How does it work? Semen is generated in the testicles and is led to the epididymis, where it is stored for several days. Once a mature, ejaculation occurs and is expelled through the vas deferens to the spermatic cord. Here, the vas deferens joins the seminal vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct. This crosses the prostate and empties into the urethra. Upon ejaculation, the muscular movements propel the sperm forward. Seminal vesicle Deferens duct Epididymis Testicle
Functions To produce, maintain and transport sperm and protective fluid (semen). To discharge sperm within the female reproductive tract. To produce and secrete male sex hormones.  For example: testosterone.
