen their leadership abilities for Christ. For more information, please

LIFE QUOTE – “When we view abortion through the lens of our Christian faith, we do not see a moral issue that needs
correcting or a political issue that needs strategizing. We see a spiritual issue that takes priority. The child in the womb
belongs to God, formed by His hands and purchased by His blood. Abortion not only assaults human life, it assaults the
Creator and Redeemer of human life.” Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb, executive director of Lutherans for Life This “Life
Quote” is from Lutherans for Life–www.lutheransforlife.org
