Electrical & DataSystem
Parts of an Electrical CircuitHot Wires supply power to the device.Neutral Wires carry unused power back to the power source.Ground Wires carry excess dangerous power out of the system to the building ground and into the earth.

20 Amp Circuit Loading Rules Continuously loaded circuits (3 hours or more) must be downrated by 20% …allowing 16 amps per circuit.Kimball Office suggests approximately 10 amps or 10 receptacles to leave room for future growth and changes.

Harmonics Overloading…the overloading and overheating of neutral wires causing electrical malfunction by…sharing neutral wires in circuits.
Circuit Definitions (per BIFMA)Designated Circuit, a single hot line that can share a ground and neutral with other circuits, designated by user for specific equipment use.Dedicated Circuit, a separate hot, neutral and ground that is dedicated to power a specific type or equipment.Isolated Ground Circuit, a dedicated circuit that has a ground that is electrically and mechanically separated from all other circuits.
Customer issuesFor true isolation, the building must have an isolation transformer. This is extremely costly and rare. Most reference to isolated ground is for a separate ground wire back to the main.
