- 2. Initial Reaction • My initial thoughts regarding the set brief is the endless opportunities and possibilities on what to do. • This will also give me the opportunity to use more photoshop skills, specifically editing people and photographs via the software. • As I have had previous experience with magazines through media studies I am already aware on how to analyse them as well as the correct terminology. • With magazines, there are plenty of opportunities to explore with the genres, house style etc.

- 4. Mind Map This mind map is looking into more detail on a fashion magazine and exploring different ideas that could be done. An example is the UO magazine, focusing solely on one brand and then there would be articles exploring their popularity, the different styles etc.

- 7. Mood Board – Colour Theory When creating this magazine, one thing that I want to be focusing on greatly is the use of colour. This can be from the text, images and just the general colour scheme as different colour connote different things such as red = passion, anger and blue = calmness, sadness and so on. One way to make the colours aesthetically pleasing to the audience is using opposite colours such as yellow and blue which contrast and are also opposite each other on the colour wheel.

Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood • One thing I have noticed that repeated throughout not only the images but the different mood boards was the posing/composition of the subject, especially with the fashion magazine mood board. This could be because of the ‘aesthetic’ in which I was looking under. How will your mood board influence your final product? • The mood board will influence my final product as it will help me decide the types of shots I want to photograph, different compositions and layouts, art styles as well as the different colour schemes and what they will indicate.
