2. Initial Reaction
First hearing what we were doing this term I initially had a good
feeling about it, I immediately thought of different ideas I could use
and how I would position the articles etc. One of my goals is to
become a journalist, so this print project is the perfect for me to
have a go at creating articles and furthering my knowledge on
magazines and print media. I was also interested to start the
project because, in my opinion it is unlike the other 3 topics we’ve
gone through. The three past topics have been dependent on
Photoshop and premiere software.
5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
In my mood board there is a calming tone in all the photos. For my magazine I want to have calm and pastel
colours. I researched different animal cruelty campaigns. I think using calm colours will attract the reader
because with the sensitive subject of animal cruelty relaxing colours will calm the tone of the magazine.
I also included different double page spreads from animal magazines to see what different styles I could include
in my magazines.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
My mood board is going to be influenceable to my final product because through creating my mood board its
given me a lot of ideas that I can include. And while researching I found a lot of websites about animal cruelty
and to prevent it, this was very helpful and included different facts and figures that I can use in my articles.
