Deze presentatie gaat in op wat architectuur is, hoe korte en lange termijn voordeel gehaald kan worden met architectuur en wat de valkuilen zijn in een architectuurtraject.
TOGAF is een belangrijke standaard voor enterprise-architectuur en beschrijft onder meer een methode en te ontwikkelen producten. De standaard is alleen niet erg toegankelijk beschreven en bevat daarnaast ook allerlei zaken die niet altijd belangrijk zijn. Danny Greefhorst zal daarom een praktische invulling van TOGAF beschrijven die ervoor zorgt dat het eenvoudiger wordt deze standaard toe te passen. Hij zal laten zien welke activiteiten, technieken en producten het meest belangrijk zijn en bij elkaar de essentie van TOGAF en enterprise-architectuur weergeven. Aan de hand van concrete voorbeelden uit de praktijk wordt het voor de deelnemers ook duidelijk hoe zij dit zelf zouden kunnen doen in hun eigen organisatie.

This presentation describes a structured approach to creating a business-focussed information technology strategy.
An effective business-oriented IT strategy is an opportunity to resolve the disconnection and to ensure the IT function is able to and does respond to business needs and is trusted by the business to provide IT solutions.
The IT strategy will consist of static structural elements relating to the organisation of the IT function:
• Capabilities – skills and abilities the IT function should possess and be able to use effectively and efficiently
• IT Function Structure – the organisation and arrangement of the sub-functions and their responsibilities and relationships
• Operating Model – how the IT function work and delivers value and the processes it implements and operates
• Staffing And Roles – the numbers of people, their roles, responsibilities, expected skills, experience and abilities, workload, reporting structures and expected ways of operating
It will also include dynamic elements relating to initiatives, both enabling initiatives within the IT function and specific business initiatives required to achieve the business strategy.

and this White Paper provides both theoretical preparation and practical guidance for
users of the ArchiMate language working on such initiatives.
This work supports The Open Group vision of Boundaryless Information Flow by
further enabling the combined use of the TOGAF standard and the ArchiMate
modeling language for consistent representation of architectural information across

De samenleving wordt steeds complexer. En dat geldt vaak ook voor bedrijven en hun ICT. Grote ondernemingen en bedrijven in het MKB hebben te maken met meer producten, meer diensten, meer afdelingen en groeiende regelgeving. Maar ook in complexe (markt)omstandigheden wil je rendement halen uit jouw marketinginspanningen, kosten verlagen, risico’s verkleinen – kortom, de performance verbeteren. Dat betekent dat de kwaliteit van de management-informatie cruciaal is. Een nieuwe architectuur voor jouw Business Intelligence omgeving kan die kwaliteit waarborgen. Ook in de toekomst.
